Hi guys,
Just got a couple of quick thoughts.....
Thanks Kerry for the info on connecting rooms. I'm sure the kids will be so pleased that mam and dad can still keep one eye on them!!
Not ALL rooms are interconnecting, however if you have prebooked with your TO then you should be ok. You could always email the Conrad direct to make a request, I know some guests who had good results by doing this. You can reach them

we found sinai very good and the house reef is as good as any according to some of the dive guides.
Second, House reef is breath taking, hubby became quite the little water baby and decided to have his first ever scubadive. He used Sinai divers on the beach as we had seen their web site before leaving UK an were confident they would do a great job, and also he wanted to see more of his beloved reef

He paid £46 for a discover scuba session. A one to one with an instructor. She spent about 15 mins going over signals and how to equalize ear pressure. Then into gear and off down the jetty. She jumed in and told Murdo to follow, (he wasnt too confident at this point) When in the water she had complete control over his bouyancy but he was still alittle nervous and worried about water getting in his mask. At which point she told him no there wasnt and pulled the strap on his mask which then fell apart!! She remained behind him at all times controlling the boyancy thing(sorry Altoman) again he was nervous as he couldnt see her. The whole event was about 1hr 15min from arriving at center to leaving centre.
This didnt put him off altogether as I booked him onto the Aquarius dive. For £56 he was picked up at 1pm and returned at 6.40pm (half day trip supposedly !!

)
They were shown a video on safety, signals and equalizing pressure the a discussion in the class room. Then into a pool to practice and gain confidence. Only then did they enter the open water. The instructor took 2 people at a time. Once the dive was completed it was back to the school for a de-brief and to watch the vidoe. More confident and much happier, Murdo had a much more enjoyable experience.
The moral of the story, there is no better reef than the Conrads, but if you have never dived before you may want alitte more instruction than was offered to Murdo. Sinai divers may do group lessons where they use the pool, but this was not offered on the 1-2-1 which seems strange.
In his opinion he felt the Aquarius trip was much better value for money.
