Lol just read the comments - in a word 'twonks'
am I living on a different planet - I love it there, when I step off he plane I feel like I am home. From Arthur our taxi driver coming to meet us we are welcomed with handshakes and hugs from everyone the whole time we are there. You can walk into a restaurant 12 months down the line and they still know what your favourite dish is.
A little story, about 10 years ago we bought all our duty free from the Elephant Shop, on getting back found we had left a few bags there, 12 months on our bags were still sitting there
We had to go to the FRO office in Panjim to register because of the 2 month rule .
We needed 3 photographs each , had to fill in 3 forms each ( all the same) supply coloured photocopys of our passports , picture page, visa page , special permission page.
We then had to have an appointment at the same office for the next week take our passports and 100 rupees each , get another stamp in our passports and hand in our forms at the airport on our departure.
No problem there then !

Unless its an emergency....or last minute booking...why do people travel to London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester to obtain their visas...pay petrol money, parking and stand in a queue for hours...
thinking of booking for beginning of dec this year as a surprise for my OH's birthday. have been to Goa twice before but not this season & as the rules change all the time could do with some help -Can I apply for a visa for him without him knowing?
He has to sign the visa application and if the signature does not match it will be rejected.
Hmmm, a wife who can't forge her husband's signature - is there such a person?
might have to get him to do it blindfold then
You could always tell him that as he is so lovely you really must have his autograph.
Interesting read from The Times Of India
Very interesting article.
I know my friends Daughter and grandson are supposed to be coming to Goa next week but the HCI have refused the childs visa as he has a different name (the fathers) from his mum and despite the father being present they have still requested a birth certificate, but there isnt time to get one, so the dad is also getting a visa (he doesnt need )
The reason i ask is that this has hi lighted an issue for me, my mum is hoping to bring my granndson out next year and i am about to book the flights, it seems she may have a problem, has anyone on here been through this situation? If so any advice please on the best way to do it or what they require
Thanks
Chilly
A couple of people told me recently this rule is to be abolished, has anyone else heard this
Yes we heard that a couple weeks ago,but have seen nothing in writing yet.
"New tourist visa guidelines to be announced soon will see the existing mandatory two month gap between visits to India being done away with."
Nothing has been reported since that date.

This is the article. Samachar is a site which gives the headlines and the articles from all Indian Newspapers. Very good site if you are interested in Indian news.
N.B. when looking for Samachar website please spell it correctly or you will end up on the samchar porn site and you wouldn't want to do that would you.
thanks for the info
If anyone can get it wrong well............
