On the day the ASA report was published, another report was also issued that is pertinant and illuminating, that has not been mentioned.

I recommend viewing

Any comments?

In the above report I saw the magic word "litigation" . So I wonder who is suing who?

The Stock Exchange mention is important. Remember that, last year, the company's management gave a profit warning due to the unco-operative nature of cruisers.

If you look at the news for 8th April (I think) you will see that there was a change of Secretary and Director.

The Independent has called their appearance on the Stock Exchange a contender for "the most disastrous float of the past year"
see: http://news.independent.co.uk/low_res/story.jsp?story=626214&host=3&dir=97

You can see a nice graph of how the company's shares have zoomed from 44p to 10p in the Mirror:
http://mirror.sharecast.com/cgi-bin/sharecast/story.cgi?story_id=461459

Seems that investors were cutting their losses before the end of the tax year. How about buying a few shares and asking questions at the AGM?

Presumably, the Express didn't respond to the ASA because of the impending court case (which the company hopes can be avoided by a settlement) - otherwise, what happens to the cruises if the company wins but can't pay up?

Incidentally, the ASA (which is by no means unimportant) is looking into two promotions involving city breaks.

Happy cruising folks!

Auntie Joan,

Your Maltese experiences aren't really relevant now that Malta has joined the EU.

Don't forget that if you're stuck with Euros there's no need to spend them just to get rid of them (if you don't want to save them for next time).

Most British shops accept Euros (including BT phone boxes) - or you could donate them to charity.

Hello everyone,

well I don't know how you all feel, but waiting to see if people actually get their cruise tickets is almost painful.

I have booked my venice hotel and have started to buy my new cruise wardrobe....positive soul that I am. Magsy and I aren't going until June.

But I have to say, I will be a lot happier when people have their tickets.

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting.

Thanks Cruiser,
I thought that Malta was still in E.U. Limbo, There are so many countries waiting to join this happy band of brother one simply cannot keep up.
Coming home with unspent euros is not a satisfactory
climax to a holiday. There is a sense of closure when your purse is empty. Maybe it's a Womans' thing.

Have a great time Alii. I think you will be given a pool towel as well as room cabin towels. Well you are on P&O anyway

Hi Allii,
Have a super time and I will keep checking your website for photos!
No need for a beach towel!

Hi Ali

Have an absolutely WONDERFUL cruise :!: :!: :!: :!:

As for towels, poolside ones are stacked in a special container-thingy - there's another container-thingy for the used ones, which you put there when you've finished with them or crew do. There's usually a rule that says you can't take ship towels ashore to use on the beaches, but one ship I've been on supplies you with a towel of a different colour to the poolside ones that you CAN take ashore. They'll give you a clean one when you bring it back and leave it on the floor. Safer to pack a beach towel, just in case you need it - most ships won't provide beach towels for use ashore (in my experience, anyway).

DO tell us all about it when you get back :!: :!:
