Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

The town is quite busy. The markets are very good for bargins - always barter with the prices, they will always offer you so many for £10 but you can get more. The restaraunts staff pester you all the time and try and get you to go and eat.

We really like Icmeler it was a very friendly resort. It takes ages to walk along the main streets because you are continually stopped and asked were your from. This was okay because they enjoyed talking and trying to get you to go into their bar/shop plus when we said we were from Liverpool they wanted to talk about football etc.
The beach was okay, a bit shindley and you have to pay two million lira for a sunbed but that was fine. Quite enough going on in the resort of a night time, numerous bars which we enjoyed as much as our teenage daughter!
Loads of restaurants/bars were the bar staff provide the entertainment. We enjoyed the Dreamboys bar were every time you ordered a cocktail one of the bar staff balances the tray on his head and climbs the tree outside and dances on your table. Also recommend the Wonderboys bar were they also have a good disco, a Turkish Elvis Presley who puts on a show, but be prepared to be dragged/lifted up to join in games/dancing on the dance floor !!!!
You could get a dolmus easy enough into Marmaris, it only costs just over 1 million lira

I have stayed in Icmeler 4 times. It is hard to give any comments other than positives. This year the roads from the village down to the town were noticebly tidier and in most cases had been resurfaced. Many new homes and holiday villas springing up in the village area leading into the town. Happy that the entertainment stops at 12:00 midnight, we have teenage daughters so went into Marmaris if we fancied a more lively night.

We just love Icmeler & the people of Icmeler. We had a fantastick time. We ate out every night at 11 different places & never had a bad meal. Our favorate places to eat were The Champagne Restaurant Bar, Cocco Beach & The Dreamboys International. The enterainment at night was very good, but sometimes you had to move from bar to bar to find it (good fun). Icmeler is amaizingly clean, considering you can't find any bins anywhere !!!! The beach was goodish but not sandy.

What can I say, I love Icmeler as a place. I would go there any time and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The beach is nice although a bit stoney and shingle. In saying that it did not stop kids playing and building sandcastles. The resort is fantastic. Shops, food and entertainment in abundance. The people are friendly and welcoming. Even if you dont visit their bars or restaurants they are never rude. I would urge anyone to try Icmeler. It is much better than Marmaris. Good value for money and a wonderful holiday was had by us all.

Icmeler is has a lovely relaxed feeling. Plenty of shop and bars with a good reliable bus service. Food was superb ate at a different place nearly every night had very few complaints at all (drinks could be a bit pricey) even had happy hours in some bars. Some restrants would even pick you up and drop you back at your hotel. Took a boat trip which was really great got to see some of the bays and coastal area stopped at Turunc a little harbour very beautiful. Went on a Jeep Safari Fantastic day out for all ages again went to some fantastic places and beaches. Wednesday is market day in Icmeler and Thursday in Marmaris great fun and cheap for all you pressies got to have a go at haggling. We enjoyed our hols so much we will be going to Icmeler again next year.

Icmeler is incredibly pretty, the restaurants are excellent (We liked the Taj Mahal and Coco Beach) and the shopping is to die for - even my husband enjoyed the Wednesday Market where the stallholders assured us that their prices were cheaper than Asda, the Turkish sense of humour is great. Do have a doner kebab and apple tea at the market.A good day out is the boat trip to Turtle Beach and Dalyan mud baths, huge fun, we went with Captain Bullshit who showed us photos of Sting covered in mud.Pammukale is a bit of a trek but well worth it, fantastic calcified pools. We hired a car and went to Amos Bay several times, it is also possible to get there by ferry from Icmeler.

My family had our best holiday ever in Icmeler. The place is beautiful, plenty to do. The people are so friendly. We enjoyed numerous boat trips including a day at the mud baths/turtle beach. Such a good holiday that we have booked to go back next year.

The resort cleanliness was even, I did see unpleasent piles of rubbish in some areas of the town which wasn't nice to experience but apart from that everythink else was ok and upto standard. The resort entertainment, well most streets in the town were lively and fairly busy until early hours of the morning. There were plenty of different resurants, clubs and shops to choose from,we were spoilt for choice. There was also quiet areas of the resort where you could relax and take it easy if you wanted to.The beach well i can't say alot about that i only visited it once but from that experience it was fairly busy and had plenty of sports to get involved with.Yes i would definatly visited this resort again i have big complaints about the area. The people who live and work there care alot about the apperance of the resort from what i saw.
