thanks you been a big help for the info
tony
did you ever come a cross tuntas hotel in altinkum, tony,
Anthony. No bazzaar in Altinkum but there is a small shopping centre right near Dolphin sq. Sells same stuff as shops outside more or less.
Going to Altinkum for the first time in 3 days
Could anyone recommend any good places to eat. My husband wants to try some different types of fish, so is that readily available in the resturants? Also could anyone advise me on what turkish food is there and what it is? I've heard of something called pide but not sure what it is.
I've got a map of the resturants so would like to pinpoint some that people have recommended before i go so we're not dragged into the first resturant we come to
Thankyou Elaine
you will find loads of great places to eat in tinkey, but depends on your price limit, everst has always been good for food and most the restraunts around the bottle neck between the beaches.they fast food place is good for takeaway, golf restraunt is good for breakfast.where are you staying?
im sure you will enjoy it no matter where you eat,im taking a break from tinkey this year and going to gumbet.
pinnochios at the 1st beach
little britain its next door
where abouts are you staying in altinkum on the 3rd beach there is the penguin bar they come and pick you up and take you back for free
suzie
Thanks for the replies.
We are staying at the Esra apartments which i think is by the 3rd beach. Does it take long to walk into the main square? Are the resturants dearer there?
We are going with 2 very hungry teenage boys so cheap places as well would be appreciated.
I always say that when we go abroad i will try the local dishes but end up eating steak But this time i am determined to try the turkish food.
Thanks Elaine
Some places are a bit cheaper away from dolphin square but thats the same as all resorts.
Anyway have a great holiday altinkum is brilliant.
Casserole on the outskirts of Altinkum is the best and the probably one of the cheapest. Uncle Fester lookalike will be outside inviting you in then inside is a tin tin look a like they are all so friendly and you get garlic bread melon and a cup of tea or coffee free plus the food is very reasonable. If you go ask for a julie special and tin tin or uncle fester will now exactly what you mean enjoy it we came back on monday and its been boiling we ate at the casserole every night bar 2 and wish we'd eaten there every night cause the other 2 werent a patch on it. If you come out of the esra and turn right at the end turn left and then first right (signposted beach) its one of the first restaurants on the right (think its actually the 2nd) If you go say hi to them all from Julie David and Kirsty please. We stayed at the Esra and its only 5 mins walk
suzie did you ever come across the tuntas hotel if so what beach is it on and can you suggest any good eating places.............
We're off to the Meryem Ana soon - any recommendations for good places around there please?
We're interested in good quality and value rather than in dancing waiters
tony never came across that hotle sorry
My daughter is going to the Meryem ana soon and there are some nice places near there bt, to be honest it is really near the main square. It is a nice hotel very clean and great staff.
Tony - I am sure the Tuntas Hotel is on the 2nd beach in Altinkum just passed the Orion Hotel.
yeah just pass the orion, first class, linekers and british bar....think the first class hotel let's other people use there huge pool.stayed at first class last year....great place
I decided on the Meryem Ana because it seemed to have some of the best online reviews, however it's certainly reassuring to hear from someone else that we're heading to a nice place.
Cheers.
i just been told tuntas is next door to hotel kuzmas.
