Hi LORNA HILEY :D We booked direct with Eclipse for next Easter HERE It was a bit cheaper than booking from the First Choice brochure.
Eclipse is part of First Choice and you go on the same plane and have the same reps as First Choice customers. If however you're not keen on booking over the phone/internet you can book it from the First Choice brochure at any high street travel agents, although I'd recommend booking First Choice holidays in a First Choice travel shop because you may have a better chance of getting some sort of discount.
One good tip is to go on the Eclipse website, price up your holiday, print off the details and then take it to a First Choice shop (if you have one near you) and ask them if they can match it - at least that way you'll have a cheaper holiday but with the full support of a high street travel agent.
Good luck with your booking! When are you thinking of going?

got back a week ago the weather is very hot the complex was good.we stayed in a 2 bed kids suite they was pull out beds .we was in c block.only a few problems lots of mini ants they get everywhere including in clothes and beds take some ant powder and the c pool was closed off for 2 days but we used the other pools in the b section .food was lovely no tummy bugs.the train costs 4 euros one way which is very expensive as there was 4 of us we asked for taxis at reception that only cost 2.80 euros and got one on the way back for the same price as there is a taxi rank near the beach .i reckmend the new beaches at the alantico centre they are lovely .in the end we hired a car from avis it cost 86 euros for 3 days special offer 3days for 2.

Spurry you will have a great time we did!
The only moans we had were pool on the c side close 3 times during our stay.
Ants they get everwhere and we really tried not to eat in room so it was not food bringing them in.
Cleaner was in most days and one day when we were out for day the cleaner had been in, but did not lock door after she had finished!
Food was good always something to eat.
Entertainment team work very hard. Ohh Betty sung by Kieron was the best ,kids still driving me mad with the reps songs c.d
Any questions ask away!
Wish I was going again tomorrow feel like my tan is fading already 8)

Can't wait , just one question..Why was the pool closed so often ,is there a problem with it?, hopefully it's sorted now if there was.
I'll post a review when i get back in 2 weeks time

On 1 day it was closed off as someone had left a present in there!
2nd time apparently the maintenance man put wrong chemicals in pool which led to the water crystallizing also the pumps were not working fully. Closed for 2 days.
There were 2 other pools that could be used!
Have a great time

Great to see some more good reports coming in after what looked like a bad August/early Sept :D
Have a good holiday spurry! Looking forward to your report when you get back.
Can anyone tell me if they do sangria on the all-inclusive? Went to Turkey this August and didn't half miss my sangria... ended up making my own in the hotel restaurant with the red wine and kids orange juice mixed ½ & ½

You certainly can get sangria on the all inclusive!
A small jug full all to yourself well I did anyway!

Can I just make a point here? I notice that the amount of complaints goes up depending on the time of year and how much a person pays for their holiday. If someone goes to the Caleta Dorada in the height of the school holidays, they get ripped off because they pay a fortune. They then expect to have a fantastic holiday because they paid a fortune. When something goes wrong they get more upset than they would do if they had got a cheap holiday. I am talking from personal experience here. Things that I know wouldn't normally bother me if i had paid 250 quid, start to really get my goat if i've paid 750 quid. It's human nature
I really wouldn't let 6 weeks worth of bad reviews put you off if the rest of the time they are good and they start to improve.
The other thing is that holidaymakers wind each other up. You hear them round the pool and before the poor rep knows where she is she's got a hysterical mob at her desk baying for blood.
If kids are having a rubbish time, the parents have a rubbish time, if one holidaymaker comes into a hotel with a tummy bug and proceeds to touch everything without washing their hands you've got an outbreak. You're using a communal pool and communal toilets in the lobby. It might have absolutely nothing to do with the food.
I do live here in Fuerteventura and I don't work in a hotel, but I was a manager of a travel agency in England for a few years and I did travel a lot, so I've got a bit of experience.
I'm not trying to make excuses if people did have a genuine complaint but I do think it's a shame that people have cancelled their holidays and gone elsewhere. For those of you that are sticking with it, I hope you have a fantastic holiday and please post some good reviews. If you have a good holiday that is. :D

Yay!! :hyper See you all at the bar then!

This has happened so many times in various hotels every summer - and people are so quick to blame the hotel for it! I have even seen reviews where people have complained because they've had a bad cold during the holiday - how is this the hotel's fault?
Anyway, starting to look forward to Easter now, it seems a long way off, but I'm sure time will fly once xmas is out of the way

Hi spurry, welcome home! :D
Looking forward to reading your review - I've just found out my daughter has got a few extra days either side of the school Easter hols (new school building has to be got ready) so that gives me a bit more scope if I want to change my holiday and go to Lanza (Thurs/Sun flights) or Tenerife (Fri/Tue flights), and I'm not restricted to Fuerte's Saturday flights. I don't really want to change my holiday, been looking forward to it since the recent reviews have got better, but if things are going downhill again then a change will be the only option :(

So.... the food was pretty bad and some of the bar staff have a poor attitude :? I'm sorry to hear you were so disappointed :( I think I'll hang on a couple more weeks, see if the reviews improve again after your complaints have been registered with Turicomplex, although you'd think they'd pull their socks up a bit after the huge number of complaints this summer.
I'm currently looking at alternative accomodation in Lanza or Tenerife, but obviously it has to be with Eclipse otherwise I'll lose the money I've already paid and it has to be of a similar budget because I don't fancy spending any more money. Hopefully things may improve at the C.D.

Have sent emails to Turicomplex and First Choice , so far have recieved a reply from Turicomplex acknowledging they have recieved it and will be passing it onto the Caleta, I will keep you all informed 8)

Re: tummy bug. You dont just have to be careful with hand washing either. My son came back from Egypt unscathed thank goodness. He did have a jab though to prevent any tummy bugs which lasts 2 years, however, the rep told them that on no account must anyone who has signs of stomach problems not to go swimming in the pool either. Other guests in the pool could be infected by swallowing the water, sounds horrible but it happens.

There are way too many reviews on these hotels to Merge them - would take me hours. Therefore would it be appropriate to rename each hotel as Caleta Dorada complex Caleta Amarilla Apartments and Caleta Dorada Complex Caleta Dorada Apartments or have these names gone?
