I have just one question ( for the moment ) on the Tiran Island trip do you need a visa, how long did the trip last, where do you depart from, and roughly how many people per trip (ie are there enough shady places on the boat ) presummably the sea is fairly calm at this time of year, my 10 year old is quite keen to go but doesnt like the idea of rough seas!!!

Has anyone had any experience of the `water walking` seen some piccies on Trip Advisor of kids inside a big bubble! just wondered is this another payable extra, is it just for kids - any info much appreicated.

Anyone done the zip wires, do you need trainers or will canvas pumps do! don`t want to have to pack the contents of the shoe wardrobe if I can help it - (or could you wear the water shoe thingies as they are enclosed) Thanks.

my two kids did the water walking no you dont need to pay for this but you need to book this, they go around the pool taking bookings for this you also need to be dry to take part in this.
my kids didnt do the zip wire but one of there friends did i think you need to wear trainers and it costs £10

We got pre-booked seats when we changed our booking from 11 to 14 days, think it was part of the cancelled holiday we got so the people must have booked them. We didn`t on our origninal booking. Don`t really know what that means! think we can actually sit together.. but its FC so `who knows??

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the indoor entertainment & outdoor entertainment.

We went to the HV Turkey last year & the entertainment there was held in a outdoor ampie theatre, but they also had a pool bar which had acts on mainly for the Adults also had bingo,karaoke & party games.

Is this the same set up in HV Red Sea.

What type of professional acts do they have on through your 2 week stay?

Is the ampie theatre where they have the bingo, karaoke etc,,

We have pre booked our seats we usually try and get 2 window seats so sitting on the same side of the plane 1 row behind. My holiday starts when I leave the house, we are aiming to be at the shuttle park for 11am to book the car in etc so will prob be 11.30 ish at the airport.

Do you ask for the seats in that configuration when you get to the airport?
We usually end up 2 kids and 1 adult in 3 seats then the other adult across the aisle , and the lonely adult is usually poor Jane as I like to have the kids hold my hand and mop my brow as we take off. lol

Hi Ant, You don't need a visa for the Tirana Island trip, the small harbour you travel to is in Sharm and takes about 15 - 20 mins in the shuttle bus. We were picked up at 9.00am and were back at the hotel around 13.30. I was informed that the maximum amount of people they take on the boat was 28, although there were probably only 20 the day we went. It's great boat with a 'dry' upper deck, no shoes or wet clothes allowed, where everyone bases themselves whilst at sea and then a lower deck where you get ready to snorkel, if that's what you want to do. Plenty of shady areas to sit and also an area to top the tan up!
The sea was very calm and my 10 year old daughter loved the trip, she even snorkelled (using a life jacket, provided on the boat). Hope this helps.

Hi Louise, All the evening entertainment is outdoors, including the kids disco and entertainment and all takes place in the Ampitheatre. They had professional singers, comedians, 'X' Factor evenings, bingo, all sorts and if it wasn't something you liked, you could go and drink up in the main bar or sports bar.
