Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

However, the resort it's self we thought was very clean - we could not fault that....(but then compared to some english streets i've seen anything has to be better!!)
The entertainment around the resort was ok but i thought catered more for the drinkers & clubbers!! although it was really pretty around the beach & town it's self, going for walks was really enjoyable especially when we came across a great little pub at the very far end of the beach just up a cliff which played more apealing, relaxing music at a comfortable level, and had a great view of Icmeler and the staff were very friendly and came without the 'hasseling'.
The beaches were very clean and water was crystal clear, with the views which were breath taking!!
Now would we visit the resort again - maybe oneday when some 'so called' hotel standards have changed, in the meantime there is a whole world to venture upon!!

The resort was o.k I do prefer Altinkum because of the beach but it wouldn't put me off coming here again the bars are fine but they need to do seperate bars from eating places.
The beach is o.k but very stoney and the sea to me was dirty compared to other places in turkey I have been.

This was our second visit to Icmeler and we will definitely be returning. We have fallen in love with it! It is lively but not manic with beautiful scenery (completely surrounded by sea, lush mountains or both). Icmeler is very pretty compared with neighbouring Marmaris with the market stalls along the canal, very pleasant beachfront bars and restaurants and the people are friendly, welcoming and very warm. We're already looking into our next visit to Icmeler next year.

Icmeler is a pleasant resort. It has a tight beach but a pleasant beachfront walkway that can take you the 5 miles to larger Marmaris if you let it, as we did. There are a few lively spots, which I would not wish to stay near, but overall it is a pleasant upmarket resort that is well coonected to Marmaris by dolmus bus.

Icmeler is such a pretty place and everyone is so friendly. I have been going for a few years now and its like going "home". Good value restaurants in nice surroundings, what more could you ask for.

Icmeler is an excellent resort for families, middle and older age couples etc. but not for teenage groups. Everything is geared towards the "Grey power" of Europe and many English, German, Dutch and now Russian people in this age group go there. Most of the younger people in Icmeler are Russian, perhaps they want to relax as well!
Entertainment is via bars and restaurants that have either waiters that dance on tables or a solo singer/musician. All restaurants have large-screen salelite TV's and at times when football is on, especially Manchester United or Arsenal, it can get loud along the bar stretch around the shops area.
The beach is very clean and is raked every evening by hotel staff.
Finally, although we would like to visit other areas of Turkey, we would definately go to Icmeler again if in that part of the country - unless of course the developers spoil the wonderful "South of France" ambience along the sea front.

Icmeler has got it right just the right mix lots of shops once a week there is a market.
Lots of places to eat and some enertainment at night but this resort can be what ever you want it to be. You can laze on the beach, go on trips, go on the local bus to Narmaris where there is a big bazaar and loads of shops.
Personly I love Icmeler with its laid back feel when you come home you really feel that you have been on holiday

We have been going to Turkey for ten years and found Icmeler the best. It has hills on three sides a real sun trap.
The people are friendly and there is entertainment if you want it also piece and quiet if you want it

Icemeler is very pretty and has lots of entertainment and restaurants. However, if you are seeking Turkish culture then don't go as it was very contrived and had very little authenticity.
Whilst the food was ok most it wasn't really very exotic or traditional and most restaurants specialised in serving burgers, steaks and pasta which wasn't quite what I had hoped for.
As a resort, it is somewhere I would go back as it is extremely beautiful, clean and once you learn which market stalls and restaurants to avoid avoid the people are generally very friendly.
