All in all a terrible experience and I spent the next few months fighting with FC about getting some money back for my lost case because the reps lied about the whole episode and of course FC believed them.......
I wouldn't go back but glad you all had a good time
SG
we might be back but havn't quite woke up yet, of course some people have had a week off to get over it
Scubagirl sorry you had such a bad experience, I always use first choice and only once had a complaint about the flight and they totally ignored it and there is nothing more annoying than no reply at all, better luck with your future holidays.
They may well redeem themselves with the mess in Mexico?! Let's wait and see Should know tomorrow

I have just retuned from the Hotel Costa Caribe Margarita and it was fantastic. The food was great and we had no problems the pool, it didnt turn your hair green. It is about 45 mins from the main town.
you are right about the blonde hair mine was fine and i was in the pool all the time.
just come back from laguna mar its the best by far
What more can be said. Was there the 2 weeks before Kiltman and Sunseeker and loved it.
Now all thats left is to persuade Mrs Craig to go back next year.
PS for those wondering the bag is too big to fit as an AVATAR
Couldn't agree more about MI, we all had a great time
Mrs Giraffe and I are celebrating our 25 anniversary next year (she really deserves a medal for putting up with me for so long ) and we are doing an Egyptian cruise / stay, but I think we will return to MI and the LTI Costa Caribe the following year.

ps Craig, I know you don't have the bag anymore because that big boy stole it from you
I want my bag back!
My daughter turns 16 in the next few months and I am trying to persuade Mrs Craig that MI is the place to go for our last family holiday as its not like the Med and I know that if we are in MI and at the LTI I dont have to keep an eye on her and her mate all the time.
We were a little disapointed to find the dolphins in an inland concrete tank, we weren't aware of being close to the sea, so there was no hint of a natural environment for the dolphins. In fact I've no idea where we were geographically * see below.
You need to be aware you are totally dependent on their poolside photographer for any photos of your experience, as the logistics mean that you leave your belongings (including your camcorder) in a changing area away from the activities.
In our case it means that we were held to ransom for the photos, since under normal circumstances you are supposed to be shown all the pictures of all your party (meaning the entire coachload - all in the pool at the same time !). Then you would naturally wish to choose only the pictures of your family and friends for purchase. Since it was late in the day and we didn't want to miss or boat sailing there was no time for this so it was a case of "Buy this $30 CD with ALL the pictures on (95% of them of strangers), or go home empty handed". The entire coach party was up in arms over this ! In the end only one or two of us bought the CD and we had to haggle with Ocean Villages Photography shop to provide pictures for everybody from these CD's. It was difficult and they didn't really want to help.
Thank good ness for the dolphins, at least you could trust them, they were wonderful, friendly and performed all their tricks as good as gold. Whilst we did enjoy the experience, in hindsight I would have chosen somewhere else for our first experience of swimming with dolphins.
Edit :- * We went to Waterland Mundo marino (it said so on the CD label)

We were in Margarita July/August this year staying at LTI Costa Caribe. We arranged through our tour operator to 'swim with the dolphins' It cost $50 to actually go in the pool with the dolphins and $7 to watch. The venue was in Porlamar at a centre call Divaland. We watched a film of the dolphins, met the resident seal who we were allowed to take photos of (for a small charge even though it was our own equipment). Both my husband and one of my grandaughters actually went in the pool with the dolphins and my daughter and I got loads of digi pics of them. They also had a resident photographer who took pictures of you with the Dolphins these we were able to purchase as we were leaving and were all individual shots and well worth the few dollars we paid for them. We thought that this trip was very good value and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't know if there are a couple of places on Margarita where you can swim with the dolphins but if there are it sounds like we picked the right one!
Our party of 8 did the Dolphin excursion , we had a german couple tagged onto our swim who never spoke the whole time ,we bought the DVD and just made 4 copies when we got home and edited the other couple out ,well worth the money even though we had to pay for our own taxis there and back.
We weren't offered the DVD when we went last week. They must have stopped doing it!!
