Hi Becky

I tried a few cocktails and found most of them to be.........revolting!
I can't comment on the beer as I didn't sample that, but I did drink the rum (with cola) from the beach bar and that was very nice

If good quality alcoholic beverages are high on your list of priorities then The Conrad wouldn't be the ideal choice :?

If you're seeking a fantastic beach, incredible sea life and friendly staff then it most certainly would be!

Hi Becky

Must agree with everything Pippy has said, Cola is good and the beer is a local Stalla and is definately drinkable, even I drank a few and I don't like beer.

if you want a decent cocktail at a very good price head to Hard Rock one night the Hurricanes are very good

thanks pippy and angela ill definately keep that in mind! (and yes i am indeed looking forward to the beach and snorkelling too! :) )

a lot of people seem to speak highly of the hard rock cafe, i think it deserves a visit, are the prices reasonable?
what time do the shuttle buses stop running to naama bay from the hotel?
Reply
The prices in Hard Rock are very good. 5 of us had a jumbo starter, main corse and drinks for around £40.
The bus leaves the hotel at 5,7&9. It leaves Naama at 9.30, 11 & 12.
if you are really brave you could get a taxi back to the hotel as long as you are not of a nervous disposition.

There is a "list" of cocktails available in the AI package, but basically they were of the rum and coke, brandy and coke type of drink with a funny name.
When I got back to the UK I was told that the Egyptian drinks are "wrong" and that for example gin is like vodka and vodka is like gin, whiskey is more like rum etc or something on those lines. Didn't think of varying the drinks while over there so don't know if this is true or not.

hmm i think ill try and stick the the shuttle lol :P thanks for your help everyone only 23 days to go :D :D :D :D :D
Does anyone have any idea how busy the beach and pool will get around the start - mid september time?

Hi, Im going to the Conrad in 4 weeks and one of the rooms we've booked is the twin with shower and toilet, the other is a twin with private facilities and balcony.....so will be intresting to compare the two. I read somewhere that all rooms had a balcony, and Ive read in one persons review that the balcony view consited of little more than a tree and a neighbouring wall about 8 feet away. Doesnt bother me too greatly cos I spend little time in the room, but would be interested of others views (excuse the pun) on the balcony situation :)

When we were there last year the ice creams were not free and had to be bought from the shop. As for the rooms we were given ground floor apartments with a lovely sun terrace with table and chairs and overlooking the pool. We simply came out off our patio doors and walked across the path and we were at the poolside which was great. The rooms were lovely but obviously we couldn't come out the rooms and leave the doors open as we were on ground floor. When we booked we had twin rooms with balcony on our booking forms but ended up with these which like i said was great.

Just a quick question to anyone who has been to the Conrad, I know that all inclusive meals are based around the main buffet restaurant, but can you get food from the pool/beach bar too? Just thinking that I may not be able to tear myself from the pool/beach at lunch time!!!!

Snacks (usually pizza) are served at the poolbar between 11&12.
delicious danish pastries are served at the beach bar around 4.30.
Lunch is served between 12.30 & 3.00 so there is plenty of time to fit your lunch in. it gets so hot around midday so most people are glad to get inside for a short while.

yet another question! does this hotel have a general store/mini market near by where we can buy fruit juice etc?
Reply
There are a few shops at the Baron Hotel complex next door, just ask at reception if you can't find the way

The mini-market really is very mini, it sells drinks, crisps, snorkelling equipment and ciggies........that's about it!

This will be my third stay at the Conrad, we're going Thurs 15th....can't wait. I cannot fault this hotel, for me this is a first to stay at a hotel more than once. It may not be the poshest hotel in Sharm, but makes up for it in other ways. The staff are friendly and nothing is a problem. The beach is gorgeous and snorkelling is out of this world. It's close enough to Narma, but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. Also...the cocktails are not the best!!!!!

Hi Kat, how long are you staying at the Conrad for ? i arrive at about 9 on the 21" :)

Hi, has anyone got the email address for this hotel? We're off next weekend and I want to request rooms together. Thanks
