Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

The resort was realy clean,The entertainment was good lots of turkish men dancing,there was also traditional turkish dancing as well aswell different shows eg snake shows;breakdancing etc The beaches were clean but they were shingle beaches so they hurt your feet to walk on, and they were packed with sunbeds belonging to the local beach bars they were free as long as you bought food and drinks from them but we spent most of our time at our hotel pool.The only thing i didnt like was the constant hassle walking past bars ,shops etc asking you to come into their bars,restraunts,shops etc.however the Turkish were very friendly and i would definetly come back.

First morning we were there, we heard a loud horn blaring out. On investigation, it was a truck spraying streets with a kind of bug killer. Found loads of dead cockroaches+ in the ground floor entrances later on!
Room cleanliness left lot to be desired, especially bathrooms. Coming from a seaside area, the Icmeler so-called 'beach' was like thefine dirt which lies at the side of our country roads, not like our golden sands! Needless to say, in 14 days, we never went on the beach!
However, if you are not used to a beach, then you would probably find it passable.If you are expecting a high-class hotel, then you will be disappointed.
Expect the equivalent of a 3 star! Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely clean resort fantastic people very laid back not too busy lots of places to eat great beach.

The resort is lovely and so clean the streets are cleaned every day and so nice.
The locals are always trying to make u laugh and talking to u they are very friendly.
The beach is lovely but people sometimes don't keep it clean.
I would definately would go back.

All in all Icmelar is a very clean and friendly place, you will get a small amount of hassle from shop keepers ect, but if you visit Turkey then you have to put up with that.

Turkish are very welcoming wherever you go, we never had a bad meal and the staff wherever we ate were so friendly. Didnt enjoy my little girls birthday at the Waterfall restaurant and wouldnt go there again, that was the only place we were disappointed with.
Shopping is great and you can get some great stuff as long as you persevere with the bartering, and you ignore traders hassling you.
Market is good too but again hard work with the hassle and the heat.
Beach is shingle but very clean.

resort a great place..beach a bit small but very clean,clothes are a great buy so is gold.MUST eat out at the venice bar what a night,great entertainment,and food is delicious..

The resort of Icmeler is picturesque, extremely clean and all the people that we met were very friendly and helpful.
There are plenty of places to eat and various pubs/restaurants with entertainment. A very enjoyable place to stay and we will be returning this year.

Icmeler is my second home and I hope to retire there one day. It is beautiful, the people are wonderful and I dream all year about going back again.
