Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

i would go back to icmeler,the people are very friendly ,plus no hassle from the locals,its layed back atmosphere,great place to go to chill out,and loads of entertainment if you look for it,we had a great time there,it was our first time there,we will be back again.

Excellent resort - plenty of good resturants and entertainment. Friendliest people - i was on crutches at the time and many restuarnts offered to drive us home.
Only criticism would be , Why do all turkish resorts sell so much fake designer goods? I like to buy real local goods on holiday and as a result bought nothing to bring home apart from some Turkish Delight

This resort is excellant it is so clean, the toilets everywhere you go are pristine. There are many local restaruants and the food is really good. The beach is fab, there is lots to do, boat trips, turkish baths, jeep safaris, villages to visit. Maramis for the brave. This was the first time I had been to turkey and was very impressed, the people are so friendly.
If you go AI try to save at least a night for the local restaurants, the service is excellant and they struggle for customers if the hotels nearby are all inclusive.
The restaurants are not allowed to hassle you, and they can be closed for 3 days if they are caught hassling *we saw at least 4 restaurants closed for this reason, so you know at least they are sticking to it. No bugs, I got a mossie bite by the canal, and saw some bees in the honey place we went to! If you are curious about turkey, please go, I am so dissapointed we had not been before as I feel we had put it down unneccsarily.
We went to a greek island last year but this is much better. Visit Icmeler soon, I will be going back as soon as I can.

Excellent resort. Smaller than Marmaris but everything they have. Classy and very enjoyable.

Icmeler had all the entertainment I wanted. OK, it is not quite Maramaris but then I am not 19 anymore. There is a good range of bars and restaurants. I recommend Harrys Steak Bar for quality food and the Romance Palace for surprisingly high quality entertainment. The Micheal Jackson lookie likie is superb. The beach is OK but is does get quite packed and the sand is, well, not that fine. I took a boat trip to Turunc and lazed on the less crowded beach there. I definitely would visit the resort again. If you are into diving as I am, then chose Divers Delight for lots of fun. Good value and they have a really good compere who bizarrely doubles as a drag act in the evenings. He is top banana and can be found in The Harmony Bar which is on the beach front.

Icmeler is fantastic. This was our first visit and will not be our last. We tried a multitude of restaurants and only had one bad meal in Heaven/Maestro bar which is joined to Hotel Efendi. The meat that was brought out to my wife was raw, she only discovered this after eating a piece of it. They did with a lot of hassle remove this uneaten meal from our bill and I now know why this restaurant is virtually empty day in day out. However, lots of nice meals to follow, Majestic, Taj Mahal, Prince Bar, Deniz Kapizi, Majestic Boys and Anatolan were all superb and very very good value. We will be returning to Icmeler in August for 2 weeks but I would never stay at Hotel Efendi again purely on the cleanlieness or lack of it. Icmeler is a wonderful place though not to be missed.

This was our first visit to Icmeler and found it to be a lovely resort for family's. We found it clean and safe with some superb food once you get used to the hassle. Near the canal there is a small market area were you can get last minute gifts or cloths, try haggling...its fun!
The beach itself was one of the best we have been on with all kinds of water sports going on. The water was warm and the beach gently sloops away making it suitable for kiddies or non swimmers.
Beach showers were available as were free sunbeds if you knew were to look. There is also a small harbour were you can go on endless trips for as little as £8pp or simply hop across to Marmaris for a change of scenery or more serious shopping.
We all we all had a great Holiday..just treat the Oylum as a Turkish 3 star and you wont go wrong.

Icmeler is a very pretty resort, lovely spotless crazy paved promenade, lined with trees and flowers, that carries on to Marmaris. Other features include two canals that meet the beach. Just enough bars and restaurants, not a bad meal all the fortnight. Service impeccable.
