We are going to altinkum in july and would like peoples honest opinions of this place.Where to go for a nice meal, a few lively bars but not over the top.We have been to gumbet and side for the last two years and love the resorts. This info would help alot .
hi ray316, Ive been to Altinkum for the last 3 years and I love it there, its a chilled out place and everyone is so friendly, it feels like home to me. you will find most of the lively bars around dolphin square, and there are plenty of eating places, try a touch of class, it has lovely homemade food. Also try oracle for your trips.Hope this will help. Anyway Im off too Turkey in a few hours, Im trying Olu Deniz this time for a change but will proberbly go back to Altinkum later in the year. Hope you enjoy as much as I do.
Can any1 tell me if girls can go topless in Altinkum? Is it allowed? R G-Strings allowed also? thanx Jenx
how big is the beaches in altinkum??
hi can any one please give me info on altinkum ..is there jet ski hire is there speed boat hire whats the best places to eat etc etc regards andrew
i would also like to know about altinkum is there any entertainment in the bars or restaurants, where are the best places to eat what are the best trips to do also do they do a jeep safari from this area were off in 3 weeks
is the appollo temple far out of resort?
whats the nearest airport to altinkum and how far time wise?
thanks
steve
Hi. The Temple of Apollo is a short Dolmus ride away, but well worth seeing. The nearest airport is Bodrum, which is a 4 hour flight and its approx 1 1/2 hours transfer to Altinkum
is it walking distance from near the temple to the resort centre as this is where we will be staying
steve
Hi, well it depends if you like walking I suppose, but I would say definetely no, especially in the heat. Jump on a Dolmus, its easy and cheap and will drop you off right at the Temple.
hi i mean the other way around stopping near the temple, but i suppose it doesnt matter what way you are traveling if its a no.been told 20mins walk to 1st beach. but theres a beach just 800m away but not 1st 2nd or 3rd beach ?
I wouldnt consider staying near the Temple, its way too far out and you would only really want to visit it twice at the most, once in the day and perhaps once at night, when its lit up and looks spectacular. I may be wrong, but i don't think there is a beach anywhere near to it. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd beaches are all down in the main resort. I would say its way way longer than a 20 min walk though and would no way consider walking it myself.
is anyone going to this resot this year? judging by the ammount of posts for altinkum the place will be a gost town were going 3rd july staying at the esra
Hi there
and really looking forward to it
My son and I will be there from 31st July for 3 weeks. Can't wait
We were there in the middle of May, it was quiet then but the hotel we were in had bookings for all summer . Altinkum is such a lovely place people will flock back year after year.
