Also if anyone knows can you please tell me if they have a dive centre attached to the hotel? And if so if anyone knows what it's called? I wanted to find out if they take boats out or if they just dive from the shore.....?

Just had some feedback from my friends who flew out yesterday.

They say that the hotel is huge gorgeous and it's really hot in sharm!

He has booked a 2 day trip to Cairo on the coach, trip to St Catharine's (where the burning bush is), a climb up mount Moses to see the sun rise (the old romantic), Scuba diving and swimming with Dolphins which has cost him and his partner £300 each for the lot. He said two weeks isn't going to be long enough as there is loads more to do!

Roll on 13 days, I cant wait to get out there now! (Not sure I'll be doing the Dolphin swim from the bad reviews I've heard though)

We are going on the 4th August for 2 weeks and cant wait to go. We have got a king size room which sleeps 4. I did ring First Choice to ask if it was 1 kingsize and 1 double as the room sleeps 4 and they wasnot sure. There is 2 adults and 2 children aged 13 and 9. If any one knows more on the rooms ie beds etc please could you let me know.

There are 8 of us going out on the 19th and 4 of us are friends stopping in one room, so we're hoping for one king size and 2 singles - as I know they wont do 4 single beds ... but we'll let you know on our return how it works out!

You can use image shack to show your photos. The procedure (excuse me if I oversimplify)
Open URL http://www.imageshack.us/
From the browse button, find the photo on your PC. If larger than 1024 kBits then you need to crop, change the resolution or reduce pixel size.
Press host it.
Allow for their server to upload it. When uploaded you will be given a number of URL's you can use to post it. Choose last on " Direct link to image"
On the post you are making, click IMG and paste the URL and then IMG again

If this is the right way I will have posted a picture of the pontoon on the beach of the Conrad. I stayed their in March. I had to change the pixel depth of this photo as it was 1660kBits.
I am now going to get told off by Briar (Moderator) for posting this photo, as it is larger than the page size. Sorry Briar, I was only trying to help.

Hi everyone,
We are due to fly ot to sharm on July 7th on a family holiday(4 adults 2 kids). However I am a little worried by the reports on BBC news24 yesterday regrding the increased terrorisim threat to tourists in the Sinai area. The foreign office were quoted as saying security had been stepped up in the area. Called my travel agent who advised they have had no notice to advise travellers as yet. This situation is causing me some concern. Has any one got any more info that may help.

Eclipse brochure came last Wednesday and i couldnt hang on any longer!

Had big probs booking with Eclipse though! in the brochure its advertising low deposits of £30 pp. Seeing as I'm going on hols in just over a month a low deposit sounded just what i needed

Went through the whole booking process online only to find that when it came to giving card details it was either pay whole cost or £130 pp

Phoned helpline to be told that because you get an online discount you cant have the £30 deposit. So phoned to book instead and holiday price quoted was £800 more than online price When i asked the girl to check she shirtily told me there was no mistake

Thought about this overnight. retrieved actual brochure from my mother's and worked the price out. Could see at most holiday would work out at £120 more. ... Did have cynical thought that as telephone lines were about to close last night was the girl just trying to get rid of me....

So phoned again this morn, not showing i'd called the previous evening and price quoted was £40 more expensive than online! where had the £800 come from?

Booked it! I know its £40 more than online but it means i've been able to book the hol i want cos of the low deposit.

Think eclipse should make it clear though that low deposit doesnt apply to online bookings ( strangely though i had no probs booking this yrs hol online and having low deposit with them )

Only 14 months to wait now!

Forgot to say that when I was on the phone today booking my holiday, when I said where I wanted to book for, the chappie said that one of the girls in the office has just come back from there and on her first day back in work she went to see her boss, booked the rest of her annual leave and is going straight back in a fortnight!

Sorry for the delay in my reply - been away for the weekend. I got 1 botle of gel santizer from Supadrug - perhaps I should get more !! although I don't intend to handle too much Egyptian money on the AI deal!

I got the photo off a travel web site recommended by Caveman - Mostravel. I think it was a Russian site - well foreign anyway, but did have that photo.

Re the troubles in the News. I haven't heard anything myself but will check all the News desks on line today & report back.

Does anyone know if the shop in the hotel sells things like coffee etc.?

My partner will only drink Nescafe & to stop him packing a large jar of the stuff, it would be great if they sold it on site & also - what about milk???
