Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

icmeler was amazing people were soooo friendly and couldnt do enough for us we are going back in august we enjoyed it that much. shame about the hotel though.

Icemeler is a lovely clean resort with something for everyone as we are not beach lovers I cannot comment except to say it looked very clean! I would definately visit again

Icmeler is a little isolated, but it is not too noisy and everyone is friendly.
Get to visit the original old village as there are a few places to eat Turkish Snacks - Kelem's Haven next door to the bakers. My wife and I demolished a loaf and a half on each visit!
Hire bikes and get around - it's easy riding. There's an active market on a wednesday. Try the dolmus to Turunc just over the hills/mountain views are amazing and only 3.50 lira (about £1.20) got to be the best value.
We'd go again.

there are loads of bars and restaurants around icmeler and even though you do get hassled sometimes they do it in the best of fun.
i went to captain bulls~~ts and wonderboys who were both fantastic and very entertaining i would recommend both of these to everyone familys, couples and singles.
deffinatly going back by the end of the year.

Just returned again from Icmeler.
What fantastic people they are.
We used the Amalia resturant and bar most nights (across from the Blue Rainbow and under the Alinda Hotel) They couldnt do enough for us.I came out with a very nasty heat rash and Wiggy (Erhan) popped me on the back of his scooter straight to the chemist.
After a few Turkish words I got my Ointment and the rash had gone in 24hrs.The resort itself is spotless. The bug spray comes round most days and all the mozzies are gone.No matter were you go in Icmeler you will find entertainment to your liking.All music is turned off at midnight but there is low back ground music if you like to stay out late.
We didn't go on the beach this year due to it being a very fine shingle beach. Much better than Marmaris though.
Would we return? We are off To Icmeler again in 12 weeks time and we only got home 6 days ago.That must say something about Icmeler.No other place like it.

Icmeler has been designed for a great holiday; compact lively, friendly with beautiful backdrops of the mountains and a good beach.
The people are so friendly, go in a bar once and if you return you will be welcomed like a member of their family.
The bars are too numerous to mention them all but you can have a really good night at Linakers bar especially if you like 70's music and mowtown. We bought a few item from a small shop, spent about £2.50 we were treated like royalty having a good laugh with the owner who wanted to keep us talking with him for what seemed like all night.
This was my first stay in Icmeler (I have been to Marmaris 3 times) I found Icmeler more "up market", you get less hassle. I will visit this redort again.

Icmeler is a great resort which I think caters for the more mature couple (myself included)
Entertainment is the same in most bars bar staff dancing and Michael Jackson who is fine the first couple of times you see him but after a couple of years (yes years) he does get a bit tedious. I think that the bars really do need to rethink their entertainment.

icmeler is a very clean resort it has won an award for the last three years on its cleanliness.
the entertainment is good but all music has got to be turned down by midnight so you can be assured of a peacful sleep.
most bar have entertainment a lot of it is put on by the staff ,but it is very well done and so enjoyable.
the beaches are lovely but the sand is a bit gravely but are very clean . a lot of good water sports .

Icmeler is one of the cleanest areas that I have visited while on holiday over many years.
All of the main streets are cleaned by workers and cleaning machinery daily. All of the restaurants have good facilities, clean modern style toilets, which came as a surprise from previous visits to Turkey.
How about baby changing facilities in the male toilets, including useful things like cotton buds, sewing kits, all free of charge? The silly things that you might forget to pack, but desperately need in emergencies?
The advertised trips looked to be very good value, and the usual hassle was not evident wherever we went, no street sellers allowed into bars, no children hawking goods in the streets.
Again, my view, but a joy to visit, and a pleasure to take in the beauty of Icmeler's greenery.
I hope that 2006 will show that the resort is of a high quality and well worth giving full consideration to for a good holiday!!
