Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Loved Icemeler - plenty of places to eat in. We liked the Pyramid as staff were very friendly and excellant food.
There was good entertainment everywhere. Enjoyed the Turkish music and dancing.
The beach was ok but got a bit crowded for us.
I would definitely visit Icemeler again - planning to return 2006 (but to a different hotel!!) If anyone can recommend a good B&B there please let me know.

What can I say everything about this resort is fab and I will visit it each time I return to Turkey. Plenty to do but do book in resort as rep prices are a lot more expensive.
Try the Friends bar in the centre, they are great people and even remembered us when we went to visit them whilst staying in Marmaris.
Maybe because my partner and myself got so drunk that the bar staff took us back to our hotel.
How nice of them, not something you would find back here in England eh!On the whole Icmeler is a great resort and would recommend it for all ages.

The resort, Icmeler, was very nice indeed. There was plenty going on, and the beach was brilliant with plenty of sunbeds for everyone at a small charge. Can't wait to go back to Icmeler itself!

this is a great resort with restaurants and bars galore. there is always plenty of entertainment in the bars and the staff are always on the go - where they get there energy from is beyond me. we were always treated very well. the deniz karaoke bar is well worth a visit, great food and entertainment and the staff are great.they also have their own free beach which is very clean and not too overcrowded. we also had a great night at the lion and also the three bells - they can be very loud but it is law in the resort that all music is turned off at midnight. we have made alot of friends in the resort over the years and we were sorry to leave them especially max at the deniz bar. we will return again.

Icmeler is beautiful part of Turkey with plenty to do and see. Marmaris is accessible by water boat for £2 per person or 40p by dolmus (the local minius service). However, if you are looking for clubs,Icmeler is not the place to be. The are some lovely bars and restaurants that offer excellent Turkish, English and Italian food. Prices vary between tukish and english owned restaurants. A two course meal for two people with drinks costs around £20. The best restaurant is 'Bonjour' (situated behind the taxi ranks in the centre of town) or the'Laughing starfish' (Towards the top end of town near the Tansas supermarket).
There is plenty to do in Icmeler. The resort offers a variety of watersports that are very reasonably priced and boat trips to Turtle Island and the mud baths &TheJeep Safari is also a very good day out is you're up for a laugh and don't mind being soaked!
The people are very friendly but some of the staff in restaurants can be mildly irritating if you want a pieceful drink. Drinks can be fairly expensive if you insist on drinking imported spirits, but the local drinks are more reasonably priced.
I would definatly go to Icmeler again. We had an excellent time and was very sad to leave.

We enjoyed our holiday in Icmeler very much and felt it was a very safe area to holiday in.
Beach ranged from sand to pebbly/gritty so you have to choose your spot.
Plenty of ATM machines in a central area – very convenient.
There was good entertainment on offer at Venice and Majestic restaurants. The best places we found for good food and service was at The Old Famous Kitchen, Taj Mahal and Venice. The best place we found for friendly staff, good sports coverage and Efes, Carlsberg and Tuborg at 3 Mil TL for a large one was the Three Bells.
We enjoyed the market which is held on Wednesday – just check sizes carefully as the labels are not that accurate and when you buy knickers in bulk like I did you could end up with some to fit a child!
The bars down near the beach don’t seem to mind you using their toilets even if you haven’t eaten/drunk there. Overall the toilets are not that good, but we did find some excellent ones on the sea front.
We went on several trips: Turtle Beach (full day) was great but there was lots of rubbish in the water which was disappointing, also included mud baths. Scuba Diving was also very good – 2 separate dives and plenty of time for swimming which my kids loved. Turkish Baths is a real experience and is a must, they really look after you and you feel great afterwards. The best trip was the full day bbq boat trip – really relaxing and we stopped off 4-5 times at quiet beaches and small bays for swimming, only 30 people were allowed on the boats so there was enough sunbeds and room in the shade for everyone. The only moan we had about the boat trips was the food, they served the cheapest, nastiest beefburgers available, even freshly cooked chicken was rubbery, and on the scuba trip we were highly surprised to be given chicken nugget cobs (again the cheapest, nastiest ones available). Our advice would be to take some of your own food to supplement the bits you might not want to eat, although the salads and pasta were very nice enough.
We were not entirely happy with the quality of water in the pools, in the Ustun apartments pool all the children who went into the water got ear infections, at the Bellvue hotel we could see doves drinking the water (not sure there was any chlorine in it) and at the Turkish baths we saw water boatmen swimming in it.
We had no problems with hassle from anyone, we found that saying that we had already eaten or would come back later was enough and everyone was very polite.
