mardon . no it hasnt been discontinued just changed its name . the one you showed in your first post im afraid is WRONG.

its the skin so soft soft and fresh veriety in the dry spray oil - bluey /green spray bottle .

Arny mosquito deterrent fabric

Has anyone used this fabric.I had never heard of these but saw it in Boots sale so thought I would give it a try.Its 56cm square and can be worn as a bandana,tied around the wrist or ankle or placed over a pillow.Larger ones are available as sarongs.

I'm only guessing, but it is probably just impregnated with essential oils during the manufactoring process.
Worth a try though, at that price :wink:

We tried the Avon Woodland SSS stuff in Goa last year and got bitten to b*ggery. Certainly didn't work for us.

dont know if this has been recommended but mum takes antihistamine tablets for a week before we go and they work a treat - it was actually recommended by a turkish doctor!

Hi anyone know what the mozzies are like in the Salou/Costa Dorada area of Spain? We are actually staying on a camping site in between Cambrils and Salou and somehow from past experience camping sites seem really bad for the little blighters?

Hi cazzmickntom we are going the last week of May and first week in June, did you stay on a campsite or in a hotel near the front? Just a bit worried that they might be bad as our campsite is back away from the main beach area I beleive

Mozzies

Every year I seem to attract mozzies to the point that it almost spoils my Holiday, I`ve tried everything but still managed to get eaten alive, Last year we went to Hisaronu and I took two bottles of spray on "JUNGLE FORMULA" and only got bit once at the back of my neck where I had`nt got any on . I now swear by the stuff, it dose sting a little if your arms and legs are glowing red like mine usually are on the 1st couple of days but it soon cools off. GOD BLESS JUNGLE FORMULA !!! :lol:

I found if you have been bitten, to stop the itch rub it with alcohol. It doesn't matter what sort, but spirits are best.

To stop bites I have found Aeroguard is the best and longest lasting.

Hi everyone we are off to Corfu in June and everyone says that the mossies are on the look out for people like me who get bit very easily.Went to Turkey last year and used Jungle Formula and only gor bitten twice went to Bulgaria the year before and ended up in the clinic having to get a bite opened up as it got infected.
Have tried taking B1 and also using the Avon skin so soft that has been on this site and neither worked. So will be sticking to the Jungle Formula this year. Can anybody tell me anything else to try if the mossies are as bad as everybody says.

Hi Mandy, my friend swears by garlic capsules and she's a magnet for mossies! She uses the odourless ones. Perhaps you could read up about them? All I know is they work for her, where Avon SSS definatley works for me! Strange isn't it? Good luck and hope you find something that works, Linda x
