Onur Air have just been bought by Pegasus Airlines so there could be changes in the fleet and aircraft operated by next summer.

We have a slightly messy holiday due to someone who we thought was a good travel agent but subsequently isn't.
We fly with Onur air, have separate transfers (no idea who with yet, WAHEY!) and then our hotel is booked with Thomson.
We have received our flight details from Onur Air and they say we have to confirm we are flying back with them after our 14 day stay, who do we confirm this with, do we have to phone them or tell our thomson holiday rep?

This is a standard statement all schedule and flight only charter operators include in their booking conditions. If you are traveling as a package with Thomson, your rep will check with the airline for you. It's just to ensure the flight hasn't changed. It's nothing to worry about, flights rarely change.

It's a bitty one, we have our hotel (Club Candan) with Thomson but it isn't a package deal flights with one company, transfers with another and hotel with another!
Could you possibly tell us any more information about our flight, we fly from Manchester flight number ohy380? Is it normal for all flights to be delayed?

OHY's operations in and out of MAN have been pretty reliable this year. I've been on that flight myself. We were delayed 2 hours outbound but its impossible to say what will happen on the day. OHY380/379 is generally operated with an Airbus A321-200. There's information and a cabin photo over the last couple of pages of this thread. If you don't have the services of a holiday rep, then either phone the number provided on your tickets or just turn up for your flight as per the schedule. It's very unlikely to have changed.

Thanks Darren, thats helped us loads. I think to be on the safe side i will find out how to contact onur air whilst we are out there or ask the thomson holiday rep. Just need to find out who our transfers are with! I think i could have organised this holiday better myself LOL!!!

It does sound like its all a muddle! Onur Air's contact details are on their website. In my experience, they are hard work to contact. There should be a contact number on the tickets but best to double check with the rep.

Does anybody know how many hours beforehand Onur Air open their check in desk at Manchester? We arent sure what time to book the taxi for!

It's normally 2 hours before your scheduled departure time but there are 2 OHY flights, 3 depending on your departure date so if you are on the second flight they may let you check-in sooner. 2 hours before is the recommeneded check-in time anyway. Last time I flew with OHY, they used 3 desks adjacent to the XL desks downstairs from the normal check-in area in T2 (210-212).

hi can anyone help me i have flown with onur air several times (we call them venga-airways) but this year we are flying with an operator called freebird, i have been told they are a turkish airline, has anyone heard or flown with them and are they ok. just hope they are better than onur air. we had a crash landing with them and a poor man died on one of our flights cos they had no first aid training.
