Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler is a lovely place and we will be returning in October without the kids to see a bit more than we did this time we will not be going back to Grand Aquarium. The people there were fantastic they couldnt do enough for you . We thought the place was very safe even for my 11 yr old to walk to the shops on his own without worry or him being ripped off . Manuels(called the Miami bar) is near the old town but is a must because he and the rest of his staff are very friendly(its a little place so blink and you will miss it) .The stonehouse is also very friendly . Oh and try Tommys . They are also now very good friends of ours . All in all a very pleasant holiday and we will see everybody old and new in October

With regard to resort cleanliness, Icmeler ranks highest out of all the holiday destinations I have visited previously. I heard that the resort was cleaned every night when holiday-makers are in bed. This would not suprise me as I never saw litter anywhere.
The resort itself is stunning, every single road is lined with lush green palm -trees, plants, and flowers - the landscaping is amazing. The resort is also littered with children's playparks that are safe and well equipped.
There are an abundance of restaurants to choose from and most of the entertainment takes place in these venues as opposed to bars. I cannot offer any helpful comments on the nightlife for adult parties as I did not have that type of holiday. I did not find any entertainment in resort that was aimed specifically at children. Although entertainment in the restaurants is suitable for children, the family hotels are where you should visit for entertainment aimed specifically at them.
The beach, like the rest of the resort, is very clean. For those with young children it is advised to walk along the beach to find the shallowest parts as they differ. We found that the right hand side of the beach was great for kids who like paddling in very shallow water! The beach is also home to an array of boats offering great trips to surrounding islands.
We found a great variety of shops but unfortunately didn't take advantage of them for 2 reasons: Firstly because both me and my mum are rubbish at bartering and so we usually end up thinking we've got a bargain until we meet someone who got the same item for half the price!!! Secondly because we found the hassle unbearable at times. We have been to Turkey before and therefore felt prepared, but we got hassled so much we never had time to look at the wonderful bargains because we were too busy running past the shops at 80-miles per hour to avoid eye contact. This said, you do get hardened to it, and it's worth mentioning that we went early season so the shopkeepers might have been slightly overbearing because there were less holiday-makers to sell to.
The hassle is my only minor irritation which fades into insignificance when compared to the resort's pluses, of which there are many. It has something to offer everyone whether you want a quiet or lively holiday, I would certainly visit again in the future, and am more than happy to recommend it to users of this site!!!

Icmeler is a lovely resort and very well maintained.
The entertainment was good especially in Venice, there were loads of great restaurants to choose from. We would recommend The Majestic and LoveBoat.
There are no actual bars they are all within restaurants but you are always welcome even for a drink. Turkish hospitalty is outstanding, every one is really friendly and we look forward to seeing them all next year.
The only downside for us was that all music had to be off by midnight.
The beach is beautiful and kept immaculate.

Resort nice and clean. Usual Turkish hospitality, sometimes getting very annoying from resturant staff. But the shops not to bad, didn't try the market, though there was one.Beach area too crowded with sun beds, but scenery from beach stunning.Didn't see any entertainment-maybe going to the wrong places.

Icmeler is a lovely resort, very buzzy with lots going on..they have lovely excursions that are very reasonable from the beach...the locals although pushy with trying to sell things are still very pleasant.

Icmeler is fantastic. It has some brilliant restaurants and bars.We never had a bad meal in the 2 weeks we were there.
I would recommend the Majestic, Dream Boys, Taj mahal,Peking Chinese, The Maestro(the steak is enormous)
One of our favorite bars was the Fess Bar which is about 5 mins from the Golmar. The waiters were lovely especially Onur (Brad Pitt)We certainly will not forget him. The owner, who is swedish and speaks excellent engish is really nice and makes all her customers very welcome.
Whilst there we did have a few trips, Turunc,Bodrum,Turkish
village all of which were great. We did visit Marmaris a few times which is nice but prefer to stay in Icmeler.
We have been to a quite a few places in Europe but our favourite I have to say is Icmeler. You do get a bit of hassle from the shopkeepers and bars but it is all part of the fun.
The turkish people are wonderful and we cannot wait to return.
