She was so helpful, she really was and got us brilliant connections with no waiting around.

Haven't booked BOM to GOI yet.................thought I;d hang on. Deccan is deffo the cheapest, but so many bad reports....................

Jannerlilly,
Any time we've flown from Gatwick to Dabolim with Monarch on the Sun flight, it has been direct with no stop offs. Also the luggage allowance was 20kg. But you should check with Monarch just in case it has changed.

GEC, thanks for that. I did ask the travel agent about stop offs, they said there wasn't, but I wasn't totally convinced with their answer!! The people on this forum know what they are talking about.

Hopefully luggage will be 20kg. Am sure the tickets will advise. Just got worried as heard some 15kg rumours and the thought of having to be stricter was shopping was killing me!

We fly with Monarch on 18 jan direct flight 15KG baggage allowance.

Hi All

Has anyone got any info regarding the flights from Manchester to Goa with Thomsonfly ie what type of plane, luggage allowance etc? Also not sure if stop over in Abu Dhabi or not?........

Seems not many people had experience of these flights yet.....

Thanks Louise

mmc, thanks for that. Sounds like we will be 15kg then also. Typical, I have trouble with 20kg for a city break!!!. Gonna have to REALLY think about what to pack now and what to leave behind. Will have to take the bare minimum if I want to bring things back.

Baggage allowance is 20kg hold and 5kg hand luggage. Every kg overweight is an extra £9 each way.

Thanks Ann

Did you book with Thomson or with Portland (their direct company). I am sure they said we had to stop off on way but was told that years ago on a Monarch flight and we didnt stop off.......Great news if we dont have to stop as kids might sleep on plane. We fly at 12.35 lunchtime and arrive at 05.35 does that seem right to you with no stop off? I have no idea how long it should take as every flight we have had has been different!

I`m no expert but Goa is 5 1/2 hours ahead of us so that means you land at midnight our time, so that means an 11 1/2 hour flight so looks like you will have a stop off at Bahrain or Dubai, hope this helps

I used Dr Ambert for my teeth whitening...................he's a great guy, but for all other work I use a guy in Panjim, just for the pure reason he was reccommended to me years ago, and as i am absolutely petrified of the dentist, he is the only guy who has managed to get me into the dreaded chair in years!!! He talks me through everything and tells me to raise my hand if i want him to stop and he gives me a mirror to hold so I can see what he is up to...................sounds daft I know but when you have a phobia,a guy like this is a godsend...............

Dr Ajay K Aras
Ghanekar Building Gr.Floor
Jose Falccao Road
Near Secratariat
PANAJI - GOA 403 001
Dial. 2435616

He is fully registered, speaks wonderful english and is just round the corner from the opticians in Panjim!!!

Sorry to drift off MODS, just answering Goannes question..................
re the BOM - GOI flights will keep you posted, gonna have a chat with a BOMBAY friend, but in the meantime check out http://www.skyscanner.net for flights

Hi Nellie :) I think takeflight travel are taking bookings for next season. You may find them useful. I have used them for flight only. Their telephone number is 0870-561532. They do flights from gatwick and manchester. Hope this helps.
