Rang VFS Global today because our visas have not arrived!
95p a minute!! Unreal. They then gave me a number to call the DX to trace the package.
So I rang them only to be told that the name on the envelope is not right, they have put Steve's surname as his first name and vice versa. Also they had the wrong delivery address.
So I had to phone VFS again to ask them to change this and email the DX company.
I don't feel good about this as I have no control over what is happening. I think I will call the DX company back later on.
Panicking a bit now though :( :(
Hi sent mine and husbands passports to be processed last monday. Mine went to be processed last thursday, according to vfs website, but when i try to track my husbands it comes up as no record of it. Just been on vfs website again and mine has been handed over to royal mail for return posting, but husband still says there is no record of his. I am quiet worried about this, has anyone else had the same problem. Have emailed vfs and are waiting for a reply, but i believe they are slow in replying. Thanks Denham
Theyve had mine a week today and still says proccesing I know they are busy this time of year. The website says now allow 15 working days. I hate this part
I thnk they will both turn up in the same envelope.Maybe someone forgot to enter the tracking details.
I am getting bits together tonight to start completing our visa forms. We will be staying at the Nazri in Baga but I cannot find a postcode for it which they ask for on the form, even their own website does not show one. Want to make sure I get it right can anyone help please?
Hi Papa,i hope you are right, wont sleep much tonight. Should arrive tomorrow, will breath a sigh of relief if they are both in envelope. Thanks Denham.
I'd be inclined to agree with Papa if your applications were pretty much the same i.e. your hubby didn't answer NA to any question that you answered or doesn't have a UK passport.
As your application is pretty much on its way back to you, you should find out soon anyway but I'm sure they'll both be back OK.
its arrived its all ok im a happy bunny
Visas was delivered today but nobody was in, i was at work and hubby was on his way to work. So they have gone back to royal mail depot. Can only pick them up between 7.00 am and 12.00 noon. Will ask hubby if he can get it in the morning or will have to wait till friday as its my day off. So will have to wait and see if they are both in envelope. Denham
Just got email from vfs, it says hubbys visa was processed and was posted yesterday with mine. Feel better now, but will feel even better when they are both in my hand. Thankyou Papa and Prettypolycat for your replies. Denham
Our friend who travelled back with us mid December went back on the 9th January with no problems but she had a two year business visa and she got the lawn mower she was bought as a Christmas present through customs ok
chilly
I went to Edinburgh VFS for my sixth annual tourist 6 month Visa application last week and I was told that it may be possible to obtain a longer period (one year?) visa on my next annual visit - provided I can show the six previous visa stamps in old passports.
I notice that there is actually a price for a one year Tourist Visa in the application instructions.
I was also told that it's not guaranteed, it's discretionary.
Has anyone ever got a one year tourist visa?
She's looking to book a late deal, so wondered what she should put down as the address on her visa application? As she won't know until it's too late to obtain a visa.
She's looking to travel to South Goa, can she therefore just put down any hotels address???
Any idea what the current turnaround time is from completing your app online / posting passports off - to receiving them back home?
Cheers.
Yies, I have had two 2 year tourists visa's and one 1 year tourist visa, all with stipulation of leaving after 180 days and returning back to India.
salford vfs website stating up to 15 days. Mine came yesterday took a week. Im not sure about the accomodation question, wouldnt want to tell u the wrong thing.
I put the address of where we have stayed for the last 4yrs.We are staying in a guesthouse this year&everytime i tried to put the address it came up invalid address! We had our Visas back in 4 days
Got visas back today, but my husbands surname has been spelled wrong, they have missed a D out. Can anyone help, as i dont think they would let him into goa with his surname spelled wrong. Does this mean he will have to pay for a new visa or will they correct it free of charge. We have been going ten years and never had a problem before. Only five weeks till we go and could have done without this problem. Thanks Denham
J
Have emailed them and given them my home phone number, if i dont get a reply by tomorrow i will have to ring them. Just hope we dont have to pay for a new visa, but even so it will cost another £11 to send it back Thanks Denham
