Have just booked to stay at the Denise Apartments in Psalidi. Can anyone tell me of any decent places to eat, serving traditional greek food, around that area and in Kos Town itself? Also a rough idea on prices?
Cheers
Can you get a big taxi at the airport which would take all of us plus copious amounts of luggage (2 daughters, late teens, need i say more!!!!)?
If so, how much would it be?
Has anyone used the 'shuttle bus'? Is it a good option?
Our flight arrives into Kos at 0045 on Saturday night/Sunday morning 15th August
Many thanks and if anyone has any other useful info on this subject I would be really happy to hear it! xxx
HERE should only be about 30 euros each so 60 Euros in total. You could also try HERE for shuttle bus prices. Shuttle price to Lambi seems to be about £9.00 each, even a taxi to Lambi on there is only £40.00.
HERE shows cost of shuttle and private 12 seater to Lambi which is the nearest resort to the hotel. £85 for private minibus and £9.11 per person on the shuttle bus.
There are usually taxis outside the airport, but you may have to wait depending on availability.
Hope this helps.

I've just booked a last minute (well, 2 weeks away) holiday to Tingaki, Kos - first time for us.
No Sunday lunches, pie & mash on our holiday menu - I want to overdose on lamb and eat great greek food such as kleftico, stiffado, mousakka, soutzoukakia, stuffed aubergines etc.
I'm looking for recommendations for traditional restaurants serving Greek food where we can spend a relaxed evening over delicious food and local wine.
I've looked on the JustZante website and there's not a lot of current recommendations.
For 2009, I've found Ikarus, Meni, Rodini, Saggitarius & Vassilis.
I'd be grateful if anyone can give me any more or comment on the ones that I've mentioned.
Also, any recommendations for good bars - not too noisy though?
Cheers
we go to akti hotel in kos 15th october is the weather still warm enough to go for a dip in or the pool
Can anyone give me an idea how bothersome the mozzies might be in Kos last week of August & 1st week in September, please.
That time of year just becomes 'hit & miss' really. Im sure it will be nice, probably late 70's to early 80's. It will be cool at night though so take a couple of jumpers.
Im off to Kefalos on the 1st October for a couple of weeks so hopefully it will be nice for that too.
can you get a bus to kos town from kardamena ot a taxi what the prices like
also going to bodrum for the day do you still have to pay the £10 to get in
It's about 27 kilometres from Kardamena to Kos. It is possible to get a bus, I think they run about 6 times a day between the two and usually cost about 3 euros. You can also go on an organised coach trip for about 10 euros. A taxi would probably set you back about 30 euros, but remember to agree the rate before you depart.
Hopefully they won't be as we are there from the 20th August to 3rd September. However, I spoke to some friends who cam back last week and they indicated that they were a bit of nightmare, she had bites to numerous to count!

Being a MCP, I think it might depend on "Their" time of the month.
Use lemon to distract them. It puckers their lips and renders them unable to nibble!
