Well waht can I say....

....a few days away from the computer and I come back to find LOADS and LOADS of great photos :bow :bow

How on earth do you get time to fit in all that holiday washing or did you use the Conrad laundry service before you came home?

Anyway, thnks so much for your hard work, it is appreciated :thanks

We fly Thursday for a fortnight :fly Can't wait. One thing hubby would like to know is about dress in hotel and Sharm. He wanted to know if vest tops were acceptable wear on an evening.(After reading about how warm it is on an evening he is hoping that he doesn't have to wear anything too heavy!!!

Thanks once again for everything

I'm hoping to go back next year, last two weeks in August, just got to find the deposit money and hope they don't become fully booked as quickly as last year :?

Anne :D

I found the time to post all my pics by sitting in front of my pc for most of the weekend

My Hub and Son both wore vest tops some evenings with 3/4 length trousers. Some people dressed up a little but as you say, it is very hot at night too and once you leave the air conditioned hotel and venture outside again it hits like a hairdryer!

If you find it too hot on the beach just go and sit in the sea every half hour or so like I did, there are plenty of little chairs for just this purpose :sun :sun

Thanks for that Pippy
The 'sea chairs' sound like a good place to spend my holiday!!!

Have any of you ever emailed the hotel you've booked to ask for a specific room number?

If I'm able to book to go again next year I'd love to be able to stay in room 3131 again but I realise I won't be able to request this with First Choice.

Doddy :D

I hope you're enjoying your last few hours at the Conrad :D Can't believe I've been back home nearly a week :(

Hi Pippy

It's worth a try. Every time I've emailed the hotel I've always had a very quick positive response, so Good Luck.

We are now all packed and ready to jet off to the sun. Setting off early tomorrow morning :fly :fly Really can't wait now. I'm sure we'll all have a great time.
Still unsure as to whether to get visas and go to pyramids. Hubby and I have been before but would love for the kids to experience it. Not quite sure of costing as it could use up a good lump of our holiday money. :shrug

Anyway thanks to all who have given answers to queries etc...etc...
I'll let you know of our "experience" when we return.

Oh I do hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we all did, we've still got the post-holiday blues :( One thing I can absolutely guarantee is that you'll love the beach!

I'd be grateful if you could pop down to the gym and tell Ali I said 'Hi' :D

Have a safe journey and look out for those trolley men at the airport!

Will do Pippy

We are all beach lovers so I'm sure we'll all enjoy ourselves.
Don't worry about the trolley men at the airport- the nine of us are ready for them!!!!!

We'll try and bring some of the sunshine back with us!!! :sun :sun :sun

Take care

Just a quick question for anyone that has returned from the Conrad.

Is the Air Conditioning in the rooms any good? Does it work of a key card?
Reply
Hi,

Air conditioning works with the key card and is really good - it actually got too cold at night sometimes:-)
Reply
Thanks Kerry21,

Does your tesco clubcard work in the key card, to enable you to leave the air conditioning on.

Also, we have booked a Superior Room but on the Conrad site, they list standard and suites. Do you know which one is the superior?
Reply
You know I never even thought of that! Worth a try :D But I don't think you really need to, the rooms were never too hot and the air conditioning is really efficient.

I honestly couldn't tell you about the rooms. I dont think the superior room are the same as the suites. We stayed in a superior room, I think the only difference between the standard and superior rooms is that you get bath robes, tea and coffee facilities and a fantastic sea view.

Thanks Kerry21.

I think it will be a bit too hot for bathrobes.

Hi Maz

No, the superior room isn't a suite.

We had two superior rooms, both were very spacious and we were supplied with bathrobes.
In the brochure the superior rooms are described as having tea/coffee making facilities, be aware this is just a kettle and two cups though so make sure you take plenty of tea/coffee and dried milk!

The air conditioning is very efficient, like Kerry, we sometimes woke up in the night too cold!
