well we are just back from pegasus palace and we are gutted to be home that is.like most we had read the reviews and was worried.

This hotel is spotless the staff work all day and all night long.Swimming pools where being cleaned at midnight and one in the morning.

We went on the jeep safari which was brillant also the mud baths and the galet cruise which was excellent they really let you see the country and the beauty of it also the people.

Food was good always found something kids loved it.some people were moaning but lets face it why go to a foreign country to eat britsh food.

We should take a leaf out of the turks book all there food is fresh and grown on the land not froze and filled with additives and colourings.

We stayed for 2 weeks the first week the waiters was whisking your plates away and there was enough staff to cope with all the bars abd snack bars.On the second week it got a lot busier I you could really see the difference. Cracks started to show in the resturant if you went to dinner after seven it was difficult to get a table then when you did find one you had to be waited to be cleaned which was a bit of a pain.

Swimming pools were brilliant went to a different one everyday. Sun loungers in the first week was everwhere but by the second week there was a little struggle to get one although we did always manage.

Selfish people were taking the sunbed cushions back to there room with them so no one else could get a look in some people where even taking the sunbeds back with them how bad is that.

Towels where not a problem as you get towel cards although the system they are using could be a lot better. On our last day the only day we really needed towels because ours were packed in reception they did not have any left which was a pain but again a lot of people were taking them back to the rooms aswell.

We did the trip to marmaris for the shopping but i did prefer the local market you got just the same as in Marmaris.

Me and my oldest son got bitten to death although my little one and husband did not.We went through 2 bottles of mozzie spray so that is a must as all the entertainment is outside.

We were moved to the Palace as the Tropical wasn't opening until July.

A bit apprehensive as we had seen some bad reports, but, we were pleasenetly surprised. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily, the food was excellent although the snack bars were getting very busy and the chefs there were under a lot of pressure to serve quickly.

Only 20 mins from the closest village which could easily be walked to and the bus back. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient although were very busy towards the end of our stay.

The entertainment was good the kidss enjoyed it didn't see much of the late stuff as we had babies with us but we could here it and it sounded like everyone was enjoying themselves. The team were professionals.

Yes we would return but not in high season.

Well what can I say, this is a totally different hotel to what people experienced in 2005.

We had such a fantastic time that I've just been on to Eclipse's website to price up for September.

Food - All fantastic and such a brilliant selection to choose from. I would be surprised if even the most fussy eater couldn't find something to eat. Breakfast consisted of a wide selection of eggs, boiled, scrambled, the most delicious fresh omelettes and of course fried. Then there was sausages (turkish) occassionally turkish bacon (which is delicious), sauteed mushrooms, beans and some kind of potatoe. Also freshly made pancakes, all sorts of breads, pastries and croissants. A selection of fresh fruit and yoghurts for the more health concious out there. Toast and Jam.

Lunch - Available from both the main restaurant and the snack bars. If eating in the main restaurant there is a large selection of salads but also hot meals, similar to what would be served in the evening only not with such a huge choice. If eating from the snack bar you could have fresh pizza (delicious), jacket potatoes, tuna melts, chips, burgers, hot dogs, salads, fruit. A good choice but tends to get quite busy.

Dinner - The most amazing selection I've ever seen. Every kind of meat you could imagine and a huge salad bar and the BEST puddings in the world. There is also a childrens buffet and for those of you with little babies there is a blender in the restaurant and microwave if you would prefer to take some jars and heat them up yourself. A couple of nights were speciality nights, such as Turkish, Mexican or Seafood and the food on these nights, but as always, was out of this world. We didn't feel a need to use the themed restaurants as we enjoyed the choice available in the main restaurant. I can't complain about the food at all, although I didn't hear one couple complain that they weren't happy with the lack of "ENGLISH FOOD" . It took me all my strength not to go slap them and remind them they were in Turkey.

I even approached the Executive Head Chef one night and passed on my compliments as I was so happy with the standard of food offered.

Pools - gorgeous pools. We tended to stay by the baby pool next to the kids club as it was convenient for dropping our little one in there while we remained nearby. The baby pool has two slides and is ideal for those under five. There is a wall built into the pool which was quite worrying as the kids could disappear behind it and hide. They had gate it off at the sides but the kids were still climbing through the "windows" in the wall. Quite a few kids were cutting their feet on the tiles climbing through the wall, but after a complaint from a friend bars had been put up to stop this happening. The remainder of the pools are enormous and gorgeous, but in my second week they were getting very busy and I wouldn't like to be trying to get a sun lounger in peak season!

Kids Club - The staff are fantastic and they work so hard to keep your kids entertained. The schedule is done weekly so if you have booked for two weeks your kids will do the same things again in their second week. My son is just coming up for four and didn't mind this at all but it may bother some older kids. There are five sessions a day for 1 1/2 hours each, with the night time session 9pm to 11pm being 2 hours. I think we had to pay

We originally booked to stay at the Pegasus Tropical but 4 months after we booked through a First Choice Travel Agent we received a letter to say the room we had selected was not available, but we were reasurred that the facilites were the same at both hotels therefore we did not mind.

