Hi!
Thankyou for a very informative post!
Sounds as though you enjoyed your holiday, I'm certainly looking forward to mine!
I'm not too worried about the food as I'm not a particularly fussy eater, neither are my family, so hopefully we'll all find something we like.

The building work next door has just started. You must be deaf not to hear the jack hammer!!!!! We have just got back and the food was not as good as you have been told. It will take some time for them to get used to all inclusive both for food and drinks. Guests have to sign for every drink including water. This may change with time. The weather is too hot 35 to 40. However some love that heat. Both of us got tumy trouble 3 days in and many others had same problem. Met them at doctors. Immodeum does not work out there. Doctor told me that after we were still struggling after one week of not keeping anything in. The hotel is unsuitable for disabled and elderly or anyone with walkng problems .. It is all steps and ramps. Nothing much for children. All inclusive attracts some of the worst of the brits. Yes you do get good bar service if you tip them. Especally at the pool bar. When your glass is empty they just bring you another. If you want a drink in the room dont use the mini bar. It caused confusion when we all checked out. No one had correct bill . All overcharged. Buy your drink duty free on way out. Also your fags, because not much choice on way back. Yes the journed out and back was stressful and all agreed.Warning for the ladies the water is very soft and when washing hair leaves it hard to get right without products. The room we were in 4120 main building was tired and more 3 star. Although clean. No mossies. Great. But others in nearby hotels were bothered with biting ants. The building next door will not be finished by June r the end of it. We intend to go back to resort but not this hotel.
Cheers for your reviews i especially like the bit in Josflat where you say about the baggage weight .
"They did not weigh ases on the return journey"
I hope not

Fish bar still not open.
No chairs around the pool.
Still average food of an evening.
Fight to get a snack lunchtime.
Still very poor entertainment.
Can't use the Italian Restaurant any more.
Overcharging at reception.
No room in the bar, still.
What's good - it's cheap.
Do the birds still fly around the restaurant at breakfast?
oh yes. many.
oh yes. many.
As you have just returned, can you advise if it is worth going
to this hotel. We are due to go in August, but I am getting slightly worried now. The food is not good, tummy upsets etc. Is there anything good about this Hotel.
If you like snorkelling ect.great. Sun great. I am surethe food wil improve. But we have done many all inc. before andwe would not dothis one again. Loads ofthe brits were not happy. They are not sure what we want. They are tryingto adept. You have tobe up early to get a pool sunbed.. We got reallypissed on our last night. Left our day bag on sunbed with suncreams flip flops , sarong ect. Gone inthe morning. That will teachme......Good luck Victor.
But like all good things something has to give. Forget the 5* tag this hotel is given as it's not even 4*.
The English are unfortunately too forgiving. We seem to offset one bad thing against one good. The thing is the good things cannot be attributed to the hotel ie. lots of sun, beautiful sand and lovely sea with the snorkelling etc.
The hotel have got it terribly wrong and worked better with HB. If you only get away once a year, want all the things things the Red Sea has and you want a good AI package. Then you'll have to cough up a grand and go to Cancun, Cuba etc. If money is an issue, then sacrifices have to be made. Having said that, I,m giving the CSR a go in October and hope they've got it right.
FromScotland we paid £1700for the two of us. We had a great laugh with the 16 pool players fromManchester. Who drank one third of the total hotels beer in the week they were there.
I went through all this worry last year after very negative reviews from the hotel in Bulgaria I was supposed to be staying at.
Looks like I'm about to go through the same Eclipse/FC again, although this time it's too late to cancel.
Maybe one year I'll get it right.
There's always this one pippy
Is a bit disappointing to hear some of the comments but the reviews before the AI were good so if i have to eat out a bit more at nght so be it.
Most places serve similar breakfasts/lunches it seems to be the dinners causing a problem, as caveman says its cheap i only paid £500 for my 2 week holiday so cant complain . Myself and my Husband have been AI in a few countries Kenya, Mexico to 5* hotels where weve paid nearly £2000 each and the sometimes felt the food was repetetive. I think this is nearly always the case when your AI. If you were on a HB board basis eating out all the time you wouldnt go to the same restaraunt every night would you? this is why i eat out maybe every second night depending on how the food is but im not fussy i live on salad as im veggie .Hopefully the Ai will improve in time as all the reviews were very good it seems a shame this may have spoiled a good hotel.

Christ Victor, you can get 2 weeks next May for £1286 for 2 people from Manchester. Why did you have to pay all that?
And Mazzy, you've got me down to a tee, he he he
Spare bed? what spare bed!!!!, I can't find it it's covered......
Not long to wait now.
Kelly
we are due to go to the conrad on the 21st july and are a little worried about all the negative comments!!
like pippy, i feel a bit off
Josflat - could you post the pictures that you have got of the building work ??
We all think that for the price we have paid for this holiday it is still worth going - to change would cost hundreds and we would prefer to spend that money out there havin a good time!! besides it is a bit late to change now so making the best of it is all you can do !!
A few years ago my family and I went to Corralejo in Fuerteventura.
We stayed A/I.
Didn't like the resort.
Weren't too impressed with the apartments.
Food was awful!
But...
We still had a good holiday
The hotel I would have stayed at last year had I not read the reviews on HT, was only just completed, there were reports of unfinished areas all over the hotel anf grounds, including open lift shafts, and open manhole covers, and construction equipment driving past people sunbathing by the pool!
I think I can cope with the food, and I'm not bothered about entertainment as I'll be swimming all day, reading in the evening, then probably going to bed quite early ready for the next day's swimmimg!
I think that we will all have a good holiday
The food will be ok for us - we are not a fussy family and as weve been to egypt before (in december last year ) we know that there are lots of places to eat in naama bay. Theres kfc, pizza hut and mcdonalds for the kids and mexican and chinese/thai - far too much choice for us all to starve!! Best of all the prices are around half of what you would pay here!! They are also a lot cleaner !!
We all knew that we had got a bargain price and i think that by the time we go the hotel will have got much better with the AI
At least we are guaranteed good
plenty of
Still looking foreward to it !!!
Hi All
Thats too right debs!!
