Largest Rooms are in the newly refurbished rooms around the low 2000's. If you have mobility problems let reception know they will try to get you a room close to the bars/reception and no stairs to climb.

The streets of Sousse are vey dirty and me and my friend could not even walk across the road without getting hastled by the local men. The camel ride was the best experience for us. We didn't feel safe to go out at night to any pubs/clubs so we had to stay in our hotel. Nice beaches but thats about it!!

The resort itself was actually really nice, I would have preferred to be staying in Port El Kantoui myself, which is absolutely wonderful.

If you go as a group of girls, I wouldn't advise going out by yourself at night, especially if you're blonde!!! The attention from the men can be quite overwhelming, however if you're with a partner or family, they leave you alone.

Sousse beach is good, Boujafaar is a lively beach with water sports, chill out places, restaurants everywhere. It's frequented by tourists and locals and at night locals love to sit along the plage.

I like sousse because I can eat and travel cheaply around, it's a real city, even though there's tourists, real people live and work here unlike the purpose built resorts of yasmine hammamet and kantaoui or the desolate skanes.

There is alot of construction going on and alot of derelict buildings and land which can sometimes make the place look untidy.

I love sousse, everything is here, from clubs, restaurants, beach, transportation, hotels, apartments, shopping malls, medina, metro. It doesn't get much better than this for an area to stay in Tunisia.

A beautiful resort, our hotel was halfway between Sousse and the harbour, a half hour walk in either direction. Clean beautiful beaches with white soft sand. Not much night life but we stayed mostly in the hotel at night for the entertainment. We are middle aged, so all night partying and night life was not what we went for.
Highly recommended.

A first sight of Sousse you are like... What the .....
However this is North Africa. The tourist parts are generally clean, but the medina is typically Tunisian. Prepear yourself for a few smells. Don't let this put you off though. There are loads of tourist bars and Port El Kantoui is only an 8 dinar taxi ride away (about 3 pound) This is the most beautifull resort in Tunisia centred around a nice marina. If you are looking for a nice bar try the Irish bar in port el kantoui. Although they don't sell Guniess its very nice.

Sousse is a very busy port/market town.Tour Khalif is on the outskirts, about 30mins walk away. As I said before taxis are a very cheap way to get about. The beach is nice and clean with plenty of sunbeds. You can use the facilites at the hotel next door which has an indoor pool.

We spent most of our holiday within the hotel complex. Took only one trip out of complex during hours of darkness and felt somewhat intimidated by groups of local youths hanging around on street corners, The Tunisian version of 'Hoodies' but this did not spoil our stay.

Only visited Port Sousse twice during our stay. to visit the 'fixed price' shop for gifts and souvineers, lovely shop. Also took a stroll around the square,, LOTS of hassel from the local traders but not as bad as we have experienced in Turkey.. so pleasently suprised.

Did feel sorry for the local kids that were begging from the tourists in the square.

Hammam Sousse is a pleasent resort far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to be convenient!! Great Eats include Cafe Med in Port El Kantoui and the Medina City Centre at the end of the drive, if you fancy some night life, Bonapartes in Sousse is an absolute must, all the taxis will know where you are refering to as is also very popular with the locals!!
