We are finding that more and more wedding parties are using apartments for flexibility, as they find hotels can be very formal and with children the extra freedom of apartments can be a help. Also many attendees at weddings do not have the budgets to allow them to stay in large hotels for a week or so. Adjacent apartments allow everyone to open or close their doors as they wish and have theri own holiday as much as they want.
hi guys im new on here! my partner and i have booked a wedding package with airtours for may this year! all we need to do now is book our reception for 28 of us and small amount of photos etc when we get there! but its not having any idea on prices that is worrying me. how much should i take etc! my wedding package is all paid for ,that includes wedding cake, cars, service, flowers in town hall,my bouquet and his button hole.. so thats all done ,like i say it is just the reception.
You would be looking at 36 photos ( 6 x with album around the CYP215 Euro 367 mark in Paphos

thanks kev! that some good info, one less thing to worry about, just the reception now really!
I am getting married in Coral Bay this year, has anyone been? I am looking for a nice restaurant to have a meal and drinks afterwards, we have chosen 2 but cant decide...The first one is called Trattoria La Vigna and the other is Called Andrias? Any advise? We are keeping it quite informal as having a reception for 250 people when we return. Please help. Cheers Shell
im after some help, we are looking to get married in Cyprus in 2009, hoping to arrive is Cyprus around 26th April 2009 and marry around the 1st of May. I have heard the 1st of May is a public holiday so we mat have to have the ceremony a day either side of this.
We have not been to Syprus before and were undecided on a resort, I think we have pretty much narrowed it down to Protaras as the resort for us as we like the looks of the beaches on that side of the island but didnt want anywhere as lively as Ayia Napa.
I have seen lots of people marry at the Capo Bay hotel which looks nice, but I have heard from the hotel renovations are going on this year and next which means they are likely not to open for the summer season until May time. So I wanted to see what other good centrally located hotels there are.
One I have seen is called something like the sunrise hotel, the hotel itself looks nice, but some of the pictures i have seen of the standard rooms look a bit poorly decorated for what it says to be a 4 star hotel. Looks like it may need a re-furb. Also another one we have considered I think is called the constantinos, but again not sure what this is like.
Can anyone offer any help on the best hotels in protaras?
Also we have been thinking of just having the reception held at the hotel we plan on staying at, but we would ideally like some sort of outdoor gazebo type reception and didnt know if there are any other good venues to consider?
Also wanted to see if anyone has used aphrodite wedding services to co-ordinate there wedding, we are thinking of using these.
looking forward to some good advice!
many thanks
We are getting married this year in Cyrpus, but have decided on the other side of the island. We are getting married and staying in the Coral Beach Resort, Coral Bay its about 10 mins in a taxi from Paphos. I am advised that its a gorgeous spot so fingers crossed. A friend of mine married this year though in Nissi Bay which is near Ayai Napa, her Hotel was the Olmpic Lagoon, I have seen the photos and they were gorgeous. Good luck with your plans.
Cheers

hiya how much was the boat for u and all ur guests please as this is the sort of thing i was thinking about!! already paid for the wedding package just need to sort out the rest!
Hi it depends on what package you go for, we went for having the boat from 1pm that till till midnight and we selected meals and we docked most of the day then set sail, i'm just logging off just now but i will pm you later tonight, roughly we were around £1500
Can I ask that you don't use phone style text please such as u instead of you and ur instead of your? Some of our visually impaired members use screen readers that do not recognise this type of text.
Thanks

Hi Wedding 2009,
Capo Bay hotel will be finished by the beginning of April 2008, ready for the busy summer season. Sunrise Beach Hotel is a lovely hotel, they too have just had some refurbishments.
Constantinos the Great and the Vrissanna Hotel also do wedding ceremonies - these hotels are a few doors down from Capo Bay and are on the Protaras strip/beach.

Ayia Napa isnt the lively resort it once was and boasts some lovely hotels for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Here are just a few:

I hope these help with decision making, please give me a shout if you need anything.

Hi there everyone!! We are getting married at the holiday village aliathon in sept and can't wait! Though a little worried as it isn't quite finished yet Does anyone know anything about the aliathon or fc weddings at all?
I have been informed that the Aliathon is a First Choice village which can have 3 wedding ceremonies held there one in the civil ceremony building, one outside & one in the chapel. It is opposite the iberstar ledra Beach hotel
I understand that you are the Cyprus Piper, I wanted something a little special for my day, I can't PM you, can you PM me?
Thanks
Kerry08
