Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

the beach nd the shops were about 20mins away or you could get the bus down but i like the walk down there we didnt goto the turkish night becasue we have been to turkey the last 6 years so we have seen it but we gottold by ppl it was a gd night soi think if i go back there next year i will try it i wood defo go back to the bahar again nd i told loads of ppl about it whois comin with us next year there is 23 ppl comin with us next year we r all stayin in the bahar cos it was mint

the resort was very clean and the entertainment in all the bars and restaurants were very good would go back again maybe next year

Resort is rubbish.
Over the top bawdy neon signs of a night.
day and night pestering from people.
All shops are selling goods that are really poor quality.
anyone thinking they are going to get a bargain when you are there are sadly mistaken.That boat left long ago from this place.
Lacoste shirts selling for 4 for a tenner signs everwhere.
Fake tobacco, jeans, t-shirts, perfume watches etc everywhere and all rubbish.
Totally disgusted by the place, the people, the hotel , the beach ,the resort .
NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
Do yourself a favour, stay at home and hire a sunbed it will save you a fortune.

Loved this place, it is an amazing holiday to experience and the people are all so friendly. I could sit and write a book about Turkey it is so great, I just love the place and hope to be back soon. It was my second time coming over this summer and i really enjoyed it! The resturants are all so entertaining and i would recomend Friend's Bar, the people are so friendly and Ronaldo is my holiday hunny! The appartments were nice and clean and the view was so nice. I miss them all so much and hope to see them all again and keep in contact! Hopefully in the future come out for longer and hope to own my own villa!

turkey is a lovely clean country we did a few boat trips this year and every place we went to was beautiful some great beaches lovelot restaurants our favorite was majestic crest English breakfast for just one English pound entertainment at majestic is outstanding we booked a table for twelve nights the also do free mini bus service will pick you up from were you are staying and drop you back again.

The resort of Icmeler is excellent value for money.
The two of us had one of the best holidays that we have had as a couple in over ten years.
We also visited the nearby village of Turunc, which is a great beach area, and a great boat trip day out.
The result of the fortnight was finding Fess Bar, which had a resident live music group - the only different entertainment that wasn't just aimed at tourists. As a semi pro musician, this was manna from heaven.
I also played drums and sang with them, a quality night for anyone who enjoys live music ! I've even posted the drummer some new sticks as his had seen better days.
So, back to normal touristy things - we had a boat trip - an excellent 5 bays full day trip - good value for money and very well organised by one of the front men from the Majestic Restaurant.
The days and nights were right up to expectations and the resort gave us everything that we wanted from the holiday!
Will be back next year, just not to the same hotel as this year !

This is the second time that we have been to Icmelar and would go back again, but on a self catering basis as we feel that having had two bad hotels in Icmelar we will look after ourselves! The resort is kept reasonably clean - especially as there is a lot of rubbish thrown over the day. I walked early in the morning and saw the lorries collecting the rubbish and bar staff cleaning outside - washing down the pavements.
There is plenty to do in the resort - and this season they are enforcing the no hassle rule which meant that some bars were closed for nights after being caught hassling the tourists. This means that you can walk around and not fear being dragged in as has happend in past. In particular we enjoyed the Stella Show (Drag Artist from Blackpool). Please dont go if you are offended by swearing. He/she is great entertainment and the bar was packed each night. The bar is the Harmony bar. You do not pay for the entertainment - so the drinks are a bit more pricey. Also try the Red Lion - it is great fun and they put on a special do for us when they knew it was our wedding anniversary - thanks boys. We also found a little bar called Tin Tin - situated near the Turkish Bath - great place run by two brothers. Made us feel really welcome - even making us up rolls to take to the airport - thanks lads!!
If you are looking for jewellery we can recommend Unit who owns Erciyes Shop - situated where all the jewellery shops are. We have gone to him for the last 2 years and he has made us what we wanted for a reasonable price and have no hesitation in sending anyone to see him.

loverly resort very clean ,very friendly and 100,s of resturants to choose from we never had a bad meal ,full english £1 steak £7 nice efes beer ,some places give more hassle than others .the steak house(the anatollian) just on the corner from the palm gardens is excellent . Great market on a wed get there early we also did a jeep trip from one of the local companies which was fab ,and we took a boat trip though first chioce which was also good (esp for kids as kids reps were on board) altogether we had a fab holiday but be warned in august it is HOT HOT HOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was our 7th time to Icmeler and we will return again next year. the resort is very clean with plenty of entertainment at nights the beach is okay but I much preferred staying around the pool.
