to be honest cos ive been on so many holiday since letoonia its difficult to remember some things. the dress code was casual, hubby wore cropped trs and smart shirts most evenings cos it was fairly warm. we were there when it was the end of the season so most of the specialist restaurants were closed so cant comment on those, so we spent most of the week in the self service. hubby said water was included as he drinks gallons of it and he thinks we had wrist bands but i cant remember, sorry to be so vague but i go on holiday about 6 times a year and we were there oct 07 so i have been on a lot of other holidays since. its a lovely place , very scenic, 24 hr all inc, i dont drink very often but enjoyed the baileys and archers, which is very unusual for an all inc. hopefully someone thats been more recent might be able to help. im sure you will have a fab time. 1 thing that stands out was the fantastic artist, who draws people or animals from photos he copies in black and white, absolute likeness, i got him to do 2 of my daughter i was so impressed , get loads of lovely comments when anyone sees them. have a good holiday, if i can help with any more questions let me know

I am 99% certain we didn't have wristbands, just a keycard. I know we were never asked for it for identification when we returned to the resort after being out all day.
There is water in the minibar (along with some beer and soft drinks) when you get first get there, but they don't restock it after that and then you just get it from the numerous bars. Take a couple up to bed with you in the evening, so you have some for morning. On the beach there are several water dispensers, but note they often run out of the disposable cups, so take a couple with you from the nearest bar to save you having to walk all the way back.
It's a great place with great food and drinks, you will have a great time.....

Letoonia has AI cards but you don't need to carry them. The only time you need them is if you leave the resort, so you can get back in, saying that you can get back on the resort by showing your room key. We left our AI cards in the room for the entire holiday, well all three holidays!. Any more questions about the resort feel free to ask me, as we've been there for the last three years.

looking at going here either 1st 2 weeks in June or 1st 2 weeks in July and have a couple of queries.
What percentage (approx) of guests are British and how many Russian ?
Is the entertainment decent of an evening as it seems unfeesable to 'wander' into Fethiye on a night.
Thanks,
Graham

its quite a walk into fethiye i wouldnt like to do it, we used to catch a taxi or the free boat, although thats restricted times, we were there in oct and there was a show on in the ampitheatre every night, some live music in the main area some nights, then there was a party 1 night with belly dancers jumping out of a giant cake, think ive put some photos in the gallery so have a look. its a lovely place and you will have a good holiday. we didnt see many russians whilst there but its such a huge place. theres a discos but we didnt go to that so no idea what thats like

The entertainment is pretty good, and as for Fethiye, the ferry across is now 10Tl return, we just got taxi's in there from reception, I think it was around 20Tl each way which isn't too bad. If your out for the night I would get a taxi to Fethiye the get the dolmus upto hisaranu. There's some lovely restaurants and bars up there, definately worth one night out. I think it was around 50Tl for a taxi back from hisaranu to Letoonia. As for Letoonia, everytime I have been there seems to be more russians than british people.

Hi,

Can anyone answer a few questions for me about this hotel?
We are thinking of booking 2 weeks in mid June this year! Can anyone tell me if you can get Diet drinks? I am Diabetic & find the non diet type send my BS too high! Also have the family Bungelows got balcony or terrace? The brochure seems to differ between yes & no!!! Are the imported spirits Free or not? again different brochures say different things!
Thanks in advance

The only diet drinks they have is diet coke - it is the real thing though - can't remember if it was Coke Cola or Pepsi though! They do have branded drinks but often you have to ask for them by name as they seem to keep them under the counter. Most of the rooms have a balcony or terrace. It is a bit of a hike up to some of the rooms, but the view is worth it when you get there. The rooms are in need of an update but having said that they are extremely clean. The facilities were great and so is the food!! We really enjoyed it.

Denny...........Thanks for your quick reply,

What time of year did you go? Did you have any problems getting a sunbed by the pools or beach? I have read hundreds of reviews & about 90% rate it good or excellent & the only gripe seems to be the steps! Are they really that bad?

Thanks again

We went first week in June. It could be difficult to get a sunbed sometimes, but we went to the beach and managed no problem, and that was for 4 together. There a 3 beaches to choose from. All the watersports were free, even the sailing boats. They were good fun.
Yes, the steps are that bad, but people seemed to be able to change rooms no problem if they were too much! We just tried to remember everything we needed so we didn't have to go back to the room too often. Going back late at night was fun - especially if we had had too many sherries!! Anything else you need to know, just ask away.

If you want a large balcony and you are staying in the bungalows, Email the hotel and request an upstairs room. They're bigger and have a decent balcony. Letoonia have always given me the type of room that I requested when I have been there.

So excited 8 weeks to go, on the situation of restaurants do you have to book well in advance and which are the best one's to go to?

I'm sure I'll think of laods more questions now the time is getting nearer.

For the A-La-Carte you're normally better off booking a few days beforehand, which isn't a problem. The Fish restaurant on the waterside is my favourite, definately worth a visit. The kebab restaurant was my least favourite. If your there for two weeks, give them all a try. Theres plenty of food to choose from in the main restaurants, the moonlight is the best normal one which you don't have to book for.

Three years in a row we've been to Letoonia, its a great place. we'll be trying somewhere different to Turkey this year then maybe go back next year. ;)
