Las Vegas, AKA Sin City, is approx 10 and a half hours on a non-stop flight from the UK, currently available with BA and Virgin from London and Virgin from Manchester.
There is so much more to Las Vegas than gambling. It is a foodie paradise with top class restaurants as well as cheaper options to suit every budget. The entertainment is also world class with everything from full production shows to one man comedy shows, magicians, hypnotists, ventriloquists, variety shows, tribute acts, headliners and the famous Cirque du Soleil productions.
Gambling caters for everyone from the low roller on penny slot machines to whales on the table games. Drinks are complimentary while gambling; just make sure to tip at least $1 per drink and you can order anything from cocktails to coffee.
The hotels are entertainment in themselves as they all have their own themes and attractions. Where else can you visit Paris, Egypt, Venice and Rome in the same day?
Must sees are the Bellagio fountains, especially at night, the Grand Canal at the Venetian where you can ride on a gondola. There are also thrill rides 1148ft above the ground on top of the Stratosphere tower and a roller coaster at the New York New York hotel.

If you can book a run of house room at a very reduced rate then I would recommend it as the rooms in the Bellagio all seem to be of a great quality.
Obviously, try and get a fountain view room to see the fabulous fountains that perform all the time to the crowds.

Make sure to visit the famous Ellis Island next door. Their steak specials are legendary. Food and drink is very cheap and mingle with the locals in their karaoke bar- I hate karaoke normally but this one is a lot of fun.

Ah Las Vegas, you'll be the death of me, city of sin....you know the rest! Anyway, anybody who says Vegas looks tacky or worse needs to go! standards of service and value for money are excellent. There simply is no comparison to anywhere else. I have been 7 times and have not come close to doing all that I would have liked. See a show, buy some gear at the malls and maybes even gamble some money. Good luck!

Las Vegas itself is out of these worlds, Disneyworld for adults!!! Celine Dion is worth seeing, fabulous. Other (cheaper) shows worth seeing are Le Cage at the Riviera; American Superstars at Stratosphere; Legends at Imperial Palace, and a MUST is the Fremont Street Experience. If you like cars, visit the car exhibition at Imperial Palace, you can pick up free vouchers in magazines, and you will not be disappointed.
There is so much to see, we could be here all day, but on a final note, to all you men who like ‘boys toys’, go to the Las Vegas Gun store 2900 East Tropicana and enjoy shooting real machine guns and hand guns e.g. AK47 & Magnums (all supervised safely in booths)- GREAT FUN!!!!
We have been three times now to Las Vegas and will DEFINITELY be going again!!!

Vegas was everything you would expect-BIG, luxurious hotels, fab restaurants, superb entertainement, every conceivable type of bar/club/pub/lounge,amazing shopping-exclusive boutiques, free attractions, choice of shows. but to our amazement it was also had a plesant relaxed feel about it!
Walking around seeing the sights, relaxing with a drink ,not whizzing cars and people as we had thought it might be.
THE most amazing thing to us though- 24 hour drinking and in 6 days we didnt see 1 drunk, 1 fight, no litter, no 'mess' in the street, not 1 police car, 1 policeman or hear 1 siren-hows that then???????it is really a place for groups of people-21stbirthdays,hen stag groups, etc.couples on short breaks.
We were there for 6 days and we 'did it to death' so on that basis I dont need to go again for a while. We loved it!

There is a much to do in Las Vegas and despite the fact that we were there for two weeks we did not see all on offer. It felt quite safe on the strip and we followed the guidelines and did not wander off the strip. There are a lot of people who hand out smutty mags but just blank them and they wont bother you.
We went downtown to Freemont street.. there is a nice atmosphere there but watch out for pickpockets and dont wander off the street. THe slots in the hotels here pay out very much more but it is the older part of Las Vegas and we were reminded that these hotels can do this because they have been paid for.
The hotels are all unique and a must see just to wander around and take in all the different themes. The hotel I would recommend to stay in is the Venetian it is absolutely fantastic.
IT certainly is an adults theme park.
Do try and get out to see some of the surrouding areas... the Grand Canyon is a must as is hoover dam and Lake mead. Try to get there early and drive back through the valley of fire. Scottys castle is worth a visit if you visit death valley.
You will have fun and enjoy your stay.

Las Vegas is truly the best resort I have ever visited.
Its not all about the gambling. Its the WOW factor and there is so much more to this city than people expect.

Great place to visit. So many places to see and buffets to eat. (I recommend the lunch time buffet at The Alladin - probably the best on the strip.)
Saw the Blue Man Show at the Luxor - do not miss this show or the Startrek Experience.
Do not miss The Fremont Street Experience either or the Belagio Fountains or the MGM Lions or the...............See it all.

Vegas is a place that you never want to go to bed, there's is so much to see and to do. From the casino's to the shows & the dancing girls to the dancing fountains of the Bellagio, and the Gold lions outside the MGM to real ones inside.
The wedding was fantasic the limo driver couln't do enough for us and Elvis impersonator was spot on. Best place to see the strip is from the top of the stratosphere or a helicopter, luckily we did both.
It is 'awesome', as the Americans would say.

LAS VEGAS is Disney for adults!! It is an amazing place with so much entertainment you wouldnt believe. There are one or two things worth seeing though! There is a small zoo (for want of a better description) in the Mirage hotel which cost $10 to get in which has golden lions, white tigers and dolphins that have been saved from mistreatment. It was set up by Siegfried and Roy and their charitable trust keeps it going.
I would also suggest the Liberace Museum and if the pennies allow a flight over the Grand Canyon
