Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

defo coming back to turkey. ok the waiters are pervy but come on.... us brits have always loved the attention! Dont like the beach but went to cleopatra island and made up for it! (its a must go)

Resort: We never saw any litter on the streets and there wasnt many bins either so we had to put our rubbish in our pockets until we eventually came to one.
The bars are mainly aimed at families and are only open till 1 am latest. We went into Marmaris one night and got the last bus back at 1.30am and nothing was open. A man did re-open his chip shop for us though which was nice of him.
Restaurants are good value for money and we didnt go to one which wasnt nice.
Beach: Only went to the beach once but it was clean. The bars next to the beach were much more pricier than normal though.
Most of the people in the resort were friendly and helpful. There was only a few blokes which were typical leering and sarcastic comments at you.
I would go back to the resort again as a couple but probably choose a different hotel.

Hotel was in good position for beach, shopping and evening entertainment, just far enough for a stroll to everywhere.
Beach was very clean, with plenty of sunbeds reasonably priced.
Watersports were readily available.
Food and evening entertainment was good and varied.

Lovely sandy beach, fantastic water sports. At evening the resort lights up and shops sell outside, its just lovely. Only thing is like all of turkey, learn to haggle and be prepared to say no. Otherwise you will eat and drink every 2 feet down every road.

In general we enjoyed Icemeler more upmarket than Marmaris.
Fave restaurant Magestic{chinese} on canal next to outdoor market or complete alternative Rosies Bar set in old
village lovely home made food in romantic setting.
Recommend jeep safari great day out be prepared to get wet. {tip} book all trips together to aquire best discount through various street agents .

If you like beaches you will not go far wrong with Icmeler.
You can pay for some sun bed areas or walk around the bay and you can find some sections free if you wish.
Price per day for beds ranges from 2 - 4 YTL or turkish lira that is.
Never found a bar with better food than Mr Cook across from the Elif (and trust me we did look around and try others)

HSBC bank located in the centre square.
Only one resturant with an upstairs floor over looking the street (give it a miss - wish we had). Mr Cook across from the Hotel Elif - 74 Sokak) best food we found. Try the mushroom starter fantastic !
More resturants in Icmeler than you can shake a stick at.
The only thing that annoys me with Turkey is the airport Dalaman. It is not like other aiports and the small duty free shops inside all quote different prices, so shop around, and if they quote pounds then pay in pounds, otherwise when the back track to quote in lira the price somehow changes because you paid more in the first place pound to Lira than they suggest. be warned ! plus cafe in airport is just a rip off !

Icmeler is a beautiful resort.
It is much nicer than neighbouring Marmaris.
The resort is ideal for people of all ages and all different groups of people.

We have been Icmeler a few times I keep going back every year. We went Eastenders pub a few times its brill its a must, the staff are so cool and the set restarant is a must for eating.
The food is so lovely the best food I've ever tasted the staff are so heplful most welcoming they never pester you to go in. I will be returning in Sept I can't wait well what can I say icmeler is so nice and relaxing.

The hotel was literally 30 seconds from the beach and all the major restaurants were minutes away! Brilliant! The people were friebndly, but the hassle from people trying to get you into their restaurants did get annoying, but apart from that, friendly.