One month before we were due to go we had another letter tosay due to the nesting turtles on the beach the watersports would not be available, which did not bother us either, however we then received a letter to say that the tropical would not be opening until mid July 06 and so the facilites would not be open to use. We then received a further letter to say there was a building site next to the hotel but would not affect us.

However our holiday was very enjoyable and the Palace is first class. The hotel is spotless everywhere and our room which was a jacuzzi suite was very spacious our two boys slept on the pull out sofa bed and we had the king size bed in the seperate bedroom.

The food was very good however they seem to use the same spices on every type of meat and at the end of our first week we were struggling a bit for variety.

The location was in the middle of nowhere however the nearest village was a 20 min walk away. The only disappointing aspect for us was the beach we understand the turtles have to nest somewhere but the tour operator must have been aware what season this takes place each year.the hotel staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble.

The entertainment was fantastic there is an ampitheatre where they hold all evenind entertainment from kids discos to top acts they fly in each week, the hotel has its own production team that all sing as well as interact and amuse the kids.

We found the hotel much better then we were expecting as we booked after the hotel appeared on the Holiday Uncovered programe we would certainly visit again and would recommend it,but I would advise future travellers to take an anti mosquito repellent before travelling and while you are there, as even though we went mid May the mosquitos are out in there hundreds and our souviner of Turkey is bites all over our legs!

We booked to go to the Pegasos Palace only a couple of months before daparture. We were quite impressed with the pictures in the brochure, but were even more impressed on arrival as the hotel outdid our expectations.

We had read some of the reviews on the website before departure and had received quite a mixed message from people, some saying it was their holiday from hell and others saying that they had already booked to go again, so we weren't really sure what to expect!

The hotel was kept spotlessly clean and we could not fault the helpfullness of the staff, even down to a mobile phone being misplaced, they were constantly in touch with us until the matter was cleared up (a matter of one of our children hiding it!!).

The food was excellent, even our children (5 & 2) enjoyed it and there was no end of choice.

We enjoyed our holiday so much that we have already booked our holiday for next year, including our wedding!

Have just returned from two weeks at Pegasos and had absolutley brilliant time.

I visted Pegasos last year with my young son for a week, though there were clearly some teething troubles I felt it was worth giving a second try and am very glad we did, this year we stayed for a fortnight and brought grandma along too.

The hotel is now being managed by Iberostar who seem to have a far better idea of what people expect from a holiday. All hotel staff were very well trained, always pleasant and courteous.

Food is a huge improvement on last year it would give many of the big five star Caribbean resorts a run for their money. A little more vegetarian choice would be good, but that goes for every restaurant I've ever been too.
Kids Clubs were much better organised with you simply dropping off at the session and handing in your card to say where you were, last year the booking in business was a real pain, though not sure how it will work in high season?

The overall hotel cleanliness was excellent though we did have a few problems with getting our room cleaned in that one day the cleaner turned up at 7pm when we were in the middle of getting ready to go out and another day they forgot us entirely.

E3 entertainment team were really good, there was a nicely varied programme with different bars meeting all tastes, a huge screen has now been erected at the Tropical for the World cup.

For me the location had as many pro's as con's. This hotel is out of the way, though it does mean that on the days you just want to relax by the pool and do the kids clubs etc., you can quite easily. We walked into Sarigerme a few times, the Sunday market is worth a visit. We also took a few excursions with Sarigerme Tours who are based just at the bottom of the high street.

The service we recieved from them was excellent, the guide on each trip was Mustafa who was very pleasant and informative. This certainly helped us to see a bit more of Turkish life and get a beter understanding of the culture. These trips were also far cheaper than with First Choice, I doubt we'd have got such inofrmative and intersting days out with First Choice based on what other peopple were saying about them.

My biggest complaint would have to relate to the overzealous security at the complex. If you got a taxi back to the hotel it would be stopped at the gates and you would have to show your wristbands in order that you could get in, we met a few people who the security guards had made walk.

Also when going and coming from the trips we were picked up at the gate not the hotel door so as to stop other tour companies coming on to the complex. I beleive in freedom of choice and will buy my excursions from whom I feel most happy and getting the best alround value from, it did have the feeling of once you enter the complex your mind is taken from you also.

We will defintley go back to Pegasos.

We have just returned fro a two week stay at the Iberostar Palace.

The hotel, rooms and grounds were spotlessly clean. The bins were constanly emptied and I never saw one cigarette end on the floor around the villige. The only thing which was a bit of a problem for us was that our room was not cleaned until 4.30pm/5.00pm everyday which was a pain as tthis is the time my kids have their afternoon nap.

I cannot fault the hotel food. Most of the food was freshly prepared in front of you and there was always plently to chose from. The best night was Sunday which is a Turkish night. They have Kebabs etc and people playing Turkish Music whilst you eat. The Turkish night continues at the pool bar where they have traditional Turkish dancing and camel rides. They have 3 specialist resturants of which you can use each one once on your saty. We tried the Asian and the Turkish both which were really nice. The deserts in the resturants were to die for!

