mel.w.76,

Both months are within hurricane season so it's pot luck really. I was in Juan Dolio the other year in March which is a nice time of year to go. May - November is unpredictable. Weather events tend to be tropical storms which can be short lived, but you never know. For more detailed weather records, have a look at http://www.wunderground.com

We went to Bayhibe in June two years ago and the weather was 32 most days but felt more like35-40 :sun2
We have visited the DR several times over the last 5 years and the rain has never spoilt our holidays. Yes when it rains it rains but to be honest most of the rain falls at night and when it does rain in the day its usually heavy downpours that dont last for long. Hope that helps. :tup

Thanks

What will the weather be like in May in the Dominican Republic? Also, which would be the best resort for me to take my 69 year old mother - we usually go to the Med but fancy something a bit further afield this year.

help me please, we have booked the wedding for 27 June 2009, so we are going to be flying out around then for the honeymoon.

We both want to go to the Caribbean, and really want a sandals resort.... but we are willing to change

So (finally i hear you say...) We are wondering from your experiences where in the Caribbean do you recommend for good weather?

thank you in advance

Hi,

Hi Christine,

I went to Domincan Republic in June for two weeks, two years ago. The weather was absolutely beautiful. It rained for one day from the time we got up to the time we went to bed, but was still very warm when it rained, and people stayed in the swimming pool.

The Hotel I stayed at created activities for people to do indoors so that people did not get bored.

Hope this answers your question and have a brilliant holiday! :cheers

Can anyone advise what the weather will be like in Jamaica around the beginning of July. We have heard this is the rainy season and are reluctant to book if we are going to have rain for most of the holiday, thanks everyone :)

Can anyone tell me what the weather in Cuba (Varadero) is like in March?

I have read mixed reports... is it sunbathing weather? :sun2

Lozza07,

It most definately is :sun2 weather! It's like anywhere in the caribbean though, the weather can be unpredictable but is generally well in to the 80's and blue sky's in March. I always have my Caribbean holiday in March because the weather is generally settled apart from an odd tropical storm but they mainly develop at night.
