Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler is a beautiful resort with lots of things for all ages to do. It's better for families with small children as is much more quieter than Marmaris.
Buses to Marmaris are also very cheap and come every few minutes if you do want a change. i.e go to the aqua park.
You can book loads of trips in Icmeler and would definitely recommend the jeep safari.
Restaurants were all very clean and we had no problems with anything we ate which we were glad of as we had a 4 year old with us.
People are very friendly and love to chat.

This was our third visit to Icmeler although the last time 7 years ago. We found that the resort had grown dramatically and had become very commercial for our personal tastes. We found that the moment you walked anywhere you could not walk past any restaurant, travel agent, barbers infact everybody who had a foot outside the door without getting pestered and we found this draining after a while but this is our personal opinion as it does not seem to bother everybody.
On a positive note, If you do go, venture into the centre to the Love Boat, it is a bit more expensive but very classy and a bit different. Chef next door to the Love boat is also very nice. We would also recommend SET which is nearer the apartments, Titanic was pretty good, Captain Bullshit lived up to it's name, Ozzy's got a bit ridiculous with their fireworks displays and overseasoning the meat (could drink a gallon of water during and after meal).
Icmeler is a nice place with lovely beaches. There are lots of lovely boat trips which are a bargain.
All in all we enjoyed our break but will be giving Icmeler a break for some time if not forever.

Good place little and lots to do its up to you.I would like to go back see when its not so busy. The town has loads of places to eat and good food was at lots of places. I would if i was you go try the wayside restaurant lovely food and good service.

Icemeler is a friendly resort, with many Turkish people remembering you if you had visited previously. The resort provides entertainment for all sorts - lively or quieter, depending on what you want. There is no hassle from bars and restaurants as you pass by - they will invite you in, but no more. The beach is lovely with plenty of sunloungers and waiting staff - you can get on your lounger in the morning and not shift all day if you are so inclined! The sea was like a warm bath and you can walk out for quite a distance without getting out of your depth. Plenty of watersports available if you want them and although there are sellers of fruit and massages etc on the beach they do not hassle or cause problems. As you can see we love it and plan to go back, and back, and back.

The resort was fantastic for what we wanted. Quiet relaxed holiday. Everyone was friendly even when you did not want what they were selling. Most pubs close at 12 so if its a clubbing type holiday you want this is not the resort for you.

there is loads to do here. plenty of bars, shops and supermarkets. i thought the on the whole the resort was expensive meals and drinks werent much cheaper than england. everyone we met was really friendly and we didnt get to much hassel. can recommend Villa Kontes by the canal, the staff are friendly and the food lovely. most of the bars have entertainment and music, couldnt really find anywhere just to sit and relax, watch the world go by that sort of thing. beach was clean and the sea nice and clear, you need to pay for sun beds 2 for 5 ytl. can get busy down there but the hotel runs a free bus to a private beach. a good resort for families and young people

Icmeler is a great size for couples, who enjoy a good night out, without being caught out in the madness of the 18-30s clubs. A good range of decent restaurants and bars. However, entertainment is limited to Turkish men dancing badly - and not a Turkish woman in sight! Be prepared to let your woman get all the attention! Icemeler has a beautiful beach, despite being a little crowded, and there are also lots of excellent boat trips. We would also recommend the Turkish Baths and visiting the Bazaar, where you can haggle for some amazing bargins. Overall, the resort is well worth a visit.

I found the whole place to be vaery clean and the people to be very friendly. If you visited a bar one night the next night the staff would acknowledge you as you passed. The range of resturants meant there was somthing for everyone and you could eat somewhere different every night. Go to the market but be prepared to be hassled and make sure you bargan them down to a good price.
