Elliebee and Tightjock recommended some beach huts at Agonda. Look so nice and such a lovely setting. We are going to (hopefully) try them out in November
Take a look at:
The huts are so nice Madaboutgoa. The setting is stunning also. Hope we manage to get along there in Novmeber.
The huts look fantastic MAG I am really interested in staying there, can you tell me how I go about booking them please? We are going in December 18-January1st. Do you know roughly what the cost is and is food available etc. We did the Jungle trip and loved it (apart from me being terrified at night of the creepy crawlies) Any information would be gratefully received thankyou
The huts belong to Shekhar, who also owns Madhu shack and the food there is absolutely wonderful, serving Goan, Chinese and Continental cuisine. He has a wonderful tandoori chef ~ the tandoori King Fish and Tandoori roast potatoes are gorgeous (I'm sure Tightjock will agree me with me !!). Very extensive menu and cheap to boot.
Hope this helps.
p.s. I wrote a review of Agonda it's on the Things To Do In South Goa thread the link is on the Q and A's on resorts sticky
Thanks for the replies, I will read up on the beach huts tonight, its something different for us to do and the food sounds fabulous
brought this back for raving pixie

Hi Tightjock Is it Madhu Beach huts that you stayed in at Agonda? I think Elliebee also recommends the same beach huts. We hope to go to Agonda in March, just trying to sort out where to stay.
off to candolim on the 26th january and are sorting out, a few nights down south to stay on one of the beach huts.
were going with another couple.
Could anyone tell us, which is the best of the beache to stay at, we would like to stay in a beach hut that has private facilities, rather than sharing one.
Also roughly how long does it take to get south in a taxi and would the 4 of us be ok sharing.
thanks
Just had an email from friends who are backpacking round the India & the Far East. They found Palolem just too busy at this time of the year and have moved on south into Karnataka and are staying at Kudle beach at Gokarna where they are paying 70 rps for their beach hut and reckon it is far better than Palolem. Alan
thanks for that, i don't really want to go to palolem, as it does seem to busy, but i want to stay somewhere, there is something to do during the day, and at night just have a nice meal with a bottle of wine.
Wickedchris, when we go in March, I don't care where it is as long as it has its own loo!! Priority for me. I am even happy to pay more for it.
We went Palolem last March, and to be honest it didn't seem too busy at all, we will be going back this March!
Just a bit of a tip when you stay in the beach huts, take some ear plugs the sea/waves crashing can be quite noisy or the other alternative is romanov vodka or honeybee to knock you out!!!
Thanks for the tip, very handy to know
i just want a loo, of my own, off to do some research tonight.
but if anyone can come up with some good ideas before then i will be grateful. thanks
Gemma, Honeybee with coffee and cream of course...delicious
