As Destiny is back in Palma Port on Thursdays, thought I'd bump the link to the webcam:

(takes a while to load this year, even on fast connections so don't panic if you see a white/black box at first)
Going on the Destiny on 17th Jul 08. Wife wants to know if she can use here Straightners and Hair Dryer on the ship. She is concerned because of the power supply.
I personnally have more important questions but ill ask them later
Both mine worked fine on the Spirit - there can't be a question more important than to do with straighteners!
Having a slap head I suppose I do not understand the need for these Items or its importants.
Having read the threads on the Thompson Cruises I am looking forward to chilling out with a few G and T's in July.

just got my tickets today and they say no smoking anywere inside ship???????
was on destiny last year and we could smoke down 1 side even inside?????
I was on Destiny in April/May, and the policy change on May 1st 2008 which now states no smoking anywhere inside the ship (inc. cabins), only on portside of the outside decks (when not re-fueling).
I hope this clears up any confusion.
Rachel.
Make sure you pack a few cardigans for all the trips you're bound to be making to the top deck next week!
I think I would've been sleeping on a sun lounger at night just to save time going up and down stairs
See you next week
Any others off on Thursday (12th)?
does anyone know where on the ship the single cabins are located? thanks
Flyout 10th Jul
First week in Talayot Calor Millor
2nd Week on Destiny.
Anyone stayed in the Talayot lately. ?
Shore trips a bit pricey going by the Cruise Book they sent.
Any suggestion and recommendations
Thanks

Glad you had a good time Jackie. Would be delighted if you would post a review by clicking the link at the top of the page. I would suggest typing it in Word or similar first so that you can copy and paste it.

Also can Olbia in Sardina be done as a DIY in the same manner that Mahon can ???

Thanks Jackie, but no phone style text please, eg any1 instead of anyone.
We have booked a cruise for October half term on the Destiny "Moorish experience" , 2 adults and 2 teenager (15/14)and this is our first cruise. We booked a 4 berth inside cabin on deck 3 - I have read many reviews so I know that the cabin is going to be cramped but also understand that we won't be spending much time in there, I hope! but the question I would like to ask (most probably the 1st of many) is - The bunks in the cabin, do they stay out for the whole cruise or do we/or cabin staff put them away, as I would like to put them out of sight during the day as it would hopefully make the cabin feel slightly less cramped. Can any one tell me.. Thanks
The Pullman beds, the upper bunks, are pushed against the wall during the day and the lower bunks are usually made up with cushions to resemble a sofa. Your cabin steward will do this for you while you are at Breakfast. This makes the cabin appeare more spacious during the day.
I have merged your post with an existing topic on the Destiny which has some useful information in earlier posts.
Any further questions, please feel free to ask.

You most probably won't all be in the cabin at the same time (apart from sleeping) so it won't be too bad. We had a routine where the kids went up late afternoon, showered and changed, then an hour later, we went up and they left the cabin and went into one of the lounges.
Thanks for that reply- its glad to know that the cabins will look more spacious with the bunks away! We can't wait as we only decided to go on this cruise last Saturday - its a bit of the unknown as no-one we know has been on one but reading your replies helps to answers alot of questions we have about it.
Have you read our reviews? You will find more information there.
I stayed there last year - lovely hotel. The majority of the guests are, shall we say, of more mature years but this didn't stop my kids from having a great time. They have a fantastic entertainments host named Andreas who cooks a lovely paella and says "bloody" in every sentence. Some people didn't approve, but as my wife said, we should be thankful it wasn't a lot worse!
