Hi David, im a bit of a nervous flyer and have a bit of OCD when it comes to finding out info about my up and coming flights. I was wondering if anyone could help or point me in the right direction?? :-)
TOM536 - Tuesday 7th 1:55PM - GWK to SHRM
Looking for the plane model, was hoping it wouldnt be a mega cramped one for 5 hours for my comfort as well as the kids
Thanks
Welcome onboard
LGW-SSH-LGW (TOM536/7) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (ex First Choice aircraft at the moment). You'll find further aircraft information including aircraft and cabin photos, seat plan and IFE on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Thanks Darren, have to say the 757-200 looks very small and cramped for a "mid" haul flight!
The Boeing 757-200 isn't that small of an aircraft weighing in at 109,000kg fully laden! I've flown many times on them and went from Manchester to Luxor and return on one in March, the return flight being 6 hours 28 minutes so I'm sure you'll survive! The ex-FCA ones do get a bit crampt after a while having the old style seats, I must admit but you'll get there safe and sound, that's the main thing.
Darren
Thanks again Darren.
The ex-FCA 757's(apart from a couple G-OOOX/Z) have had newer seats installed with the slimline backs. They still have the seat pockets in the traditional place unlike the ex-Tfly birds, but it is an improvement on the green seats installed previously. I would "guestimate" the legroom about 28.5-29" on the ex-FCA aircraft now and about 30" on the ex-Tfly aircraft.
Any news on the IFE for Sept please?
We are flying to Corfu on 24th September flight no.s TOM 2518 and TOM 2565 and I was wondering whether it would be a FCA plane or Thomsons, thanks....

Many thanks for your reply BEfreeTODAY, much appreciated.
MAN-CFU-MAN (TOM2518/9) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. It's too early to know if it'll be a former First Choice or Thomsonfly as they are rotated regularly. It makes little difference other than the seat design, they are basically the same.
Darren
Do they only sell the middle aisle first or have genuinely all the window seats been sold?
At £50 a punt its quite pricey.
Any feedback would be great.
Pretty much all seats are available for selection. However window seats tend to get booked up more quickly than the centre seats so you have to act quickly.
Darren
Many thanks Sunaddict
I have booked a holiday to Florida from Bristol leaving on the 10/10/10 returning on 17/10/10
Our flight numbers are TOM586 & TOM587
Can you tell me which planes operate on these flights?
Also are any seats better in terms of leg room than anyothers?
Thank, Stuart.
BRS-SFB-BRS (TOM586/7) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Apart from extra legroom seating, all seats offer the same seat pitch in their respective cabins. Seating is personal preference.

I have some questions about the fleet if Darren (or anyone else) wouldn't mind answering (if they know the answer!):
- 4x ex-TOMfly 757's are off to Allegiant in the US soon. Anyone know which they are?
- I have read that all ex-TOMfly 757's will be retired in the near future (in advance of the ex-FCA birds). Any truth to this?
- G-OOBN/P - are these just in the fleet for Summer '10, and if so, what interiors have they been flying with?
- Any update on the A320/1 fleet and when they will be retired?
- Are there any ex-FCA 757s due to be retired soon (eg. G-OOBG/H/G-OOOX/Z/G-CPEP which have not been repainted?)
- Will G-DBLA/PJLO be having winglets fitted?
- G-OBYB/G-BYAJ/N are all with TUIfly - any plans for these to return to TOM?
- Any more 737-800 deliveries planned?
- Finally - anymore winglet retro-fits planned for the 757s?
I know thats a lot of questions. Any info appreciated (even if in addition to the q's I pose).
For info. - im interested in aviation and more specifically FCA/TOM which is why I am asking these questions.
Thanks so much
Regards
Rob
I think your questions are better directed to an aviation forum rather than a holiday forum, for example Airliners.net.
Darren
I'm flying Man-Dlm TOM496 on 13th Sept is it too early to find out which aircraft will be operating this flight? I know its a 757-200.
Wayne
MAN-DLM-MAN (TOM496/7) are indeed operated by a Boeing 757-200. It makes little difference what the specific registration is as they are all the same inside, other than the seat design. It's mainly former First Choice aircraft, but it does very weeky.
