Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

While the hotel and staff were excellent, service great, weather fantastic, the resort was too commercial, too many punters trying to coach you in.
With jewellery shops by the truck load who wont let you browse, with prices for us and cheaper prices for the locals you felt you were being cheated all the time,especially as none of the perfume is original and smells awful. Counterfit cigs are just rolled up paper or pouches full of god knows what.
The young men telling us British girls were so easy that they respect Turkish woman but not the holiday youths, makes you concerned. Certainly they work hard; up to 18 hours a day for 6 months, so that they have enough to live on when they return home for the other 6 months.
Even after saying all of the above; if they stopped the harrassment, and didnt try to rip you off, I'd probably consider returning as some of the people were lovely and glad to make your stay enjoyable.

Icmeler is a very nice place to come for your holidays, we have been twice and are going again this year.
It is very clean, the people are friendly and the entertainment is good only problem is the music is all turned off at midnight which is good for oldies but no good at all for younger people. The beach is nice usually crowded. The views of the mountains is the best thing about icmeler. would recommend this resort to anybody.

What a lovely place, Icmeler has so much to offer, day trips by coach and boat bookable through Eric, opposite Captain Bullshit restaurant or near Tansas Supermarket on the main road.
Dolmus to Marmaris (bustling busy) or Turunc(laid back chill out), shopping heaven and food that is so fabulously fresh and tasty. Would recommend Captain Bullshit(Warm Beer, Soggy Crisps, Watered Down Whiskey and many other rip offs!)For boat trips out (you will have a side splitting rib bruising belly laugh of a time!) and decent grub in his restaurant,
Rose cafe towards the old village for a real local flavour in her back yard, for a romantic special meal try Hotel Marti "La Grotto", three course meal with a glass of beer or wine for just 20ytl.
For your jewellery, believe me spoilt for choice with numerous outlets I would most strongly advise you to go and see Ihsan Tinaz, he has a very small, blink and you'd miss it, work shop next to the Chill Bar. This man is amazing, I have a genuine love of Gem Stones, don't we all girls, well he kept showing me his packages of diamonds, tanzanite, saphires, emeralds, etc etc. No pressure to buy whatso ever just a joy in a shared enthusiasm, he can make up any design you draw, so if you see something you like describe or draw it and he will have it made by his brother in law on site.
Icmeler is a really nice little town and will have everything around to keep you going for a couple of weeks if not longer. Easy to get around as mainly flat, watch out for the trees in the pavements though.

I have visited Icmeler twice this year in March and May and I am returning on 7th July and then again on th 19th August, so its pretty safe to say I like it. After years of holidaying in Marmaris I am so happy I was introduced to Icmeler, its clean, the beach is fab and the whole place is hugely entertaining!!!

We have been to Icmeler numerous times before and stayed in a variety of different places dotted around, we absolutely love the place and now consider it our second home. The resort is extremely clean and the locals pride themselves on it being a nice place for its visitors to relax on holiday. There is plenty of entertainment to choose from, kareoke, lively bars and shows to the quieter bars for those of us of a certain age. Although I'm not a beach person, its always clean and well maintained although a bit shingley in places so choose your spot beforehand.

I find Icmeler a friendly, quiet resort...more personal than it's big sister Marmaris. Enough shops, bars and restaurants to keep you occupied, but for a really good days shopping, head into Marmaris.
My favourite restaurants in Icmeler are the Titanic (on the main street), the Majestic (on the canal) and the Florida (at the top of the canal) but in general I think the food in Icmeler is of a high standard no matter where you dine.
For a nice romantic walk, go along the seafront towards Marmaris where you'll find a couple of small cafe bars perched on the hill overlooking the sea and Icmeler. It's absolutely lovely there at night time.
If you do choose to go to Icmeler, I hope you love it as much as I do!

Fisrt time to resort and it was fantastic in everyway.
The restaurants are all good and the staff are friendly. Good night at Three Bells and Charlies. Went on boat trip with the green boat met crazy Memhet who also works at Pulse 8 one crazzzzzyyy bloke he is a star.
The boat trip was brilliant. The whole resort is wonderful would recommend it to anyone. Roll on may 2006 cant wait!!!!!!

Icmeler is a beautiful panoramic place which is well maintained and complete. The people are very friendly and its a place which seems to attract you back again The beach is well maintained and a small charge is made for sunloungers.
Entertainment is mainly done by the staff of the bars and the tourists (good fun).
There are endless good restaurants and bars.(dont stick to one) try a new one every day.
Take a boat trip to Turunc (30mins) for an afternoon out

Brilliant place, all over Turkey no hotels apartments etc are above 4 stories AND all building work is banned May to October so it is peaceful. The people from the youngest to the oldest are the best I,ve met with no hint of any problems.The weather is perfect though late July and August can be a little too hot.

We often saw elderly ladies walking around picking litter up that had been dropped, the entertainment was very varied some of which was only suitable for adults but hey some enjoy it the beach was clean just rather gritty snd sticky and yes will visit infact going again next week may 06
