Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Even the Camel wore a nappy, that shows how clean the town is.
The resort comes alive at night, we didn't see as many places as we would of liked to as the ones we went to were so good we kept going back (especially Deniz Kapisi).
We never had a bad meal, some places are not as good as others and are more expensive but we never went anywhere we didn't enjoy.
I prefer sandy beaches and this one isn`t that, our first visit there and I ended up with broken glass in my shoe. All the sunbeds ruin the look of the beach, it wasn't for me but I had a pool to lounge beside!

Icmeler is the neighbourghing town to marmaris, the bay is surrounded by mountains it is very pretty also very clean.
There is a lot of entertainment in the bars of a night. Many restaraunts to choose from at midnight the music stops as this is the law now, but you can still stay drinking in the bars, the beach is man made and you can hire a sun bed with matress for 1mill.
If you go up to where the dolmus terminates many of the bars supply free sun beds.

Icmeler remains a very friendly place to visit, clean with a wide variety of entertainment hence our 12 consecutive year. Roll on August!!!!!

We found Icmeler friendly and with plenty to keep all ages and groups of people occupied. Bar and restaurant staff always had a friendly word and some banter.
The place was immaculate.
A small concern was constantly being approached at all shop and restaurant entrances making a quiet walk around the resort impossible. However, this added to the atmosphere once you got used to it.
To be fair, we were never harrased and a polite no thank you always sufficed.
Market on a Wednesday is great fun but go early or late in the afternoon.

Icmeler is spotless with plenty bars with evening entertainment.
Drinks both soft and alcohol have become very expensive meal prices vary. As to where you eat but good value train gives good view of resort for only 2tl.
Music can be very loud if bedroom near disco but all goes quiet after midnight. Not big selection of music in dicso's after two weeks a bit tiring.

First visit to Icmeler, 3rd to Turkey. Loved Icmeler.
There's plenty of bars and restaurants so that you can go somewhere different every night and still feel (as we do!) that you can go back next year and STILL try different places.
Last year in Olu Deniz (which we also loved) we were mossied to bits. We went well prepared this time, but not a bite amongst the four of us. We DID see the van spraying so presumably that helped.
We were lucky and stayed with the very nicest of families, but it seemed everyone was nice in Icmeler.
Favourite restaurants? Love Boat, Wayside, Waterfall, all the obvious ones. But as a bit of a fluke, we went to the restaurant next to our apartments on the last night, and the food was lovely.
Called the 'Dost' restaurant, it was more or less opposite the Efem apartments, right away from the 'town', if you walk up the central road from the town heading to he old village. Give it a try - there was hardly anyone in most nights, but trust us, the flambe's were great.

This resort is one of the most friendly I have been to, the kids are most welcome in any of the bars and resaurants, and the staff will keep them entertained for hours. The resort itself is clean and very pretty and there are plenty of excusions you can go on if you fancy a change. Icmeler is not as noisy as its neighbouring resort of Marmaris but you can get a boat from Icmeler to Marmaris which is nice and the shopping is better there.
I would reccomend this resort for families, the only draw back is the beach is pebbly and the water is quite deep.

Icmeler is a resort, I would say, for the more mature generation and family orientated visitors. Don't get me wrong, there is still plenty to do for the younger generation but I would think the kids who are after a wilder time are better off going to Marmaris.
The resort is clean (even have the Road Sweeping lorries cleaning the streets every day something you don't see in England)
The Beach is very coarse sand but plenty of room and sunbeds are cheap (£1) or even free (but you are expected to order food and drink from the beach waiters).
Yes I would definitely visit this resort again, so peaceful yet so lively, you can choose!

Everywhere is so clean, no litter on the floor, everywhere is washed every day. There are many bars and restaurants to pick from you can eat what you like, english, chinese, indian what ever you want. There are plenty of sunbeds at the beach as well as plenty of bars that will look after you while you are there. The sand is not like ours but it is clean and the water very clear.
Icmeler is a lot quiter than Marmaris which is the other side of the bay and can be reached by taxi boat or dolmus.
Cannot wait till October 05 to go back.

The hotel was centrally located, 2 minute walk to the beach, directly in the centre of the bars and restaurants although not too noisy as local laws determined the music had to be switched off around midnight. Local market walking distance on a Wednesday. Transport buses straight outside the hotel going to all the local destinations. Boat taxis to local resorts from the beachfront. The beach was very shingly so flip flops were adviseable. The sea was freezing but an altogether excellent place!
