The best rooms are on the 6th floor, lots of restaurant around hotel, sea just around the corner.

Don't be fooled by the hotel being 4* and don't go all inclusive.

We never used First choice for our excursions as we had read about sangerme tours being good value and service.
Yes they are very good! My husband and son did the jeep safari which they are raving on about still.
My daughter and myself did the horse safari as she can ride so she desperatly wanted to do it.It looked expensive but I pay for lessons every week so I new it wasnt.Three hours for £25 each. The villagers were all very nice as well.
A very nice area .
First time I have visited Turkey but would love to go back.

Side is a brilliant resort! Clean, action packed, and full of friendly people. The staff in the shops near the hemera hotel are pleasant and helpful!
The bars are excellent, though sometimes the staff are a little bit pushy to get your custom, but they are very welcoming.
It was our best holiday ever and we would highly recommend it to anyone!!!

A very well looked after hotel with friendly staff who are always happy to help with a nice small stretch of beach and good entertainment.
Would stay at the Paloma Perissia again.

The resort was just a small but lovely town with a few shops and a few bars, we did not spend any time there in the evening but did have a big spend up in the shops there. We did spend an afternoon on the beach there which is nicer than the hotel one but due to the kids and the heat we spent more time at the pool.

The resort itself is massive it has a waterslide park which is well maintained but can get a bit busy, but is near to the beach so you can escape if you wish.
The beach is long and fairly wide with soft sand and was almost deserted when we went down to it. It shelves gently into the sea and you can walk out fairly far, the only downside if you can call it that is that the resort is geared up for Germans and Russians and the staff seemed to speak very little English but if this doesn't bother you you shouldn't be dissapointed with your choice of holiday.
We would go again and met English people who were on there second and third visit, remember though to get up fairly early as the sunbeds get taken up, by 8 in the morning most had gone except for those on the beach.
Food is great and plenty of it with a good variety to please all palets, they also like euros but will change up stirling for you in the shops if you want to but something but it is easier for you to take euros as you know where you stand.

Colakli is a small expanding resort with a few bars/restaurants and shops, one good thing was the shops in the small shopping centre allowed you to shop without harassment.
There was a money exchange which offered poor rates ,do not take Turkish lira ,sterling is ok if you change to euro's in side, best to take euro's in the first place.
Kumkoy is larger with more bars shops etc and shop till you drop. Manavgat is also good most probably the best place to shop. You can catch a dolmus from side to here and get off when you see the river and go on the river tour for 10 euros's.
Side is reached by minibus and then a small train for final 1/2 mile or so through ruins, and more roman ruins.
You then get total hell from shopkeepers who will not leave you alone and will not give a price unless its double the price approx then it takes you two apple teas and 3 more prices and one attempt to leave shop before you are somewhere near a final price.
Not a place to go to shop quickly. I will say generally speaking, the Turkish people cannot do enough for you and would gladly return,
