Wouldn't it be better if TO's gave you vouchers and then you could spend it at your leisure [only saying this as we may have to cancel a holiday and don't know when we'll be able to take it]
Hello does anybody know when the 2009 holidays will be on sale on the internet
I have been told many differwnt dates, 6 may, 16 may, also been told that as of winter 08/09 they will not be selling holidays on line, so who knows, the first choice staff certainly don't, they give you a different answer every time i phone up

regarding my holiday change round, all is sorted now. spoke to a lovely helpful guy via the eclipse call centre (don't get many lovely people at all usually in any call centres!!) and he sorted us out, binned off our 2 weeks in the dominican which was costing us £2200 and re-booked us for 7 nights in our chosen resort and (fantastic looking and well reviewed!) accomodation in morocco for less than £900 AI. charged us £20 each to do so, but we could totally change the whole holiday for that including destination, departure date and airport, accomodation and everything else. i feel like i can relax now and look forward to our pre-wedding break without having to worry about money...and we can afford a decent honeymoon now! 
Just spoke to FC/Eclipse, apparently next years prices will be online on Monday 19th May!

i am getting well fed up waiting for first choice 2009 to come on line,its alright them saying you can book online or in the shop,but i could have checked a hundre prices by the time you get through on the phone

I wondered if now that Thomson and First Choice have merged they are doing this deliberatley so that the Thomson brand gets a kind of head start in their sales for 2009 ? Presumably anyone who wants to book early with the TUI group is having to book out of the Thomson Brochure and off the Tomson web-site.
I agree you can check 100 prices & different permutations on-line (for example I check from three different airports) in the time it takes a call center or sales person in a shop to check three or four.
Also they get hacked off after they have checked about three holidays & expect you to book something.

But I haven't seen any of the First Choice holiday villages etc available through the Thomson website yet, so perhaps not. I keep checking, but they're definitely not there!
I agree with you though, I prefer to look up loads of holidays online, rather than sit in a travel agents and have them price two!

That's true Catherine. Is it one of the FC holiday villages you are interested in for next year? I wonder if in years to come they will merge the two brands brochures, so they will just be called holiday villages rather than FC holiday villages.
Yeah it is doe, just wanted to see if there were any at decent prices over a couple of different dates at either of the villages. Thats the problem with going into the shop when you want to try chopping and changing dates and villages, its quite a lot of work for them.
I'm sorry that they are doing away with the Eclipse site I used to find it one of the easiest to use. I was so adept at using it I could probably price holidays faster than a professional Catherine.

Really annoyed have booked within 1 or 2 days of web holidays becoming avaible with Eclipse/First choice for last 4/5 years
Not prepared to wait much longer If this what joining up with TUI means its rubbish They must be losing loads of customers

Just phoned and they don't even have a date in mind. Said they are having technical difficulties with the new website, so cannot give a date when you can book online!
