good to hear that its still nice in kos at that time of year.
kos town is pobably our best bet then as it keeps going untill mid november.
good thing its a bit less hectic, i remember in august it was packed around the shops and macdonalds was a nightmare!
yes i know.....but hey sometimes you fancy a burger!

maybe someone else out there can tell me what kardemena is like in october?

we have two hotels on the shortlist - luca blue laggon in kos town
portobello royal in kardemena

i have seen a couple of reviews for the blue laggon but nothing for the portobello royal, anybody know anything?

That sounds really good, we are going to kos for first time 01/10/08 for 2 wks. We are staying at the Akti club on the ouskirts of kardamena- kardamena wouldnt have been my first choice but we got it for the bargain price of £659 for two for AI!

Does anyone have any info about this hotel or the immediate area around it?

thanks

We had a great holiday in Kefalos last year and we were going ot go back this year but Libra have stopped there flight from Scotland and they were the only ones doing the Antonis Hotel. The only flight I can find from Scotland is with Thomas Cook and that is on a Thursday and we really need weekend flight. Looked at Rhodes there two years ago but they have stopped Saturday flight from Glasgow as well. What is going on.
Cheers

brisleyseims! Don't know your actual hotel but don't worry about Kardamena. We went as a party of 15 around 4 years ago. The ages ranged for 2 - 65. We all had a great time and there was something to suit everyone. It can be as laid back or as busy as you like. Enjoy!

Hi. Was thinking of trying Kos last year but eventually chose Zante. Our son is nearly 13 and we are looking for a resort/apartment/hotel which is likely to have kids of the same age staying there. Looked at Nicon (Kos Town) and Alice Springs (Lambi) but the majority of the reviews on this site, and others, are from singles/couples. Can anyone recommend somewhere where kids are welcome?
Thanks in advance.

We took our kids to Kos Town when they were 11 & 13 and they had a brilliant time. From our experience all the Greek islands cater for people of all ages.

Hi Helen. Been to loads of Greek islands and the mainland so I know they cater for everyone but my lad will be on his own and just want somewhere where there is likely to be kids of his age. Would like to go to Stoupa again (holidayed there about 5 years ago with a friend and her son) but I don't think it would be a good idea for him on his own. Just looking for a bit of advice on accommodation in Kos.

Myself, wife and 7 year old daughter have booked two weeks at the Mitsis family village in Kardamena for two weeks going on the 16th July 2008. It would be good to make contact with anyone going at the same time, or anyone who has stayed there and can give us the low-down. We've read the reviews on HT but apart from a very positive one from August last year, all the others seem to be quite old. :cheers

Hey,

Me and a group of mates are thinking about going to Kos around June time. Im trying to get a bit of info about the place. Is it suitable for about 10 guys between 22-26, we are really just looking to have a good time and somewhere that has a really good night life. Do you think Kos is the place or us? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Stak,
I think you'll enjoy Kos. It will depend on what you're after. For lively nightlife, Kardamena is the place to be. There are also watersports off the beach. Kos Town is also lively but not quite so "in your face". Kos town has a small beach and a nice harbour. I've also been to Tingaki but I think it will be too quiet there for a group of lads your age. Hope this helps.

Kardemena definitely if its for younger people. Kos Town is nicer but I think its more couples and families. Lots to do in Kardemena for young people
Enjoy!!!!

kardamena is not only for the young, it's for all ages, we have been going for the last thirteen years, and are in our sixties now, and love it there, we tend to go in october now tho, when things have calmed down, and have met lots of people around our age and older, who still go year in year out,

We are going to Mastchari in June and will need to hire a car.

Are there any recommendations or Car hire firms to avoid in the area please?

We will be stopping in the Achilleas.

Hi pojo. Sorry for delay in replying. Our son will be 13 in April. Decided to book Stoupa (hope it will be ok for him). Times of flights to Kos were absolutely horrendous (unless you paid a high premium). Gx

Well thats what I mean Jeppo9 and Wizard its for younger people IMO in season and it also attracts a bit of the 18-30 market.
May and October would be much more suitable if all the younger scene isnt for you (I know its not for me nowadays). I was there very end September.

Hello, i'm going on a 18-30's holiday with 3 of my other friends. I'm wondering what the nikolios studios are like in Kardamena. And i'm also wondering what the night life is like other there, and what is the weather normally like around mid June.?

Thanks in advance.
