Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

icmeler is still good 9 times now not as busy as a few years ago,prices are same in most bars/resturants only a few dearer,entertainment around resort still the same ie micheal jackson etc !!! bar staff still dancing on the bar and trying to out do other bars,iilyas from the elif still dances with fishbowl on his head with sparklers everytime some one orders a cocktail (good if you never seen it before go have a cocktail to see)

We went to Icemeler as it is a quieter and pretty resort, with plenty of places to visit and restaurants to eat. We met many lovely people in the town, whom we hope to keep in touch with.

just returned from our nineth visit and still love icmeler resort is still clean and tidy the entertainment is good around the different bars with them trying to outdo rival bars which adds to the atmosphere.the beach is very clean and full with sunbeds but some do charge but if you find some linked too bars you visit you hardly pay then. will be going back for our tenth time.

Great place to visit everybody really nice.We used INSU travel for our excurtions, very prompt and resonable cost.Good places to eat are Mandolin,Maestro,and Chef.Lazy days boat trips great value for money,and the wednesday market is an experience in itself,don't forget your Tenners.We asked a waiter about people being hassled as reported by people previously he said the goverment are clamping down on this by shutting Bars that hassle people,a polite maybe later is usually met with a "enjoy your Holiday" or similar

The resort of Icmeler is a lovely resort it is very clean, there are loads of restaurants to choose from. There are so nice little shops along the canal area, which is a nice little walk (this is where the Majestic is).
The beach was ok but we do prefer the pools anyway, it was quite a shingly beach and we only visited it once.
We ate at the Romance (also good entertainment), Majestic (also good entertainment), Friends (also good entertainment), Golden Moon (no entertainment) and Lighthouse (no entertainment) which were all very good, we particularly liked the Lighthouse. Bearing in mind that there was 17 of us all eating different things we all enjoyed these restaurants very much.
On the other hand, 7 of us ate out one night at the Robin Hood just round the corner from the hotel and none of us had a good meal there, the worst of it being uncooked chicken wings ! We complained and got a reduction on the bill and they assured us that they had not had another complaint in 4 years, but walking past it one other night we heard another party complaining ! I would definately not visit this restaurant again. Also we did visit the Mandolin but the guy completely messed up the drinks order - wrong drinks and flat cokes, that we decided not to risk dinner there and left.
We went to the Pop In one night for a drink, the entertainment was good there.
Shopping in Icmeler is definately an experience - loads of shops selling designer stuff at bargain prices, some real bargains to be had, by the end of the two weeks we had mastered the art of bartering. Went to the market in Icmeler but that annoyed me too much hassling, some of the others didnt mind it though.
Also the police do warn the restaurant staff about too much hassling people, and if they persist in hassling they warn them, then shut them down for few days, if they do it again they shut them for a week and if they do it again they have to shut for the season. As we left there were 15 restaurants due to shut next day for hassling but dont worry there are over 200 to choose from !
Overall the resort is friendly, clean and i would say perfect for families or couples, groups of young lads and girls should go to Marmaris.

excellent resort very popular now and many should stay there and try the excellent facilities there is to offer great resturants(villa contes), excellent hotels (miray hotel).. bars and clubs,clean beaches and mostly the people ,a lot to do, trips, excursions and fun days for all the family! our 2nd time round and we are going again for sure.....

We opted for Icmeler over Marmaris since we prefer smaller resorts, and it fitted the bill perfectly. The resort is clean and has a welcoming feel to it. Once you get used to every business owner trying to tempt you with his wares, services, etc you feel it is a very welcoming place in the main. It is busier nearer the bach where all the bright lights, bars, etc are, but even just a short distance back from there you find some quieter restaurants, etc if you like that sort of thing. The entertainment takes place mainly between 10pm-midnight, after which it either stops, or the volumen turned down considerably. There is something for everyone, including 2 nightclubs for the young at heart. The beach looks great, but is man made from coarse crushed coral, rock, etc, and while the Agean sea is great to swim in, kids may find it a bit harsh on the feet as ours did, unless they wear footwear of some sort. Great opportunity to haggle for goods, either at the stalls by the canal, or at the weekly market in Icmeler. I even discovered that the Marmaris Palace, along the path between Icemeler and Marmaris, has its own beach fron ice rink!! There is something for everyone in Icmeler, and is very much a family resort

The resort was generally clean and packed with entertainment, our 2 teenage sons were in heaven with all the bar entertainment. Plenty of sunloungers on beach and access to watersports. Would definitely visit again.

The resort itself looks beautifull but the local restrateurs are a pest. Apparantly there was a crackdown on street vendors and restraunt owners hassling people on the street. This lasted a couple of months and from what we can gather from other visitors to the area it is now as bad as before. The beaches are awash with people hassling you to buy everything from water, beer, fruit, ice cream and even fake sportswear! Sometimes the pitching for business actualy gets a bit intimidating with folks grabbing you and ushering you into their shop/ stall/bar. It's a shame as it is a visually very stunning setting that a lot could be made of it. The boat trips and excursions are very good but once again the vendors are an absolute nuisance. You cannot go for a quiet evening stroll without someone loudly trying to make you buy something.
