The hotel is clean and spacious and of a high standard.

Cooking facilities are not great however but adequate with a 2 ring hob and a microwave.

Air conditioning works perfectly and the maids are very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and friendly staff but thats about all I can say in all honesty.

This resort is EXTREMELY loud and from 12noon to 12 midnight you will hear well over the top loud club music. If you can relax on that then you'll enjoy but I assure you we couldn't. There's no escape if you have a poolside view apartment either. We hired a TV and the music level at 12noon was such that it was well above the volume of it, making it useless. The hotel opposite competes on the noise level and this starts a volume war that ends up where you have to shout to speak to your partner.

Entertainment was dire to say the least. There is a resident scouser man and woman team that truly feel that Brits love nothing more than bingo and open the box (Oh and there's karaoke too for the adventurous) and this forced us out. They even included this on their Turkish night which we walked out on in disbelief.

Food is below average and you'd be best advised eating out amongst the many bars and restaurants around the local area.

We would never go back to Excellsor as we found the whole experience far from relaxing (we went for 2 weeks and couldn't wait to get home).

You'll find the waiters pleasant but very pushy. We refused to eat or take part in their so called entertainment in the end as it was boring, repetitive and below standard and boy did they keep pulling us up on it, sometimes even keeping an eye on where we was going. It was very intimidating.

Location wise is not bad with dolmus just outside the resort to Marmaris central.

If you like club culture (by that I mean loud music, all day and night around the pool) you'll love it but for our family it was too much and forced us out each day to find quieter hotels that happily accepted us and our money.

If you haven't booked yet at Excellsor I would advise looking for many of the other excellent hotels in the area and avoid this at all costs.

We spoke to many around the poolside and there was not many happy with either the food, loud music or entertainment.

It's a shame as the place could be fantastic and very special.

We've been to marmaris 7 times over the last 2 and a half years, we only go because we have very close friends living there, unfortunately our tour operator we usually travel with cancelled their program so we changed over.

We prefer quiet and relaxed atmosphere boy did we get it wrong. On arrival at 12.00 am lots of screaming and shouting from bar/restaurant area, discovered we had two rooms directly beside same ,but us being easy going decided to go with the flow and open ourselves to a new experience of a larger complex seens as was alot of things to entertain our kids.

First week went ok ish even though one particular member of the entertainment team was a complete pain and the entertainment about as exciting as watching paint dry. Most of the time you were coerced into taking part in the pool games so that you would get some peace. Beware of Ozzy things are decidedly dodgy with him.

The food was ok, the waiters, Yilmaz, Yusef and Ahmet are about the only thing going for it. The bar staff sneaky, insulting and intimidating.

The other part of the complex is a hotel and seemed to have alot more going for it. Tom the manager over the two seems to concentrate more on that side and jnr seems to run itself, even the rep Emma rarely is seen in jnr side, so if you have any problems you must go next door.

Staff are in the habit of helping themselves to your food and cigarettes.

Overall would never stay there again, but love marmaris so much that I would always go back.Irish visitors beware of Excelsior jnr.

Just returned home 9/6 and wish we back there already.

The hotel and staff were fantastic especially the bar staff (jack, billy & ahmed) If you had a problem then Tom (bar manager) would sort it out no fuss at all.

We stayed self catering in the junior apartments for one week and found it to be of an excellent standard.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and found it spacious.

It was cleaned daily and the maids laid the towels in different patterns everyday.

Food and drink at the pool bar reasonably priced and prompt service from all the staff. All staff were extremely friendly and fun, especially Yusuf, Dilek, Jack, Jesus & Baha (beware of his mad laugh!!)
Ask them to put the 'Tequila Boom Boom' song on if you want a good laugh and to see them in action!

Reception are very helpful. When we arrived at 6am and needed extra bedding they arranged it and made up extra beds within 5 minutes. Later in the week we found our corkscrew was broken, and within 5 minutes of reporting it a replacement was provided. Cannot fault their service.

We went to the BBQ night on the Wednesday and the staff were very attentive again! The entertainment was good and there was a belly dancer, break dancing, Michael Jackson tribute act (and if you werent interested in that, the footy was on the big screen!)

We are looking to book for next summer for two weeks instead of one as you need longer to fit everything in!

We went self-catering but ate from the pool bar. The food was brilliant in next door and the waiters weren't very friendly.

Entertainment was better next door in club not junior.

The hotel was clean the maids did a good job of cleaning

Very clean apartments,large rooms free air con which in the heat of August is a must.

All the staff very friendly,tried turkish bath in hotel ended up having sauna bath full body massage Indian head masage and facial cost

The club Excelsior was a lovely place everyone was so friendly. My son is has a disability and got lost on our first night and I must say that all the staff were very helpful Katie and Lisa arranged for staff to go and look for him. He was found 2 hrs later safe and sound but it was great that around 10 people were helping to find him.

The pool was ok but kids did get small blisters on the feet from the bottom of the pool.

The rooms are cleaned daily and the maids are helpful and leave flowers on the beds.

The bar staff there are great and the food is great and there plenty of it a great waiter there was Ferdi he was so friendly and helpful but not in your face. They have a tom system which we found good as you did not need to carry money around with you whilst by the pool, you could use this to buy drinks, food, ice cream candy floss etc.
The hotel has a jnr one at the side off it and you can use the facilities in both which was good

My only faults with the hotels is the play area as kids were allowed to do what they wanted and made loads of noise till 1am and later and the kids were also running around the hotel banging the doors screaming etc.. It is a very noisy hotel at night the shows and stuff were ok too
we enjoyed our holiday and the weather was brill so hot!!!
