Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

I found the resort quite expensive compared to other resorts I have visited in Turkey. The meal we had in Charlys restaraunt was the best meal we had during the week. Give the Mandarin a miss, they spend so much time trying to get you into the restaraunt and when you go in, they don't bother with you. The resort was very clean and people were friendly, although most people hassled you all of the time. Make sure you go to the Romeo and Juliet bar, great staff and very friendly, they did not hassle us at all. All in all not a bad place, but not as nice as Ovacick and the Yuvam hotel.

Icmeler is a lovely resort with very friendly locals.
The beach area is kept clean and tidy with lots of sunloungers and parasols available at this pretty cove style location.
The restaurants and bars are all very reasonable - where else would you get a full cooked breakfast for £1.50?
The local people of Icmeler are all very friendly and like to chat and find out about where you come from, they may ask you to go into their restaurant/bar/shop but they are not offended if you say "no thank you", just remember that they will not forget if you say you'll come back later or tomorrow.
We would recommend this resort to couples and families (we saw most restaurants had high chairs available for young children) and would definately retun in the near future as there is so much in Turkey to see and do that it cannot be done in just one week and this resort had so many qualities that we would like to come back again and see some of the places we didn't see this time.

The resort of Icmeler was excellent all locals were very friendley and naver forget your name. The bars were good and the food excellent. If you visit Icmeler you must go to dreamboys international which is situated at the end of the canal were the staff are excellent as is the food and service. I will defentley be going back to Icmeler next year.

The resort is excellent not too comercialised but plenty of places to eat drink and shop.
The only thing that puts you of walking down the town is the hassle you get off restraunts trying to get you to eat in them and shop keepers trying to get you into their shops to buy.
We did not go on to beach but looked like it was like a stone dust not sand. we booked all our trips through icemeler travel centre carol looks after you very well and she explains exactly what to expect and get on the trips i can recommend the jeep safari ask for robin to drive you he is crazy and a good laugh, also the surf and turf boat trip we had 2 brilliant days out.

Generally clean resort with good variety of entertainment and night life.

Didnt really think that there was much to do for children in Icmeler, however mine were happy to stay around the pool. Night life was good and everywhere was clean.
The beach was clean but has horrible little stones on it no really sand. Other than that though it was excellent.

Even though it is quite away from the town itself it is a lovely walk to the town lots to see on the way, food was delicious, apartments cleaned every day maids were maticulous in there cleaing. I would definately stay there again.

After visiting Icmeler last year and loved it. We went back this year and enjoyed it just as much. Lots of new bars opened up. Had a lovely meal in the Lighthouse so much so that we went twice. Lira rate was good, much better than last year. Prices the same. Weather fantastic, very hot on the last 4 days had to hop,skip and jump on the beach.

Icmeler is one of my favourite resorts.
It is very scenic. The beach is coarse sand/shingle. Romeo & Juliets is a very nice bar and they treat you well, and are very friendly.
For the ladies only,visit the world of hair. I get my hair done there every time I go and he is fantastic.
The canals are lovely as are the flowers and the trees beside them. A bottle of beer costs £1.2/£1.4 & breakfast £1.00.
The beach sunbeds £1.00.
