Can anyone please help ?
I am booked onto the TCX 718k /L to Dalaman from gatwick at 8.25am, however I have been told this operates to Bodrum. this flight number is still showing on gatwick airport web site as still going to bodrum this summer.
when will they change it over to the Dalaman sector ? or will they change my flight details as i have also paid for extra leg room seats ?
thanks in advance
gregg
Gregg,
I rang Thomas Cook Airlines, got through straightaway and was told that my booking of £6 per sector meant I was only entitled to book 7 days before hand but I could pay an upgrade and book now if I wished to
My sister told me that last year when she travelled to Benidorm with Thomas cook. She was one of the first people at the airport. Yet her and her family were given seats at the back of the plane. She did not enjoy it as she got bumped on the legs every time the flight crew came with trolley's. I don't want this to happen to us. Can you tell me if it's allocated on a first come basis why she was given seats at the back of the plane.
This is so passengers who are eating are all sat together, pretty standard for this for airlines who offer meal opt out.
You don't want to have opted out of a meal and then be sat next to someone eating, also creates hard work for crew serving.
You can pay extra to pre book a seat towards the front if required
JKKne, don't understand that at all. It cost me £6 per person per flight when I booked last month for September. How much was the upgrade and did you?
Don't understand how your sister got her legs bumped more sat at the back of the plane? The aisles are the same width, so she would have got them bumped just as much at the front. Or am I missing something?
the invoice states its a A320 airbus will this be the short haul one they use with a 28 inch seat pitch or might we be lucky and get a bigger seat pitch. Thanks in advance.
Christine
My travel dates are departing gatwick on 31st may returning on 7th june, only one week but its a break !!
seemed to be no issue when on phone booking exit seats and paying more ?
cheers gregg
My wife and I are travelling to Mexico in a few days and want to combine our luggage. We have 20kgs per person allowance and want to check if anyone knows if we can combine this allowance so that we have one case up to 30kg and one up to 10kg or whether each case has to stay within the 20kgs allowance? Its a bit unclear from the faqs on the website, it does state that baggage can be combined as long as one item does not exceed 30kgs lifting allowance but doesnt state whether this is still the case when checking in more than one item.
We combined when we flew TC last year. The case weighed about 26kg and the holdall about 13kg. They just weigh the first bag and then put the second on to get an overall weight.
Hi jus a quick question if anyone can help, I have booked to travel to the Dominican Republic in September and have also booked the Premium cabin upgrade. I have received my confirmation letter from Thomas Cook with the holiday details however there is no mention of the premium cabin upgrade. I have spoken to customer services who confirm it is on the booking, can anyone tell me if it will show on the tickets or do I just have to take their word that there will be no problem at checkin?
It will be clearly printed in your ticket booklet, should also be on the official invoice

Hope this makes sense and thanks very much in advance.

You can combine, but if it is a gram over 30kgs, TCX have the right to ask you to repack. This is for health and safety reasons for the handling staff who load/pick up your luggage. They are not permitted to lift anything over this weight.
I've read that Thomas Cook will be using aircraft with a 30" seat pitch for their Canadian Affair flights this Summer. Is this true of all flights? We're booked to go Glasgow-Vancouver return (not short haul by any definition!) and booked premium for the increased legroom. If they're using the 30" pitch planes there is no premium cabin, is that right?
I've checked on the website and they're still taking premium bookings for our flights. Would they be doing this if it was already decided they were going to use a different aeroplane?
Does anyone know if there is any way I can check? I probably would cancel and rebook through another airline if I can confirm the change before I'm supposed to pay off the rest of the tickets. 30" to Vancouver??? No way!
Thanks
Welcome onboard
You'll find aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). 2x Airbus A330-200's are be reconfigured for summer 2010 to cover the Canadian Affair contract. These will be back to the 354 seat high density configuration with 30" seat pitch in economy. The premium cabin will remain untouched with 35" seat pitch.
