Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

This was our 7th time to Icmeler and we will return again next year. the resort is very clean with plenty of entertainment at nights the beach is okay but I much preferred staying around the pool.

Icmeler itself is a fantastic place to stay - I would definitely visit again. The beach was huge and clean, and the sunbeds were cheap to rent each day and came with an umbrella, which was great for me because the weather was so hot I needed the shade in the middle of the day. Along the beach were lots of hotels and places you could get lunch, so you didn't have far to walk if you got hungry.
The sea was calm and warm and very clean. There were areas sectioned off for swimmers so the boats and water taxis nearby weren't a problem. It was also very quiet and relaxing, especially with the beautiful scenery all around you.
The restaurants and bars were great, and the food in particular was of an excellent standard. We would particularly recommend Majestics, which is on the canal, because the food and service were excellent and the staff made a huge effort to make you feel welcome at their restaurant. The food was cheap too, and there were some excellent offers on set menus.
There are bars to suit everyone's tastes in Icmeler - our favourite was the Mitos Bar because it had a very relaxed and chilled out atmosphere (also along the canal).
Overall, the resort was brilliant - everything you could hope for from a holiday destination if you want to relax, enjoy fantastic weather and eat great food!

Hassled for money everywhere we went. The overwhelming majority of Turkish there see the holidaymakers as a walking wallet. And when you refuse to spend money in their bar/restaurant/boat trip/turkish nite/disco/bag shop/shoe shop/gold shop/grape vending business on the beach/deck chair business/you name it....then some of them get abusive and aggressive. I, personally, must have had cross words with twenty or so of these 'proprietors' during the two weeks. Even if you tried to ignore them they'd shout after you and some would call us rude for not acknowledging them. On top of this, the open-air bars were acting like clubs and the boom-boom music was so loud that the staff there will most definitely have ear damage before long. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that one bar would turn its music volume up to drown out the next bar only for that bar to retaliate. The result is a cacophony of bass noise. In addition to this, the staff were 'dancing' on tables as people were eating. We don't consider Icmeler a place of relaxation and we will never go back there again.

The resort of Icmeler is beyond clean, it is immaculate, we went on 27th August 07, it was very, very hot......was expecting to get bitten by mosquitos, especially as we slept with the doors on the balcony open..........the only time I got bit was when we visited the market. They actually go round in the night with a vehicle and spray to keep them down.
The locals are very friendly, though some do try and hassle you into going into their bars/cafes, could be that we were an all female party!!! We found that a simple "thanks but I've eaten" or "sorry, will try and come back another time" worked wonders.
I would recommend a boat trip, we got one all inclusive for £10.00, that included being picked up from the hotel, on the boat all day, dinner and drinks ( lager,wine,soft drinks for kids) and at the end of the day they took us back to hotel......best tenner I ever spent!!!!
Dreamboys is also a lovely place to visit, they have entertainment on every night and go out of their way to make you feel welcome...........one of the guys,Yayaha, does magic with a tray of drinks.............you have to see it to believe it.
I cannot comment on the beach 'cos I didn't really see it, when we went is was that hot during the day that we just had a little stroll and settled at the pool during the afternoon.
Cannot wait to go back there, best holiday ever......lovely place, lovely people, don't want to go anywhere else.

Also, Icmeler was such a beautiful place and the hotel was located in the centre of it which was brilliant because the beach was literally just down the road and had many sunbeds which was great. There were many bars and restaurants about!..so if you wasn't all inclusive..it was very easy to get food out.
Also, it was very easy to get a short bus ride into Marmaris which was full of excellent clubs and even more shops!!
I will definately be stayin at the Saral in Icmeler again!!, It was an amazing holiday!!!

the resort was great there was plenty to do and see. The music does stop and midnight in all the bars and the police are constantly round checking but you can sit and drink til all hours and i found thats when we had the best laughs getting to know the locals. If you want music the Karaoke bar down at the beach plays music after midnight...they have a lookout guy! ha! but apart from that if you want music, go to a club. If your booking for any of the excursions then book with someone along the beach, not your reps, its much cheaper. would recomend the mud baths!

I love Icmeler and would recommend it to anyone .My Husband and the children and I have been here 5 times and would go back tomorrow the locals are so freindly and can't do enough for you
