We travelled to the PP not really knowing what to expect after reading a real mixed bag of reviews.
At one stage my wife had become so worried about the reviews on here that we considered cancelling but I am so glad we did'nt. We had a fab time, met some great people and I wish I was back there now !

We arrived mid evening and the check in was very quick, was in room within 10 mins of arriving.

Room was superb, clean, spacious and nicely fitted out.

Facilities are 1st class, swimming pools are magnificent, plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas. Hotel grounds really pretty. Waterslides are a must, especially the 2 at the tropical.

Entertainemnt was good, plenty going on during the day, organised activities such as French Bowls, Water Polo, Volleyball, Water Volleyball, Pool Games, Quizes etc. During the evening at the ampitheatre there was a mini disco 8:15pm-9pm followed by a show of some kind, We had a hypnotist one night, a comedian, a Freddie Mercury tribute act, various singers and shows put on by the animation teams. If these were not your bag then there was a duo singing middle of the road songs at the pool bar or over at the Tropical Beach Bar there was Karaoke, Race nights and quiz nights. There is also a beach party on Thursdays with fireworks and a foam machine which most seemed to enjoy.

Hotel staff are very friendly, especially the Turkish animation team, Mr Muscle and Eran were great fun and was always on the end of being shoved in the pool.
I found that the FC team was not as friendly, most would walk straight past you and not even aknowledge you.

The kids club put on a massive amount of sessions but lacked quality. The events are advertised such as 'Clown Academy - Learn circus skills' - My girls came out very dissapointed after being given a picture of a clown to colour in ??

'Mini Olympics' - I watched my little girl in this one as it sounded great, only to see the kids play 1 game of tag then back inside for.....more colouring in !! Is that a new olympic event I wonder ?

'Bouncing Bunnies - Facepainting & Trampolening' - My little un came out with her face painted but not a trampolene in sight.

My kids were rather disappointed and after a while stopped wanting to go. It just didnt do what it said on the tin !!!

Moving on to the food, a real bone of contention which I was dreading. We even took a lot of spending money expecting to have to eat out, however we all found the food good quailty, plenty of choice and hot (providing nobody left the lids up!)

The AI drinks are limited to brandy, vodka, raki, gin wine and beer but that did not bother me too much. Soft drinks were coke, fanta and sprite and a real bad drink called Tang which has so many E numbers it is banned in England !!

The only slight negative is the beach. Its not great to say the least and unfortunatley it will never be unless the Turkish Enviromental Agency change their mind and allow Pegasos group/FC to develop it and lay some decent sand. This does looks unlikely though.

All in all we had a cracking holiday, this place could be the bees knees with just a few minor tweeks, some say its Butlins abroad but it is no different to any other self contained All Inclusive resort.

It was well & truly worth the money we paid.

We stayed at the Pegasos Tropical between 17th October and 1st November. We were very nervous about going because of previous reports but we had a fantastic time.

The pools are great and lots of them although they are very cold at this time of year! and there are different slides to suit all age groups. Pool areas are kept very clean and the rest of the hotel for that matter.

The food I thought was going to be awful but was very surprised because it was very nice. The croissants at breakfast I can highly recommend. Sometimes the food would not be red hot but only when the lids had not been replaced. Some of my children are a bit fussy but even they always found something they liked.

The kids clubs were good but not enough staff to run them so every night a lot of kids got turned away, i don't think this happens in the summer months though!

We had been told we could have interconnecting rooms but when we arrived we were told they only have them at the palace but they did make sure we had rooms next door to each other. The rooms are very nice and the maids do a brilliant job and are very friendly. We often left valuables lying around and they were still there when we got back.

Most of the evening entertainment is outside and it does get a bit chilly in October, I think they need more seating areas inside and maybe a bar in the reception area so you don't have to keep carrying drinks upstairs.

The bar staff were very friendly and always let my husband get drinks for all of us so the kids didn't have to go with him all the time.

We did go to the beach a few times, it could do with tidying up a bit but it was ok.

The free ice creams you get at the beach bar are very nice and you can have as many as you want, my kids loved them.

