Am flying EasyJet - not sure of their allowances yet? must find out. Last year i had 20kg allowance with Thompsons/Britannia - upgraded to 25kg but could of coped with 20kg really.
Have got good at mixing and matching clothes, take mini toilitries (can always buy them over there if i run low!) take old books from car boot to leave there etc.... my new theory is having lost 4 stone my clothes will weigh less - just means il take more other problem is i need to take things like my soya milk/wheat free bread as im on a low dairy/wheat diet - they weigh a ton on their own
Wonder if the allowance is on the easyjet site?
Alison

Any comments?
In the above report I saw the magic word "litigation" . So I wonder who is suing who?
Easyjet has a 20kg allowance for checked in baggage.
Hand baggage is limited to one per passenger ,dimensions of 55x40x20cms.

So, if you ring the phone mumber quoted, do you actually get through to the gentleman whose name must not be mentioned here?
Anyone who hasn't got their cruise yet care to try it?

If you look at the news for 8th April (I think) you will see that there was a change of Secretary and Director.
The Independent has called their appearance on the Stock Exchange a contender for "the most disastrous float of the past year"

You can see a nice graph of how the company's shares have zoomed from 44p to 10p in the Mirror:

Seems that investors were cutting their losses before the end of the tax year. How about buying a few shares and asking questions at the AGM?
Presumably, the Express didn't respond to the ASA because of the impending court case (which the company hopes can be avoided by a settlement) - otherwise, what happens to the cruises if the company wins but can't pay up?
Incidentally, the ASA (which is by no means unimportant) is looking into two promotions involving city breaks.
Happy cruising folks!
Your Maltese experiences aren't really relevant now that Malta has joined the EU.
Don't forget that if you're stuck with Euros there's no need to spend them just to get rid of them (if you don't want to save them for next time).
Most British shops accept Euros (including BT phone boxes) - or you could donate them to charity.
hi everyone.cruise dates getting nearer i cant get excited about what i will take until i getmy official paperwork arrives ,any day now i hope.i will feel its realy going to happen when that comes.i will have to pack very caefully as its 20 oneasy jet but asi am returning ryan air its only15 so it will really have to be travel light. i believe there was 1 h ,t, going on opera before me i hope he gets in touch to tell us how it has been.Fromthe siteshighlighted about mkm sounds as if they have more troubles than just us.i hope all people who want a cruise still get them we might never know especialy the people who have accepted a wait till 2006.cats are shouting so better feed them .bye for now carol
well I don't know how you all feel, but waiting to see if people actually get their cruise tickets is almost painful.
I have booked my venice hotel and have started to buy my new cruise wardrobe....positive soul that I am. Magsy and I aren't going until June.
But I have to say, I will be a lot happier when people have their tickets.
Fingers crossed for everyone waiting.

I thought that Malta was still in E.U. Limbo, There are so many countries waiting to join this happy band of brother one simply cannot keep up.
Coming home with unspent euros is not a satisfactory
climax to a holiday. There is a sense of closure when your purse is empty. Maybe it's a Womans' thing.
Joan.
your leaving it a bit late for your shopping arn't you

Leaving for my £10 cruise in the wee hours of tomorrow morning!

Anyone know if its necessary to take a beach towel for use on the ship? ie, are there good sun loungers where towels not necessary? If you know, can you pm me Cheers
Bye Ali
carol Alli, have a wonderful time.tellus all about it when you get back.
Have a great time Alii. I think you will be given a pool towel as well as room cabin towels. Well you are on P&O anyway
Have a super time and I will keep checking your website for photos!
No need for a beach towel!
Have an absolutely WONDERFUL cruise
As for towels, poolside ones are stacked in a special container-thingy - there's another container-thingy for the used ones, which you put there when you've finished with them or crew do. There's usually a rule that says you can't take ship towels ashore to use on the beaches, but one ship I've been on supplies you with a towel of a different colour to the poolside ones that you CAN take ashore. They'll give you a clean one when you bring it back and leave it on the floor. Safer to pack a beach towel, just in case you need it - most ships won't provide beach towels for use ashore (in my experience, anyway).
DO tell us all about it when you get back
Fay