The hotel is a bit in the middle of know where but we knew this before booking. Sarigerme is about a 20 min walk frpom the hotel. We went on Sunday which is when the market is held. I was talking to one of the reps who said that all the staff from the hotel got to the clubs in Sarigerme and the best nights are Thursday and Friday. The night club in the hotel is always empty!

The hotel staff were always friendly. We managed to get talking to some of them and we were getting free drinks after the AI had finished.

The entertainment team tried very hard. The were all very good singers, Dan and Claire especially. They had a hypnotist which was the best night of the holiday and a magician. They bring in two UK acts per week. I do feel that the entertainment could have been better as there was too much singing and not enough variety. The pantomime held by the E3 team was very amusing. There was always something to do if you wanted it!

The kids clubs and creche were great and there was no problem getting in and they were always available. If your kids attend the chocolate party make sure you take wet wipes as they have to lay on the floor and get their faces painted with chocolate. Unlike the entertainment programme the kids club programme changes weekly, so if your staying for two weeks the kids will be doing the same the second week as the first.

The mosquitos were bad and even if you have repelent they still bite you. we had Mozzie bands, Repelent Wipes, Sprays, Plugs etc and still got bit. Make sure you have a good antihistamine cream. We did not let it ruin our holiday.

At the begining of our stay we had a Turkish Bath and massage in the hotel. I wont say too much as it will ruin the experience but this is a must for everyone. My Husband had a Turkish shave in the hair dressers in the hotel, again a must during any stay.

We stayed here on our honeymoon, and found it to be very relaxing, the pools are fantastic, tropical could have been better if the slides went into a seperate pool, but otherwise great, our room was a jacuzzi suite and was huge, air conditioning was great.

There was loads of entertainment on in the evenings ,in fact we missed stuff because there was not enough information on about what was on!!!staff were very freindly and always smiling, kids running riot in the ampitheaters of an evening was a pain as the parents were drinking and didnt seem botherered with what there kids were doing, evem when shows were on,was sad to admit we were english some nights.

The food was ok. We didnt go hungry ,but I always had to reheat my food as I like it hot,but there was plenty to choose from.

The beach was bad,you could not swim in the sea as there was a strong current also there was a very deep dip after you walked a few steps and no signs saying this, also around the pools is very dangourous as when the tiles are wet they are very slippery,I fell over on it coming back from the bar and I was walking slowly so as not to slip!!!

They need geeen plastic slip stuff all around the pools....I would go back prob in a few years time, scenery was spectacular as mountains all around..and plenty of pool to spend day by.

Just returned on the 10th October after a very enjoyable week at the Pegasos Palace. Let me say first for anyone reading reviews not to look back at ones that were posted before mid September, as they do not paint a true picture of how the complex is now.
The hotel is 100% finished! The complex is beautiful, extensive gardens full of colourful flowers and tropical plants, surrounding swimming pools (17-ish) that are nothing short of stunning!

There are more than enough sunbeds there and we could get them at any time of the day. Don't bother taking your own pool towels as free towels are available every day.

Waterslides are just fab, there are ones to suit kiddies as little as 12 months, right up to the larger "flume" type slides (3 at the Palace, 3 at the Tropical). The pools are cleaned meticulously every evening, and like the rest of the complex, are spotless.

The reps at the kids club deserve a medal for the hours they work, always with a smile on their face. The operate 5 sessions a day, from 10:00am till 11:00pm, my son loved going, and it gave us a couple couple of hours to ourselves.

Food- I really don't see why some people have a problem with this- The buffet restaurant has a choice of at least 6 main courses,a kids buffet, and then freshly grilled chicken, kebabs, pork, plus a massive salad bar, soup and a huge range of delicious desserts. The snack bar in the day features your usual burgers, hot dogs etc, plus an outdoor stone pizza oven, where a chef prepares pizza dough from scratch, and places whatever toppings you ask for- ready in 10 mins- absolutely delicious! We only tried the Indian speciality- it's a set menu and its not bad, but we preferred the main buffet to be honest- I challenge anyone to not find something they like!

Entertainment is OK- I'm fine with just having a drink at a bar, we did do "mini disco" every night as my 2 year old loved it. Main shows were so-so, but they fly UK entertainers in every week or so to keep things fresh- saw some excellent vocalists! There will be something to suit most people. Beach party is great on a Thursday night, laser show a big stage with singers and a disco, all inclusive bar and jacket spuds, sauages etc. It's free of charge and goes on till 1am, its a nice change.

Rooms are great, although don't book a sea view as these rooms overlook marshland, although the sea is in the distance. Ask for a pool/garden view room instead- these have much nicer views.

Sarigerme is a nice little place, just one street with a selection of bars and restaurants, go on market day to get all your fake gear- surprisingly good copies, and barter with them, you can get some absolute bargains!

To sum up- a great complex for families, your kids will love it, good food, beautiful surroundings- what more is there. We're going to book for next year.Enjoy yourselves, you will love it!
