The best rooms are on the 6th floor, lots of restaurant around hotel, sea just around the corner.

Don't be fooled by the hotel being 4* and don't go all inclusive.

Beaches

I liked the beach in Side, the water was clean and the beach had waiter service which was much appreciated. The resort is not ideal for the elderly as there are lots of hills and steep steps down to the beach.
There were lots of bars and restaurants but the hassle does get you down after a while. I tried ignoring them but they either chase after you or give you a mouthful. I found this a bit intimidating , especially as I was with another female friend and not in a couple. Turks are renowned for being friendly but I only find this to be the case if they are trying to get their leg over or fleece you for money ! This may sound cynical but they just seemed very transparent to me. Another myth about Turkey is that it is dirt cheap. I did not find this to be the case and I dont understand how they justify asking for 14 turkish lira for a flat , lukewarm glass of vodka and coke ! I suggest sticking to Efes beer which is about 3 lira for a large bottle. The food is pretty good, especially the kebabs. Steer clear of the english breakfasts, they havent got a clue how to do them and you are in danger of being ill at the sight or taste of them.
Apart from the hassle from turkish men (they probably seemed a bit desperate as it was nearing the end of the season, that doesnt say much for me!!) I would recommend Side , maybe before september though as it was rather quiet at that time of year. I prefer the weather later on as I have been to Turkey in july and it was unbearably hot. The best places to go are Stones bar and Kiss. The Underground bar is ok but I could not form an accurate opinion as it was very quiet in september. The bar staff were a few sandwiches short of a picnic which some may find amusing, I just found it plain irritating.

Prices here are very high compared to other Turkish resorts, we found that drinks outside the hotel were not much cheaper especially if you take advantage of happy hour, but if you do go outside I would strongly recommend Linda’s Bar for great music and dancing, if you stick to just 1 bar throughout your stay you will find that by the end of your visit you are treated like royalty, we received plenty of free drinks and snacks and were even able to reserve tables for the following evening which when we arrived were covered in flowers and decorations.
Side is a pleasant little town full of shops bars and restaurants which can easily be explored in a morning, the goods in all the shops (including jewellers) are not priced which means if you are interested in buying something you have to ask, be prepared to haggle otherwise you will be better off in the hotel shops, never pay the asking price and don’t be afraid to walk away as they will soon come after you if the price can be lowered, a calculator with exchange rate option will help you secure a bargain .
Take a Dolmus to travel locally, for only 65p you can visit Manavgat market on Thursdays, I would recommend this to buy Jeans, T Shirts and Leather Goods at the best prices locally but as in most cases you get what you pay for, don’t buy the cheapest (4 for £10) T Shirts unless you want them for dusters after a couple of washes.
On previous holidays we have always booked our own excursions using local tour companies to save money, however this time we failed miserably, we used Inland Touristic who managed to send us on the wrong tour, left us stranded 50 miles from the hotel and overcharged us, I would recommend you use your travel company for all excursions in this resort to save time and money, even trips to Antalya and Alanya by bus were dearer than with Thomson.

The resort was spotless the local people work very hard to Maintain the standard at the hotel, Our room was serviced every day by a maid.
The beach is a Natural beach an not man made therefore it doesnt have white sand but its convinient if you dont like it there are 17 pools to choose from. Water sports are available from the beach also.

Good location right next to the beach.
There was no real reason to travel to town and it was a lovely complex with the grass trees, views etc.

This resort is wonderful it has everything... from shopping to wonderful meals to history.
If you get a taxi from your hotel they can only go so far because of the ruins but where they do drop you off its very central.
The resort has alot of shops bars and only about 4 nightclubs!
The resaurants are lovely you can eat round the ruins which is very nice or you can eat along the harbour of course a meal in the harbour is alittle more expensive but worth it.
It is a big resort be didnt see all of it or eat in the resaurants we wanted to as we didnt have time.. there is a restaurant that is a boat looked lovely.. next to that there is a little bar where you can sit by the see and have a drink.. was very cheap and a real pretty view do try this.
Everything about this place is perfect do try it.

Would i visit this resort again, would visit turkey again full stop!! and the answer is no!!
There isnt even a resort to speak of, the only good thing about this place is the dolphin bar in the village.
For anything sort of nitelife you have to take a 1hour bus trip!
Though there are a few shops in the village, but they arent that great!!
We did take a few trips out, shopping and sight seeing, but again even these weren't that great. Shopping in turkey is not a nice experience at all, shop workers are so rude its unbelievable, they attack you, this is not a understatement, i was chased from one shop having abuse hurled at me, after deciding not to buy a pair of trainers. I also got abuse from some kid, after refusing to buy a bag, with him following me for about 10mins giving me abuse. My girlfriend was touched up my shop workers, and when we complained they just hurled abuse again!
I will never go back to turkey, ever. Which is a shame as the country is amazing, but the shop workers etc let it down badly!!

Side town is a few mins away in a taxi (taxis available right outside hotel entrance). Side town great for shopping (haggling!) but the turks try and get you in their shop- they start talking German to you and you haven't got a clue what they're saying! If you like jeans its great, the shops are full of them- always haggle. My boyfriend even haggled when buying an Armani watch and got it cheaper. Don't bother taking Turkish Lira- take Euros instead- they prefer Euros. Shops sell loads of fake designer gear (bags etc). The bars on the harbour are good but bit expensive. There are a few clubs around - Apollo (v expensive) and The Lighthouse were two we went to. Beach was gorgeous and clean- didn't go in the sea but it looked lovely. Side is highly recommended to all.

The hotel is situated next to a large man made lake around which has sprung up a large market but be careful the prices are inflated as the locals think that everyone has plenty of money because the area is surrounded by large 4/5 star hotels !! You will get a better deal in the market at Manavgat which is only a short bus ride away, or go to Side. If you can tear yourself away from the hotel there is a lovely waterfall to visit and cool off in and trips up the river. It is also lovely to walk along the river. Everywhere is so clean

The hotel is ideally situated. 35 minute walk to Side along the beach or a short taxi ride.6Euros. Across the road from the hotel are lots of shops and a few bars. Side is a great little town with ruins to visit and plenty of shops and bars. Take Euros as most things are priced in euros.
Resort & Beach very clean. Lots of water sports available at competitive prices. Went paracending with my son. 40Euros for both of us. Great fun.