We never saw any gangs of teenagers roaming about but there were quite a few young children wondering about on their own and playing in the lift some I would say as young as four!

A couple of days before we were due to come home myself and two of my daughters caught a nasty stomach bug but it was definitely nothing to do with the food as one of my daughters is only 10 months old and only ate jars we took with us. Also all the other kids have had it since returning home.

On the whole we had a great holiday and would definitely go back.

Like everyone else we had heard of the bad reports about Pegasos village.

We were a wee bit concerned but as it turned out there was nothing to worry about at all. the whole complex is immaculate and the gardens even though they are newly planted are stunning, it would be worth a look when they have matured.

The weather couldn't have been better and the location of our suite was perfect, right next to a little oasis of two quiet area pools where a lot of couples sunbathed. true the children are noisy at nights but what can you expect it's their holiday as well.

The poor adult entertainment made for a long night sometimes but along with sometimes warm food and the mozzies these were my only complaints. not that the food was poor i thought there was plenty of choice and always something that you could eat and enjoy.

The little village of Sarigerme was a nice ten minutes stroll and the dolmus to Ortaca picked you up at the hotel security gate. the dolmus is good value at

Overall the holiday was faultless. After all the worrying after reading other reviews, I went with an open mind which I was glad to do. I have broken down the review in different sections.

HOTEL:- This hotel was of a high standard, ALL the staff worked like trojans to keep it spotless, guests happy. Despite mindless guests not respecting the furniture within the hotel lounge & bar area.

MEALS:- There was an excellent choice at mealtimes, plenty for the kids to choose, the salad bar was excellent alot of variety. The main dishes were plentliful, sometimes not piping hot but that was down to irresponsible guests not putting the lids down. The deserts were to die for. During the day there were snacks and ice-cream which was all-inclusive(only branded ice-creams were payable). Had no problems getting drinks at the many bars situated within the complex.

POOLS:- There are thirteen pools between the Palace & Tropical. We mainly based ourselves around the childrens pool at the Palace, could not fault the pools they tested the water several time during the day(I have never seen this procedure done on previous holidays). My main concern was that there was a family with small toddlers still in nappies BUT when the toddlers were playing in the childrens & main pool they were not wearing any type of nappy to prevent toileting accidents(if this had happened the pools would have been closed down, drained and disinfected and the seriousness of this other guests could have gotten CRYTOSPYRIDIUM which is a serious illness), fortunately this did not happen.

ENTERTAINMENT:- There was entertainment on every night, which accomodated every taste, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the kids disco.

KIDS CLUB:- Plenty of activities to choose from, my nephews were apprehensive at first but once they went a couple of times they enjoyed what was on offer.

LOCATION:- Only 20 minutes from the airport which pleased my brother-in-law as he enjoyed plane spotting. The village itself is small but like everywere else it will soon grow once more hotels are built.

BEACH:- The beach would be better if they were to clean it up and put golden sand down, hopefully this will be rectified by next summer as they could not do anything this year as the turtle were nesting.

On a last note YES i would not hesitate in going back to the Palace in the future. My sister and her family will be going back next October.

Upon arrival in Dalaman airport, we were directed very efficiently by the First Choice reps to the awaiting bus to take us the short journey to the hotel. The 20 minute ride was a plus point with young kids after a long flight.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we checked in, located our luggage, put a room sticker on each item and then went to find our room. Five minutes later our luggage joined us (for a small tip).

This is a huge hotel, designed very well with young families in mind. We had a Room with a Kids Den. Simply done, but beautiful, and huge. The bed was fantastic. We did, however have a bit of a problem getting the right bedding during our stay. We borrowed a Play Station and had taken with us several DVDs for the kids to watch.

It took 2 weeks for the hotel maintenance staff to NOT fix our air conditioning. Good job we weren't there in the height of summer, but it was frustrating that the problem was being dismissed by the maintenance staff.

The hotel and its grounds were very clean. There were staff constantly cleaning. The only mess was from residents who left litter and cups lying around. There were plenty of sunloungers and plenty of room to put them. The kids pools were the busiest. I was bitterly disappointed that the pools were so cold, even the indoor pool. I was told by the Reps that none of the pools were heated and this was something the management were going to look at for next season.

