does the avon skin so soft dry oil spray work???
or is it just the body lotions??
Just spoke to my neice who does Avon, and its the SSS Dry oil body spray soft & fresh that apparantly does work!
That's the one Jaimec
There's a whole 3 pages dedicated to the Avon SSS here :
Thanks everyone.
I buy ours from Ebay, there are quite a lot of sellers on there who are selling it.
Just looking at books here and its £2 in campaign 10 and £2.50 in campaign 11. (havn't I got an exciting lunch hour )
the wifes just ordered me some
Jungle Formula always seemed to be the best to keep them at bay but now I buy the local Elephant Spray (in a green tin or pump spray) and it does help a lot.
Unfortunately, we went to Paphos on Saturday afternoon to meet up with some friends and sat at one of the restaurants along the harbour for a couple of hours and I got chewed to bits.
Usually, I only need to put spray on at night - so guess who will be avoiding the harbour for future in Paphos

by the time i get cyprus in august all the mozzies will be dead or it will stink of sss oil
The larger supermarkets in Paralimni all have a good selection of anti mozzie stuff and Boots in UK always carry a variety in their summer section.
I've bought some of the Avon SSS Dry Oil ready for my holiday, I'm not surprised it keeps the mozzies at bay it smells quite strong (not horrible just strong) unless I've got the wrong stuff
we got a fab three pronged mozzie plug in at a supermarket in protaras you can use it with liquid or pellets and it wasnt expensive.
I carried one in my bag all the time and applied frequently. there must have been plenty about as I seen others with lots of bites,
I also showered in Avon sss and used the soap and body lotion after the shower.
never had to before but am right scared now
plug ins are basically electronic mosquito killers. simply plug it in and you can actually watch the mozzies drop from the ceiling. slide the pellets on the heated part of the plug and it is the vapour that kills them!! or you can also get a liquid attachment which works the same
Seriously used it myself, the dry oil spray is great stuff, its not oily, rubs in quick and has a pleasant smell, not chemically or anything. In the States Avon can say it repells insects, but British and E U laws wont alow them to do so. or so the rep said
Jay
jayjaya very good
Hiya,
Again this season mossies have not been much of a problem here in Pafos area, it will depend on your location but I sit out most evenings until late and so far no problems, a few snakes and one or two very large spiders, but all in all insect free this summer...... so far!!
