hi people!
just wondering, when tcx 36k(man-cancun) starts.ive tryed to find some info on it,but to nothing!
cheers!
oh!
ive also booked premium seats(2adults 1 child and 1 infant) when we booked the holiday!
we decided later to book "your seat your choice"for the obvious reasons.we booked on line and we were charged £83.00!
does this sound about rite?(the £83.00 was on top of the cost of premium seats!)
thanx again!rich

buzzer,

That seems a bit strong as we were charged £24 for LGW-CUN. That's £6 for each leg for the two of us.

I would have expected your bill to be, assuming the infant occupied a seat, £48.

buzzer14,

There are flights from Manchester to Cancun year round. However the TCX036K/L is the summer service running between May and October. £83 does seem a little steep for the 3 of you. There have been previous problems with customers also being charger for seating together, that is included with the premium package so you may have been charged for that too. It might be worth a call to check.

Bearing in mind that you've already paid for Premium Upgrade, that seems very steep. It seems to be money for old rope!!

We have booked Premium Upgrade on our flight to Aruba in July through Thomson, with no extra charge for booking specific seat numbers.

Hi All
I am flying on TCX517K/L on March 18th/25th - EMA-ACE.
Would like to know what aircraft type and if it will have any IFE.

luv2travel,

EMA-ACE-EMA (TCX517K/L) are operated by an Airbus A320-200. I know that one from the top of my head because it diverted in to Manchester the other week! You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hi Buzzer ! I had the same issue this year ... Booking My Seat My Choice online for Premium doesn't take into account that you've already paid for Seating Together ...
Call Thomas Cook Airlines to get a refund. It should never cost you that much.

i had a similar situation, i booked our holiday online and paid £20 per person for seats together not realising they were already included in the price of premium seating, i was only told when i called thomas cook airlines to book specific seat numbers who told me to ring direct holidays (the agent who sold me the thomas cook holiday online) and ask for the refund which i was given without question...i think you may be in the same position :think

Sorry to dive in like this, but I would like to ask a question and I don't know how to start a new post. I was supposed to be travelling on a Thomas Cook flight TCX122K to calgary on 24th March 2010. It was supposed to fly at 9.30am. This flight has been moved to 1330 and they have changed the flight number to TCX009K. Have they changed the time of the flight or have I been moved to another flight without my knowing. Also can anyone tell me if the flight TCX009K and L have seat back tv'?

Many Thanks

Tom

It just looks like the flight time has been put back since you booked (combined flights), you're still on the same flight. TCX009K/L (TCX122K/L) are operated by an Airbus A330-200. These have seat back IFE throughout. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

A Similar thing has happened to me on a return flight from Calgary - Canadian Affair told me that this was because the Gatwick and Manchester flights were now merged into one flight using one aircraft. This meant us losing our reserved seating!
It migght not be the same in your case, but worth checking.. the flight numbers you mention are the same ones we have.

I phoned TC customer services the other day at 09.00, and it was closed, so tried 1 minute later and was 14th in the queue. It took me 40 minutes to get through. When I recently phoned Thomson's customer services, my call was answered immediately. Having dealt with TC for the last few years, it took me by surprise and I nearly forgot what I was going to ask. I usually have so long sitting in the queue that I have time to prepare everything! Maybe someone needs to have a word in someone's ear about the "quality" of their service? They are fine when you get through, but 40 minutes is a long, long time.

Hi There
Would anyone be able to tell me what aircraft I will be flying on and the configuration etc. I know that Darren you have helped me superbly in the past and even given me the registration number of the plane. You are a clever guy :-)

Here are the details

Gatwick on Thomas Cook flight TCX82K departing on Thursday 5th August 2010 at 14:35 arriving in Halifax Nova Scotia at 17:20 (all times local). For the return, Halifax NS on Thomas Cook flight TCX82AL departing on Thursday 12th August 2010 at 18:55 arriving in Gatwick at 04:45 the next morning (all times local).

Cheers Guys

I didn't know TCX were flying to Halifax? Your flights should be operated by a Boeing 757-200 (ETOPS). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

oooo interesting..but thanks Darren.
Is there no way of finding out which actual plane it would be then? I guess not if its a surprise to you, you usually have your finger on the pulse :-)
Thanks anyway

louise804,

Are you booked through Canadian Affair or Thomas Cook? Halifax is too small to warrent sending an A330-200 so it's more than likely a 757-200 route. I know Air Transat operate the same from Gatwick to Halifax on the same day.