We didn't have much luck with the Kids Club. This was a busy time due to half term and the club always seemed busy, but with that it was very noisy it took a lot for the staff to entertain and control 15 kids each. I went into the club on two occasions with my 3 year old. There was nothing to entice her to join in. Everything seemed to be geared towards school aged children. Having said that, my 5 year old was bored. We went to the chocolate party, missing out on the Wizard of Oz to do so. There was hardly any chocolate and it certainly wasn't a party. One group was colouring and one group was playing a very slow game. After one hour, we left, never to return. The next age group seemed to be having a great time. We figured the staff had run out of steam at the end of the season and didn't really want to be there.

The evening entertainment was very good, just what I would expect from this kind of holiday. Excellent kids disco. The Entertainment Reps and Animation Team never lost their enthusiasm. The shows were very good. Snow White was brilliant. The Turkish dancing was amazing. We always called it a night by 10:00, so can't say what it was like after that.

The Food was as good as I expected it to be for All Inclusive. The Canteen style approach did suit the kids. They want to eat and be off, not waiting half an hour to be served. For this reason we didn't try the themed restaurants. The buffet always had so much choice. There had to be something there for everyone. If you don't try the new dishes, you will get fed up with chips. My 5 year old daughter was a star at trying different foods. There are burgers, fish fingers, baked beans etc, but they are different from what British kids are used to. The only problem we encountered was that people, mostly big kids left lids off the serving dishes and so no wonder the food tended to loose heat.

We went on a few trips, booked through the reps. This seemed easier with young children. The mud baths was a great day, but the mud baths are cold, as are the showers. The jeep safari took us to places you wouldn't normally be able to go, but take something wind proof as the jeeps get rather unpleasant when driving at greater speeds. The best day we had was the family cruise.

We wouldn't go back to this hotel, only because we don't usually holiday in the same place twice. The place was perhaps a bit too big for us and would we would prefer somewhere smaller.

Stayed for 2 weeks in October and overall was worst holiday we have ever been on.

The holiday was not as advertised by First Choice by any stretch of the imagination. Whilst the pools and Kid activities were good the food and evening entertainement was horrendous. Previous resorsts visited in Turkey have been to a very high standard, unfortunately this hotel is far from that.

Hotel was clean, we had a jacuzzi suite this was lovely, the rest a nightmare.

Food was terrible there was not enough choice my daughter and I both ended up ill for our 2 week holiday we ended up living on chips and bread.

The entertainment was always outside in the evening but it was to cold to stay and enjoy the show.

In all the years I've been going abroad I've never been bitten with mosquito's there I was eaten alive.

The location was shocking we were in the middle of nowhere, we couldn't even jump on a bus and go away for the day,it had to be an organised trip with First Choice where on both occasions that we did this they took us to the leather and the gold factory. How boring!!

Staff were ok but no better than that, entertainment was pretty good, well the bits we seen as it was to cold to sit outside.

We feel as our first time in Turkey this hotel and its location spoilt it for us I don't think we would ever go back which is a shame.

I travelled to the Palace in Ocotber 2005 for my wedding. I must admit when i read all the reviews i was devasted your wedding day shouldn't be enjoyed with the likes of JBC's etc. However all members of our party loved it. We had a jacuzzi suite which was lovely and spacious and super clean, maids could do no more. The food is a all inclusive buffet, if people leave the lids of food of course it will get cold can't expect miracles! There was a load to choose from and there was a kid buffet for all the children, the children in our party throughly enjoyed it. The location is a bit out in the sticks but is up and devloping you dont need to leave the village everything is provided for you. There is entertainment every where to suit all tastes. The staff was always friedly and willing to do anything to help. Having read the reviews of other people who visted the same time as us i am not sure if they were at the same hotel. Please dont let people put you off this brillant hotel. I would go back tomorrow!

Food got a bit boring some nights. Location not so good, but give it 5 years and it will be great. Staff very friendy always had a smile.

Entertainment ok for the young one. not so good for adults and teenages at night, but next year I think it will have inproved loads.

Would go back to this hotel but for at least 5 years, which I think the hotel and town will be great.
